HUMANS OF TEXASOKLAHOMA

At the end of every school year, I always reflect on the year and the memories that I made. One thing that stood out the most to me this year was Key Club, and for the most part it was the highlight of my Sophomore year. Entering as a sophomore, I didn't know how much I could change over the summer. With entering the District Board feeling frightened, I had no idea what would be in store as I would have to manage Key Club, school life, and other clubs. Although my stress was piling up rapidly, I knew that at the time that the club that had nothing to do with keys would be my outlet. It definitely was. Having many people to talk to on the board was so much fun as I was able to feel comfortable talking about anything. There was a wide variety of people that I could go to for guidance. Though, it was not easy to ask for help in the beginning. I often try not to confide in other people for fear of being judged or looked down upon. However, my views on that topic changed as time went on. I did not really see how much Key Club impacted me until I looked back on LEDCON 2022. Remembering the last night, we all opened up to each other and talked about our troubles. That was when it hit me hundreds of days past that very moment, my eyes opened to how much Key Club had helped me. Not only was it an outlet for b where I met lifelong friends, people that I consider m From the people that I met and the memories th express my love for this organization. It is strange to school year fully focused on academics. I promised m would not let anything distract me from “the most im thing in my life”. However, Key Club changed that for As I started to meet more people and listen to their experiences, I became more lenient toward myself. In all, as my sophomore year came to an end, I am so glad that Key Club was a part of me. I know that th all may sound extremely dramatic, but everything I said was true. As I prepare to enter my junior year, I cannot wait to continue my journey and strive to serve those around me.
