LPO INVITED TO CARNEGIE HALL Dear LPO Friends and Family, I'm excited to unveil the LPO's 2017-2018 season! I hope you enjoy exploring the programming in this brochure much as the musicians, staff, and I have enjoyed planning this musically diverse season.

LPO NEWS! The LPO is honored to have been selected as one of only two orchestras to participate in Carnegie Hall's Philip Glass Festival during their 2017-2018 season. Carnegie Hall will present the LPO on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 on the Stern Stage in the Perelman Auditorium, marking the orchestra’s first ever performance in this landmark concert hall celebrated for its wonderful acoustics. We are well underway with fundraising for this once in a lifetime opportunity (including a substantional booking fee from Carnegie) BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! Our final family concert of the season will feature music of the animals including a new work based on the popular local book What the Sleepy Animals Do at Audubon Zoo.

Join the LPO for an interactive romp through the symphonies of Haydn featuring the hilarious antics of the Goat in the Road clowns. "Haydn Seek" was developed by New Resonance Orchestra in collaboration with Goat in the Road Productions.
