Rise Up and Stand Firm

Psalm 20:8

Annual Review 2011-2012

uuuuuu Message from Head of School

We are the tree in Psalm 1 planted by streams of water; we are the mature live oak tree with deep roots, a sturdy trunk and a high crown. Over the course of the past school year, we rose up. We stood firm. As promised, our roots pushed deeper, our trunk widened her girth and our crown reached higher. Every new school year builds on the hard work and contributions of the previous season. Standing tall in the 35th year of our school’s history, we recognize our debt to the prior 34 years of blood, sweat and tears which shaped us into who we are today.

Gary B. Arnold Head of School

In fact, our appreciation of the past fuels our present momentum. As the Scriptures say, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness”(Col. 2:6-7). It is in a spirit overflowing with thankfulness that we review God’s blessings from the last school year. May the testimony of His mighty hand among us be an encouragement to you and all those who advance the mission of Little Rock Christian Academy, God’s school.

CLOUD NINE ON HIGHWAY 10 uuuuuu 2012 National Blue Ribbon School

On Friday, September 7, 2012, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced the recipients of the U.S. Department of Education’s 2012 BLUE RIBBON SCHOOLS program. Our dear school, LITTLE ROCK CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, is on the list of 269 schools from across the nation and one of three from Arkansas to receive the esteemed blue ribbon. Our particular BLUE RIBBON designation is “EXEMPLARY HIGHPERFORMING.” The National Blue Ribbon flag has become a trademark of excellence. This year, out of 100,000 schools in America, 269 schools were granted the coveted Blue Ribbon award. Of the 269 recipient schools, 219 are public schools; fifty are private schools from across the nation. Little Rock Christian is one of the fifty schools. (By the way, there are only five Christian schools on the list of 269.) In the thirty year history of the U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Schools program, no Little Rock school has received the award - until this year. What an affirmation for Little Rock for two schools to be recognized as exemplary, high-performing schools. (Congratulations to Forest Park Elementary School of Little Rock who also received a blue ribbon.) The U.S. Department of Education bestows this highest honor upon our school as a K-12 unit school. Therefore, under one umbrella of Little Rock Christian Academy, our elementary school, middle school, and high school are so recognized. The Council of American Private Education tells us that blue ribbon awards for K-12 unit schools are rare. What a testimony to the vision and mission of our school and the daily focus of our teachers and students. Rooted and built up on 35 years of godly history, the mission of Little Rock Christian is clear: the K-12 education we provide is characterized by excellence and permeated with a Christ-centered worldview. In biblical language, excellence means “fulfilling one’s potential or purpose.” Our board of trust puts it this way: Little Rock Christian Academy seeks to be a pre-eminent K-12 academic institution that offers an excellent collegepreparatory curriculum all the while teaching and modeling the truth of Jesus Christ.

3

Simply put, we claim a double mandate: we must do Jesus well; we must do education well. How fitting that our school theme this year is “Walk Worthy!” The diligent work, perseverance, commitment, and high standards of our professionals have earned our school this high honor. Test scores, school culture, best practices in the classroom, and breadth and depth of program combined for us to receive this respected award. As a K-12 school – elementary, middle school, and high school - our Golden Triangle of home, church, and school working together is getting results. Vision, mission, strategic plan, professionalism, student engagement, lifelong learning, and a devotion to truth in Jesus Christ all contribute to this respected award. But, ultimately, classroom dynamics and student achievement sealed the deal for us - teachers and students learning together. By God’s grace, He has permitted us to rightly receive recognition for a job well done. With humble and grateful hearts, we will obey the command in Leviticus to walk with our heads held high. Special thanks to our educational leaders, our faculty, and our students for their achievements that bring this to pass. Again, to receive a U.S. Department of Education blue ribbon award is of the highest honor in K-12 education. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to shine for Him. Thank you for believing in us and entrusting your children to us. May God be praised and magnified by this honor. It is significant to have objective evidence that we are fulfilling our potential and purpose. This blue ribbon is for you; it’s for us; it’s for Him. Gratefully yours,

Gary B. Arnold, Ed. D. Head of School / President “Walk in a manner pleasing to the Lord … bearing fruit in every good work …” (Colossians 1:10)

Little Rock Christian Academy’s vision is to be a pre-eminent K4-12 academic institution offering an excellent college preparatory curriculum while serving the broadest spectrum of students possible. Faith-based, pre-collegiate, non-denominational, and independent of any particular church, LRCA is accredited through the Arkansas Non-Public School Accrediting Association (ANSAA), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), AdvancED, and The Council of Educational Standards and Accountability (CESA).

LRCA is the independent school of choice for over 800 families in the greater Little Rock area. In academics, arts, athletics and service, students and faculty exhibit a growth mindset that fosters an insatiable appetite for learning. The Little Rock Christian curriculum is constructed upon the foundation of accepted best practices, Arkansas state standards, Common Core standards, and exemplary curriculum from schools throughout the nation. The Biblical Worldview curriculum is the distinguishing mark of our upper school curriculum. Class discussion is Socratic and includes a variety of readings that have contributed to Western intellectual history. Our teachers work diligently to expose the attributes of God in everything. We also greatly value our students’ ability to articulate their faith, recognize counterfeits and bridge their understanding of truth through the lens of our Christ-centered worldview. All standard, honors, pre-Advanced Placement, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are rigorous, standards-based, and college-preparatory. Well-designed curriculum (constructed with the end in mind), learner-centered instruction, proven teaching methodologies and an attitude of life-long learning add up to authentic and well-educated students. During 2011-12, 76 juniors and seniors were enrolled in AP classes which included: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, U.S. Government and Politics, European History, U.S. History, Music, Language, Literature, and Calculus AB and BC.

111 Seniors were awarded diplomas during the 2012 graduation ceremony at Fellowship Bible Church. In the processional, graduates were greeted by faculty who invested in the lives of these students, including 33 students who attended Little Rock Christian Academy (then Walnut Valley Christian Academy) since Kindergarten. Dr. Arnold exuberantly acknowledged LRCA’s 1,000th graduate, Matthew Levy. Graduates and overflowing guests were inspired by speeches from Salutatorian Carter Neblett, Valedictorian Joshua Hurlbut, and guest speaker and long-time Board member Scott Ford. Steven Murphy, chosen by the class of 2012, also entertained the audience with the LRCA traditional Memory Speech. Both Steven and Mr. Ford reminded this class of the strength that they have brought to the Little Rock Christian community as a group. They have proven to be a team of true servant leaders.

NCTE Achievement Award

David Lepine was one of eight Arkansas winners in the 2011 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Achievement Awards in Writing program. The recipients were chosen from 1,649 students who were nominated during their junior year by teachers from all 50 states including the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Canada, and American schools abroad.

David Lepine

The Achievement Awards in Writing was established to encourage high school students in their writing and to recognize publicly some of the best student writers in the nation. Assessments of student writing are based on samples of their own best prose or verse and on impromptu themes that are written under supervision. English teachers judge the entries, looking especially for writing that demonstrates effective and imaginative use of language to inform and move an audience. 9

uuuuuu Lower School

Teaching students to rise up and stand firm begins at an early age. At LRCA we are committed to cultivating an environment where students can develop a heart for God from the moment they arrive on our campus. This is most evident in our passion for service within the LRCA community, greater Little Rock, and the world. Our lower school participated in a variety of service opportunities during the 2011-2012 school year.

Little Rock Christian Academy recognizes that the extended family is a crucial component in the success of our students. Every year we set aside a special day to open our campus to the beloved grandparents of our lower school students. Elementary students take time to honor their grandparents through a musical program, tour of their classrooms, and an essay contest sponsored by Chick-fil-A. Grandparents Day is one of our favorite days on campus!

uuuuuu Upper School

The Little Rock Christian Academy Upper School, consisting of middle school (grades six through eight) and high school (grades nine through twelve), is in the business of growing mature leaders who will take the message of Christ to a watching world. The Biblical Worldview curriculum is the distinguishing mark of our Upper School.

Middle school students received focused, expert instruction in particular subject areas, but also learned social and organizational skills through service projects, advisory groups, retreats, and special events. Our middle school students grew as writers, developed proportional reasoning skills, explored science, and learned to think biblically about academics, athletics, arts and social responsibility. As leaders of our student body, the high school once again served the community and the world exceptionally well through service projects, events, and J-Term experiences as they continued to excel in the arts and in academic and athletic challenges.

Duke University’s Talent Identification Program This year, a record 63 seventh graders, approximately half of the class, qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP), Since 1980, the Duke program has been a global leader in identifying academically talented students, representing participation from nearly 6,000 junior high and middle schools in the southeastern region of the U.S. The 7th Grade Talent Search, which focuses on the identification, recognition, and support of high-ability students, offers qualifying seventh grade students the opportunity to take college entrance exams alongside high school students. These academic achievers scored in the top 95% of the national norms on these college entrance exams.

Middle School Service Projects

The sixth grade participated in Christmas-season projects, serving the North Little Rock Boys and Girls Club, the North Little Rock Police Department, and a Little Rock nursing home. They collected and boxed a variety of items for the Boys and Girls Club: board games, basketballs, footballs, and art and school supplies. Groups visited all three locations, providing refreshments at each.

It was wonderful seeing our students interacting with others, both young and old.

–Nancy Crow, BWV teacher

One middle school girls’ advisory group sponsored a family for Christmas. They gathered at the home of Ginger Wade, their advisory teacher, to wrap gifts for the family, having fun while giving the most meaningful Christmas gifts, love and compassion to others in need.

High School Service Projects As campus leaders, the high school displayed the love of Christ throughout the community this year through a number of service projects. In total, 203 high school students contributed 97 service hours each, with the total senior class working 5,037 hours. Student Council hosted a 5k run, “Miles for Miles” to benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital in honor of Miles Nipper, son of high school teacher Christina Nipper. High School students worked with Samaritan’s Feet to provide new shoes for 300 children. The LRCA school family generously gave $3,882 as they shared the love of Christ by washing the feet of the children. Twenty-one seniors, under the direction of student Whitney Day, planned, decorated, and hosted a spring Prom for the Access School in our high school Commons. 13

Thirteen senior men competed in the fourth annual Mr. LRCA pageant, an entertaining competition which raised nearly $2,000 to help Go Near Ministry build a well in Kenya. Mr. LRCA 2012 was Van Berry; runner-up was Ben Shuffield; and Mr. Congeniality was David Lepine.

Economics Teams Win State

Five teams under the leadership of economics teacher Susie Thompson participated in the regional Economics Arkansas competition at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Two of Little Rock Christian’s teams— one in the Adam Smith division, and one in the Ricardo division— progressed to the state championship rounds and won first place. Along with monetary awards from the Federal Reserve, and regional and state trophies, the teams advanced to the national preliminaries. Adam Smith Team: Austin Brown, Steven Murphy, Kyle Baer, and Austin Dewitt Ricardo Team: Blake Keeling, Daniel Williams, Nate Whitesell, and Eric Hern

Blake Keeling, Economics Student of the Year

Blake Keeling earned the individual honor of Arkansas Economics Student of the Year with the highest cumulative score throughout the competition.

Model UN

Fifteen students traveled to the University of Central Arkansas to participate in the 46th Annual Arkansas Model U.N. Conference, an academic simulation of the United Nations that attracts some of the top academic schools from Arkansas and the southeastern United States. Before the conference, students were placed into countries and committees. They then worked with their classmates to prepare papers and research solutions over assigned positions reflecting current issues faced by the UN and countries around the world. At the conference, the students represented their countries in both committee and plenary sessions and worked to devise and implement solutions for the problems. The conference is a challenging environment that drills students in diplomacy and problem-solving as well as parliamentary procedure, academic research, paper writing, and public debate. The LRCA group, representing Colombia, Switzerland, and Venezuela, performed well and was recognized for their enthusiasm, joyfulness and pursuit of excellence. Our head delegates, Michael Munevar, Jess Smith, and Brittany Johnston, received recognition. Michael was also recognized as an Honorable Mention Outstanding Delegate.

January Term

J-Term trip to Great Britain

J-Term (an interim “semester” that runs the first two weeks of January after Christmas break) provides unique opportunities for LRCA students to experience people, places, events and experiences that are not afforded in the regular classroom setting. We love to hear how God uses the J-Term experience to help students grow, develop their giftedness, experience vocational or missional settings where God may be leading them. The structure of the two weeks also allows for deeper relationships with teachers and small groups of students, as well as focused in-depth study.

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”—St. Augustine In 2012, LRCA students expanded the pages of their “book” with both educational and mission

trips. Some travelled to Great Britain or France/Spain and learned about history and culture while visiting museums, historical architecture, and absorbing diverse cultures. Others served by laboring on construction projects, working with teens or small children, or providing Bible study and worship opportunities in the Bahamas, Guatemala, or Jamaica.

Travel is the key to a rich education and grows a person, mentally, emotionally, and most important, spiritually. Travel opens up God’s world to us. — Terri Swedenburg, J-Term Trip Coordinator Internships allow junior and senior students to explore possible career paths. In 2012 the range was broad in content and wide in geographical scope. Students interned in the fields of pharmacy, biomedicine, accounting, architecture, retail, sports, ministry, animal science, and communications. The venues spanned from local institutions, such as the Arkansas Heart Hospital and Fellowship Bible Church, to Kenya.

Internships during J-Term have been so valuable! These experiences have oftentimes aided in life decisions the students will be facing regarding college majors and career choice, and more importantly in the discovery of how God has uniquely equipped them. — Patrick Salman, Student Life In addition to trips and internships, J-Term offers a diverse assortment of small, unique classes. Some students learned basic exegesis of the New Testament or the history of worship music in Hymnology. Some learned a new sport or activity by participating in Outdoor Skills and Leadership, Rock Climbing, Horseback Riding, or Ice Skating. For those interested in the arts, ReCreate, Acrylic Painting, Sequential Art, Redemption in Film, and Steel Drum Band provided unique learning opportunities. Courses on Geology, Arkansas History, Arab Spring, Arkansas Wildlife, Culinary Arts, Digital Video, and Photojournalism were also available. Others served at Rice Depot, Arkansas Foodbank, or Our House.

God has given all of us creative talents to use for His glory. At Little Rock Christian, we believe in developing these gifts and abilities in the lives of our students. Our fine arts department is committed to pursuing excellence in the arts. The 2011-2012 school year furthered this mission.

Pygmalion cast

The performing arts department continued to present energetic, dynamic plays and musicals, with award-winning vocalists and musicians. This year’s fall play, George Shaw’s “Pygmalion” featured December Ensminger as Eliza Doolittle, and co-stars Everett Mansur, Chris Elkins and Jonathan Adams, along with many other talented performers. In the spring, the student cast, crew, and musicians presented the Broadway musical “Hello Dolly”. Dolly was played by senior Tori Stephenson. The following seniors gave their grand finale performances: David Lepine, Tori Stephenson, Jack Wren, John Tyler White, Jonathan Adams, Caroline Groustra, Julia Viera and Mary Claire Hill.

Warrior Choirs also displayed amazing talent with nearly half of all junior and senior high students who auditioned qualifying for the All-Region, Mixed, and Treble Choirs. Jake Briggs, second bass in All-State Men’s Chorus and Caroline Groustra, first soprano in All-State Women’s Chorus placed in the top 1% in the state for All-State Choir.

Warrior Band and Orchestra had another remarkable season under the direction of Danielle Hodges. LRCA’s gifted musicians were among the best in their field receiving superior and excellent ratings in all competitive arenas. Sophomore, Luke Snyder made Little Rock Christian history as the first instrumentalist to receive placement in Arkansas All-State Band competition. The visual arts department continues to develop the creative talents of their students. Our students received an outstanding number of visual arts awards for 2011-12. Some students had the opportunity to participate in the Arkansas Art Educator’s Central Region Show. Arden Ricks received first place, Maggie McMorran and Lauren Worthington placed third. Arden Ricks was also featured in the prestigious Arkansas Art Educator’s State Show. Award-winning “Lion” by Arden Ricks

Little Rock Christian students begin exploring creative talents at an early age. Three of our elementary students were featured in the Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition/Arkansas Art Center’s Townsend Wolfe Gallery: Coleman Karrh, 2nd grade; Emma Huchingson, 4th grade; and Hope Boshears, 5th grade.

PARENT TEACHER FELLOWSHIP (PTF)

annually delivers substantial monies (over $200,000) for the enhancement of the LRCA campus and classroom projects. The largest fundraisers again this year were WarriorFest and the spring auction which raised over $72,000. Volunteers tirelessly challenged the community to use their Kroger cards, adding another $46,000 to be used for technology on campus. Other profitable fundraisers included the collection of box tops, continued sale of the school’s “Whip It Up” cookbook, and the production and sale of the LRCA Family Directory, for an additional $5,731.

PTF contributed over $100,000 toward campus technology, with other significant contributions being used for elementary awnings and the start-up of the new Valley Foods lunch program. Other projects include:

New Families Luncheon- a social for the families of our 227 new students

Grandparents Day-an annual tradition which raised nearly $23,000 for the purchase of new books for the elementary and middle school libraries, as well as renewal of the Accelerated Reader Program

Father-Daughter Dance-a blast from the past as our 3rd through 5th grade girls were escorted by their dads to a 1950’s sock hop! The money raised from this event went specifically to elementary Principal Ann Chami’s wish list.

Teacher Appreciation-PTF presented our 200+ faculty and staff members with LRCA fleece jackets at Christmas. In February, faculty in each building enjoyed fabulous lunches and treats for the full week of Valentine’s Day.

School Tool Box-Parents found their elementary students’

school supplies waiting for them on “Meet the Teacher” day in August, purchasing boxes through PTF. Almost 70% of families participated and eliminated the worry of supply shopping!

uuuuuu Parent Involvement and Organizations

Fine Arts Council (FAC) exists for the purpose of enriching the arts at Little Rock

Christian Academy. This organization of volunteer parents desires to meet the unique needs of all fine arts programs and to encourage God-given talent in all aspects of the arts: visual, dramatic, instrumental and choral. The council works closely with fine arts teachers, the advancement director and the head of school for the benefit of elementary through high school students.

In past years, FAC has purchased musical instruments, a pottery kiln, studio mirrors, an acoustical shell for choir, and many other items.

This year’s contributions, totaling over $19,100 include: • A studio taboret, two mobile storage carts, and a vertical/horizontal board rack for visual art classes • Six MAC computers for the graphic design classes • $10,000 for band and orchestra instruments • $500 for the 2012-13 choir program • A laser jet color printer, Canon zoom lens, and memory/flash cards for the yearbook staff • Two sewing machines with accessories, folding tables, storage bins, and a costume storage rack for drama productions

Warrior Club is Little Rock Christian’s athletic booster club with the mission of supporting the Warrior Athletic programs through fund raisers and volunteering.

Last year, Warrior Club awarded scholarships, purchased new football uniforms, refurbished the cross country trail, installed an LED sign in Warrior gym, installed a new press box, and updated lights on Warrior Field, improved baseball and softball fields, purchased athletic awards, and contributed to state championship rings. Warrior Club also supplies numerous volunteers at athletic events. Volunteers not only exhibit the spirit of the Warrior Way, but also cook food, and sell concessions, tickets, programs and spirit wear.

Fund Raisers: In order to accomplish the needs of the athletic program, the Warrior Club organizes various fund raisers throughout the year: • Club Memberships/Season Passes • Football Programs • Field and Gym Advertising

• Warrior Spirit Wear Sales • Concession and Gate Sales • Golf Tournament

uuuuuu Warrior Hall/ Capital Campaign

Rising Up and Standing Firm: New Campus Master Plan Project Unveiled Academics, arts and athletics will be growing deeper, stronger and higher with the announcement of the next phase of Little Rock Christian Academy’s Campus Master Plan. In doing so, the school will hold true to the mission: “To serve families, churches, and the community by providing a PreK-12 education characterized by excellence in the pursuit of truth from a Christ-centered Worldview.” In this plan, a new facility called Warrior Hall will be constructed to house upper school band, choir, drama and visual arts. This 22,000 plus square foot facility will feature the school’s first performance hall, allowing Warrior artists a venue to display their creativity. Warrior Hall, with seating for 750, will also be well positioned for future expansion.

22

uuuuuu Warrior Hall/ Capital Campaign

Additionally, the existing Fine Arts Center will be recommissioned, encompassing grades five and six into Middle School and reconfiguring grades seven and eight into Junior High, which will be located in the existing Middle School building. This will better serve the unique characteristics of students ages 10-14. Renovating the Elementary Activities Center into a 15,000 square foot athletic complex will allow for improved locker rooms and training space, while protecting the elementary gym for lower school use. Elementary art and technology classrooms will be relocated to the main elementary building.

This three-dimensional construction plan, to be completed during the summer of 2013, is a bold Warrior game-changer. Academics, arts and athletics will all receive significant upgrades, solidifying the school’s commitment to the arts, as well as offering a multi-purpose facility for activities and events.

uuuuuu Alumni Spotlight

We are Warriors to the core, and that extends far beyond the final graduation walk. Walking Worthy is a lifelong commitment.

Little Rock Christian Academy has a rich history of developing in students a love for God and a love for learning. Many of our students leave LRCA with fond memories of all that God did in their life throughout the course of their education. Once they are gone, our alumni give back in a variety of ways. For the first time in history, LRCA has an alumnus who is giving back in the best way possible—by sending his own children to Little Rock Christian Academy. Stephen Carlisle (’97) came to Little Rock Christian Academy (then Walnut Valley Christian Academy) in 1986 for the beginning of his 2nd grade year. Mrs. Ann Chami, current Elementary School principal, was his first teacher at LRCA and served as a Christ-like ambassador for him in those early years. But his exposure to Christian principles did not end there. In fact, it was only the beginning. Carlisle was the beneficiary of years of Christ-centered teaching, care, and investment from our excellent faculty and staff. He often looks back on his time at LRCA as formative and life changing—an experience that spanned his entire academic career. “It would be difficult for me to single out only one area that most impacted me during my time at LRCA as my education experience was multifaceted. Saying that I was

STEPHEN CARLISLE graduating class of 1997

merely challenged academically, athletically, and spiritually would be an understatement. The curriculum, competitions, and studies held me to high standards, and the teachers and coaches I had over the years were more than simply facilitators. They truly invested themselves into me in a personal way and made their impact on my education lasting and meaningful. They modeled their individual testimonies of their faith to me, and those lessons have made a great impression on me over the years,” he said. It was this influence that stayed with Carlisle even after he graduated from Little Rock Christian. After graduating from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Business Administration, he started a small business with his new wife, Holly. He attributes his collegiate success and growing business to the solid academic and spiritual foundation he received at Little Rock Christian Academy. But his affinity for the school does not simply end with praise and nostalgic memories. When it came time for Carlisle and his wife to decide on a school for their oldest daughter, Abby Anne, they chose to send her to Little Rock Christian Academy. Abby Anne just began her kindergarten year at LRCA in Mrs. Parker’s class. “We spent a lot of time researching and praying over our many education options as we neared the time for Abby Anne to go to kindergarten. Holly has been a teacher for many years, and so together, we place a high priority on academics, but also believe education can and should encompass24 more than

academics alone. Coupled with the academics, the focus that LRCA places on the pursuit of truth and a sound Christ-centered Worldview complete the educational picture we want for our children,” he said. After finding out that Mrs. Chami was the elementary principal, it made their decision to send Abby Anne to LRCA a relatively easy one. Carlisle believes that Mrs. Chami’s role as principal only solidifies LRCA’s commitment to academic and spiritual growth. And while they have to commute in order to send their daughter to LRCA, they feel that the lifetime benefit she will receive by attending LRCA far outweighs the added cost associated with the travel. For the Carlisle family, LRCA is more than just a school, it is an investment in the lives of their children—an investment that they hope will produce eternal returns. LRCA played a major role in Carlisle’s personal salvation testimony, and each teacher along the way made an essential contribution in his spiritual life. Needless to say, this school is close to the Carlisle family’s hearts. “We are Warriors to the core, Carlisle said, “and that extends far beyond the final graduation walk. Walking Worthy is a lifelong commitment. For my children to now be able to take the same steps their father took along the Warrior way is fulfilling for me in so many ways.” Carlisle hopes that his children not only learn in a protected, nurturing environment, but also learn how to swim in the deep end of this world that we live in. And he has every confidence that the Little Rock Christian Academy that poured so much into that little second grader in 1986 will do the exact same thing for his own children.

Dear Warriors: On behalf of the Board of Trust, I want to personally thank you for partnering with us at Little Rock Christian Academy. We believe there is great value in the educational experience our children receive on our campus. I can confirm that the Board seriously takes the role of protecting the mission of the school and continues to pursue improvements in instruction, facilities and culture. It is my hope that by reading this 2011-12 Annual Review, you will recognize our continued efforts to advance in all areas. In the year of rising up and standing firm, we as a school further defined who we are and what we believe. As you visit our campus, the visible signs of progress toward the completion of the Campus Master Plan are everywhere. The arts, athletic programs and educational facilities have all been touched by your continued generosity and commitment to our school. As we look back over this past year, it is evident that God’s provision and guidance have truly blessed Little Rock Christian Academy. Enjoy the Annual Review. In Christ,
