Istand near the west gates and marvel at the comings and goings. Literally, thousands of cars flow in and out of campus every day. I walk across campus and marvel at the movement between buildings. I hear the voices of teens reciting the pledge of allegiance, reading Scripture, and praying over the high school public address system. My feet perk up and move to the sounds of music wafting from the Elementary construction tunnel. I peek into the Learner Services cottages and see two teachers pouring into four students. I shake hands with educators from three Christian schools from Atlanta and Houston visiting our school to learn how to create joy and enthusiasm for learning. I walk the hallways of the House of Love and see evidence of redemptive teaching in every room. I cut through the Indoor and the Arena and feel the pulse of fall sports coming to a crescendo and winter sports beginning to rally. I stop by Warrior Hall to listen to the choir prepare for their Christmas proclamation that the Messiah is born! My eyes scan the campus and see what GOD has done and sense what He will do. How can I not stop in my tracks and give thanks? And, how can I ever stop giving thanks?

Last year our theme was ONE ANOTHER. This year we chose 10,000 REASONS. Cleaving together, we are blessed in 10,000 ways. As the Psalmist sings, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits.” (Psalm 103:2)

Thank you for being a part of His story among us at Little Rock Christian Academy. His school for three generations.

Ilove the song, “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin. In the first verse, there is so much hope. “The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning…let me be singing when the evening comes.” That verse does well to describe the events of this past year at Little Rock Christian Academy. Entering the year with still a bit of caution from the pandemic, we began the 2021-22 school year with record enrollment of 1,564 students and the return to full classroom learning. We thank those who stepped up during uncertain times of the past to assist the school and those families who struggled financially through the pandemic. The fruit of this was record retention of students. In addition to retention, the doors were opened for increased enrollment in the Elementary as we added classrooms and teachers to service the increased demand for early childhood learning. What a good thing for the school to bring in more students at an early age to be Warriors!

With increased demand, it became apparent the infrastructure within the Elementary had to increase to properly service the class sizes. So in 2022, the It’s Time campaign was announced to put a new face on the Elementary and to provide the current students with a cafeteria and learning spaces such as a reading room, STEM, music, and art that had once existed but had to be used to make classroom space to meet demand. The new Elementary construction is scheduled to be complete for the 2023-24 school year. In addition, we continue to make improvements to our campus for the education, safety, and welfare of our students.

Thank you to our donors for making the following additions possible this last year:

• new fresh air handling and purification systems

• new Learner Services space

• controlled access doors, cameras, and walls at school entry points

• increased security personnel, as well as their time on campus

• athletic field improvements

• High School patio area

So as the evening has set on the 2021-22 school year, we can rejoice in the great hope we have in Christ and be thankful for the great blessings our God has poured out upon Little Rock Christian Academy. Our cup truly runs over.

WHAT’S YOUR “WHY”?

It is always such a blessing to hear from members of the Warriorville community…students, families, faculty, staff, and more. Here, several Board of Trust members share some of their Warrior stories and why they feel a Little Rock Christian education is so beneficial and worth the investment. What’s your “why”?

We saw Little Rock Christian Academy as an investment in our children’s education and faith. They emerged prepared for college and for life with a strong biblical worldview, and that’s the real partnership value proposition of our school for parents.

Being able to spend 13 years with a group of families on the same beautiful campus with each of our children provided continuity and comfort. We loved how the Christian community came together for so many events from football games to musical performances.

Why LRCA? Simply put, it’s our community. Iron sharpens iron. It’s the teachers and staf in the House of Love, Joy, and Enthusiasm that equip our students to leave the House of Warriors prepared to be leaders in this world for the glory of God.

Little Rock Christian has been a special place for my children to be educated from a biblical worldview. It is now with great joy that my grandchildren are beginning to start their time at LRCA. The mission at LRCA is more important than ever as the voices in our world continue to challenge truth. My family believes our investments in LRCA are a top priority and we could not be more grateful for the impact the school has had on our family and community.

I have been asked many times why I continue to be involved in LRCA since my own children are long-gone from my home. The obvious answer is that LRCA is simply the very best place in Central Arkansas for children to receive the highest level of excellent education with a Christ-centered worldview. There is no more important ministry than the discipling of the children of our Christian community.

We have two LRCA graduates, and this community has been a blessing to our whole family. The home, church, and school partnership model is key for us, knowing that the teachers and administrators helped build a strong foundation of Biblical Truth in the hearts and minds of our kids. This foundation prepares LRCA graduates to think soundly, know their identity, and love and serve others in a counter-cultural way.

But my personal reason is to give younger families the opportunity that our family received. My son liked his school alright, but was very unhappy with our church's youth program and frankly, we agreed with him. Little Rock Christian Academy was already here, organized, and funded by those who had gone before us. He enrolled in LRCA and had a wonderful experience, both academically and spiritually. Today his faith is strong.

Thank you for the opportunity to ofer our "why" for LRCA! Now, more than ever, we value the education at LRCA for giving our children a foundation of truth and establishing a biblical worldview as a lens through which they will approach all aspects of learning and life.

The literal truth is, we chose LRCA in hopes that our children will develop Christian friendships versus being pressured to make poor choices to be accepted. The latter more closely describes our own high school experiences. I love the fact that they are being taught by a faculty who loves the Lord.

Where do kids spend most of their day?….at school. Who is inluencing those kids during that time?…teachers, coaches, staf, and school leaders. For our four children while they were there and grandchildren in the future, what a blessing to know that the One inluencing our “inluencers” is Jesus Christ. It is a critical counterbalance to the inluence of our modern culture.

In its seventh year, Warrior Blitz 2021 exceeded all expectations by surpassing the $150,000 fundraising goal to reach the flabbergasting actuality of $219,504.20. In the year of “one-anothering”, Blitz proved to truly be a total Warriorville team effort...One School - 100%. Acts of kindness and service also permeated the week’s festivities in an effort to further LRCA’s mission.
