Aztec Key: May 2021

Page 1

-Monica Ngiyen On May 21, I attended the Save Your Tears Banquet Event with LQKC. During this event, we were able to say goodbye to our loving seniors and have an amazing time by playing games and talking to one another. At the beginning of the event, we played an icebreaker where everyone got to compliment someone they have never met before. After that, we got to hear sweet speeches from our current and former LTG. I hosted an Among Game in my breakout room and it was fun as I got to meet new people. At the end of our banquet, we got to hear love letters from our friends and members. I surprisingly got a few. I recommend going to banquets like this one next year since I will be a senior and leaving. Next year, it will most likely be in person, so stay tuned for that. I hope to see you there!

The D04N May DCM: Splash of Service was the DCM for May. This one was especially special since members who tried out for DLT would be released at the end. It was also very special because we got to hear everyone sing karaoke. Though I heard some screams, weird songs, different lyrics, and high pitched noises, it was really fun and I loved hearing it. I hope to do karaoke every DCM and I hope to join next time! I was anticipating the DLT results since my favorite best friend and favorite Historian, Teresa Nguyen from La Quinta Key Club, had tried out prior to the DCM. When results were released, I had seen that Teresa had gotten her position! I was so proud and screaming. This DCM was definitely a lot more emotional than usual since I felt more connected. I saw a lot of people I knew and everyone was more interactive.
