WHAT IS A STYLE GUIDE? The Little Rock Christian Academy Style Guide is designed to serve as a tool to present a positive and consistent image of Little Rock Christian Academy to the LRCA community and the general public. All LRCA communications should abide by the information provided in this guide. The enforcement of these standards is the responsibility of the Marketing/Communications Office. These standards are provided to ensure that all publications carrying the Little Rock Christian name and logo(s) make a positive contribution to the image of the school. The brand identity of LRCA should be displayed with excellence in all printed or digital applications and be clearly communicated within all areas of the school.
All publications produced through Little Rock Christian Academy should: 1. Meet the high design and editorial standards expected of a collegiate educational institution 2. Properly reflect the character of the institution 3. Contain information that does not conflict with the LRCA policy and mission 4. Undergo review by the Marketing/Communications Office
SECTION 1: Standards Implementation The Marketing/Communications Office coordinates graphic design, editing, writing, and photography needs for LRCA and is responsible for standardizing the school’s advertising and marketing efforts. All printed materials PRIOR to production and distribution must be approved by the Marketing/Communications Office. Please refer to the following lists to see which pieces require approval and which do not. If you have a question, please contact the office for clarification.

SECTION 2: Marketing Standards Photography: Parents and/or guardians of students grant content and release use of a student’s photo in any school publication, advertisement, marketing initiative, and website by accepting admission into LRCA. Parents not wishing to have their student’s image used must notify the Marketing/Communications Office in writing. Photographs printed in LRCA publications must be sharply focused (300 dpi) and well composed. Care should be taken to ensure any photos used be of current enrollees or alumni in good standing. Stationery, business cards, and name tags: All offices and departments should use the LRCA letterhead and envelopes provided through the Business Office located in the Welcome Center. Business card and name tag requests should be placed through the Marketing/Communications Office. Website: All materials and information to be posted on the site must be approved and filtered through the Marketing/ Communications Office. Use of Logos and Branding: School logos and branding are approved for print of digital communications only. Logos are copywrighted and cannot be used for apparel, accessories, etc. for personal use or for sale to others.
Typography: Our official typeface is Garamond Premier Pro in small caps. Our secondary font is Avenir for a san serif font.

GARAMOND PRERMIER PRO Formal font used for Commencement and logo
The approved font for all LRCA correspondence is Verdana. This includes email communication with parents faculty and staff. Additional approved font for web and print is Open Sans.
SECTION 3: School Identity Consistency in our implementation is key to establishing a clear, broadly recognizable brand. All approved logo files have been created for use in communications and advertising. On the next page are all the approved LRCA logos. Our approved standard text fonts are Garamond Premier Pro, Open Sans and Open Sans Condensed. Our official colors are PMS 282 Blue and PMS 342 Green. Please ask the Marketing/Communications Office for assistance if you have any other logo needs or questions. Additional approved colors available for web or print:
SECTION 4: School Name, Mission and Core Values Name: The correct way to refer to the name of the school is: Little Rock Christian Academy, LRCA, or LR Christian (for athletic purposes). The building/facility titles are spelled out and referred to as follows: Building #1: Indoor Athletic Facility Building #2: Elementary Gym Building #3: Elementary or EL Building #4: High School Gym Building #5: Middle School or MS Building #6: Junior High or JH Building #7: Warrior Hall Building #8: Warrior Arena Building #9: High School or HS Building #10: Wee Warriors Building #11: Wee Warriors II Building #12: Welcome Center Mission Statement: To serve families, churches and the community by providing a PK-12th grade education, characterized by excellence in the pursuit of truth from a Christ-centered worldview.

SECTION 5: Official School Seal Little Rock Christian Academy has an official school seal which is to be used by the Head of School and Board of Trustees on certain high-status and ceremonial documents. Any outside use of Head of School and Board of Trust must be approved in writing. SEAL: The seal includes an image of the cross and banner, our official school logo, representing every family, student, and faculty member. The W represents our Christ-centered, character based, committed and competitive athletic program. An open Bible symbolizes our Christian education and Biblical Worldview. The fine arts logo embodies the broad fine arts department. Wrapped around the symbolic icons of who we are and what we do are our core values of Truth, Excellence, Love and Partnership. The seal depicts the year of LRCA’s founding (1977) with the name of the institution inscribed around the border. The Latin motto Gratia et Veritas translated means grace and truth. Little Rock Christian Academy provides a college distinctive preparatory education wrapped in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.

SECTION 6: Email Body of Email: When corresponding through LRCA email, the preferred font is Verdana. The font size should be 10-12 point for the body and 14-16 point size for titles. Keep in mind “when you make everything bold nothing is bold.” Signature: All employees will be provided with a logo to be used with their signature. Signature lines need to include first and last name along with title.
