DIGITAL MEDIA STUDIOS
In the Southeast, our loyalties run deep. LS3P has directly relevant experience in the design of digital media studio spaces for educational institutions and commercial production studios. Our experience includes production studios for both industry and instructional use. These studios include cycloramas, flexible seating areas and large control rooms where students and professors can create, interact, present, and modify digital media to customize the learning experience. Our work has also included the design of related spaces, such as Foley Studios, Finishing Suites, Digital Editing, Motion Capture Studios and Post-Production Spaces.
SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN ATLANTA DIGITAL MEDIA CENTER RENOVATION ATLANTA, GA The three-story, 60,000-square-foot facility, formerly the home of the Atlanta NBC television affiliate WXIA, offers industry-standard learning resources such as multi-camera sound stages with high-definition broadcast capability, a foley studio, professional sound recording and mixing suites, editing rooms, a screening room, nearly two dozen classrooms, and set and prop fabrication studios. The center houses academic majors within the School of Film, Digital Media and Performing Arts, including animation, interactive design and game development, motion media design, visual effects, television production.

FOLEY STUDIO
ELON UNIVERSITY JOURNALISM & MASS COMMUNICATIONS BUILDING ELON, NC The design team of Robert A.M. Stern Architects and LS3P was selected to design the new Journalism and Mass Communication Building for Elon University’s School of Communication. The classroom building is a 50,000 square foot new facility to house video studios, edit suites, Serious Gaming Studio, movie theater, converged student media center, media-rich classrooms, study spaces, conference rooms, and faculty offices. Sited along the edge of the Graduation Green, this gateway building forms an edge of campus, and responds to the existing architecture, identity, and green spaces that define Elon. The new facility includes a connection to the existing McEwen Building that houses the School of Communication. This project is LEEDŽ Silver Certified
CLEMSON UNIVERSITY BROADCAST STUDIO RENOVATION CLEMSON, SC This renovation project for a TV and radio production studio is located in the Madren Conference Center on the Clemson University campus. The 2,500 SF design provided 2 TV & radio production studios with fully isolated walls, ceilings, and floors; a fully equipped control room with light dimming capabilities; a furnished client viewing room, 4 individual editing suites, and a common work area. Additional work included a new HVAC system, lighting, and technical systems infrastructure.
RAYCOM MEDIA WBTV NEWSROOM CHARLOTTE, NC Raycom Media is a production, distribution and event management company and one of the largest independent and sports syndicators in the nation. LS3P was asked to provide design services to renovate the existing flagship television station, a local CBS affiliate. Services included spatial programming for the news room and production area, preliminary space plans for public areas and support location, FF&E selection and A/V, Lighting and Acoustical Design. The studios were designed to also serve as a backdrop for live breaking news. The 6,000 SF WBTV newsroom occupies the basement level of the facility. Design included the introduction of more natural light and transformation of the space into a creative office environment. LS3P added a new assignment desk, private offices, an open office area, conference rooms, edit and audio bays, new MEP/FP, AVL and interior finishes. A 1,300Â SF renovation of the Sports Production Studio added a new TV studio, open office area, 3 new edit bays and restroom facilities. The studio also required new MEP/FP, AVL and interior finishes.
