ACADEMICS National Merit Scholarship Corporation • 13 National Merit Semifinalists • 14 National Merit Commended Students Class of 2012 • 100% of the Class of 2012 (all 246 young men) will be continuing formal education at 91 colleges and universities in 23 different states and two international universities • accepted into 204 colleges and universities in 34 states and two international universities • 80% earned merit-based and/or athletic scholarships, which totaled over $29.3 million
National Honor Society • 220 members (minimum GPA of 3.50) Advanced Placement Exams • 117 AP Scholars • 15 National AP Scholars • 300 students took 615 AP exams • 90% scored 3 or better (recommended grade for college credit) Top 50 Colleges/Universities • 51% of the Class of 2012 was accepted to one of the Top 50 National Universities and Liberal Arts Colleges as designated by U.S. News and World Report
Athletics National Champions • 200 yard Freestyle Relay Team swam the fastest time in America (1.22.91) and was crowned as National Champions Pennsylvania State Champions • Baseball, Hockey, and Swimming Philadelphia Catholic League Champions • Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Wrestling, Soccer, Swimming, and Tennis PIAA District 12 (City) Champions • Baseball, Football, Lacrosse, Wrestling, Soccer, Swimming, and Tennis, and Track and Field
Flyers Cup Hockey Champions Second in the Pennsylvania State Championship in Lacrosse High School All-Americans • 12 students were named as High School All-Americans • 27 All-American Athletic Certifications achieved in five different sports All-Catholic Recognition • 75 First Team All-Catholics • 52 Second Team All-Catholics • 25 Honorable Mention All-Catholics
