Jigsaw Puzzle Tables Let's talk about jigsaw puzzle tables. The ones like your kitchen table or coffee table or for some, even the floor. Of course your table for doing a jigsaw puzzle is going to be your 2nd most important workspace for assembling puzzles, with lighting being the first. Over the years since I've been doing jigsaw puzzles I've discovered that there are many different overall sizes of jigsaw puzzles. Hence, a BIG table was required, like 6 feet by 3 feet BIG! So how are we going to combat this life threatening situation a piece of furniture presents? Search ‘furniture risers’ as they are becoming quite common among puzzlers who spend many hours doing jigsaw puzzles. Some even have height adjustments. I happen to use them myself on my puzzle table but they can also be used on a coffee table or other furniture if need be...not much help for the Puzzler who is using the floor though. I like lots of space when doing puzzles so I have an extra large table on leg risers (as mentioned above). I tend to sort all my puzzle pieces onto 20” x 30” foam boards so I can see every piece. Often the puzzle I am assembling is approximately 20” x 30” so my puzzle is assembled on one board. My foam boards with the laid out pieces, (usually 2 boards on a 1000 piece puzzle) are stacked to my left of my puzzle-space. I do stand while puzzling for the most part however I do have enough height under my table to use a stationary digital pedal exerciser while sitting on a high stool. I tend to use it once a day, which means I get to do my fun puzzling while getting physical exercise too.
