ROBOTICS AT LA SALLE La Salle Robotics is proud to offer two freshmen-only robotics teams that allow ninth graders to build robots in a friendly team environment after school. The freshmen teams build small, mobile robots that perform various tasks during competitions against local schools, and even have the opportunity to advance to regional and national events. Upperclassmen design, build, and program an industrial grade competition robot and have the opportunity to manage a budget of over $50,000 as well as allocate time and money to various service initiatives run uniquely by the robotics team.

ROBOTICS TEAMS Our program is structured by students, for students. We understand that an extracurricular activity should be engaging, interesting, and fun; our several teams at La Salle College High School are designed to ensure everyone will have a rewarding experience. Keep in mind, no experience is necessary!

WHY ROBOTICS? While having experience in a cuttingedge robotics program on your college resume is appealing, there is even more to like when it comes to the expanding career opportunities within the technology sector over the next ten years. There will be an annual growth rate of between 15 to 20% in robotics revenue by 2028 (Robotics Tomorrow) 88% of businesses worldwide plan to adopt robotic automation into their infrastructure (McKinsey)

“What FIRST® Robotics does is help inspire students to pursue careers in engineering, science, and technology; to endow them with the time-management and prioritization skills that will make them successful competitors in any field; and to develop in them the collaborative spirit that will make them a success in any interpersonal endeavor. These characteristics are shared by many great students, and thus many great MIT applicants, and so the subset of students who participate in robotics and those who enroll at MIT intersect comparatively often.”
