IN THE EVER CHANGING WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY, A DYNAMIC APPROACH TO TEACHING TECH IS PARAMOUNT. In this spirit, each information technology staff member at La Salle is also a teacher bringing real-world applications to the classroom. Students are given the opportunity to earn industry certifications while gaining hands-on experience collaborating in the school’s live-production environments of networking, programming and design. La Salle has the distinction of being one of the only schools in the State of Pennsylvania to have met the stringent staffing and equipment qualifications to be designated as both an advanced level Microsoft IT Academy and a Certiport Authorized Testing Center. Instructors are certified by Adobe, Autodesk, and Microsoft to teach and certify on official curriculum.

STEAM
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Collaboration and opportunity mark La Salle’s extensive STEAM program. All ninth graders begin with thorough practical and ethical training for their digital tablet devices and collaborate in La Salle’s Exploratorium within core STEAM disciplines: programming to digital research to three-dimensional visualizations. From this common base, students venture into 40 elective choices, including a nationally recognized Microsoft IT program, advanced programming, digital design, engineering, music business and technology, multi-media production, forensic science, and AP offerings in biology, chemistry, three levels of physics, and environmental science. Co-curriculars include a nationally recognized lab managers program, competition at three levels of robotics, and community and scholarly opportunities to present research and projects. Instructors are certified by Adobe, Autodesk, and Microsoft to teach and certify on official curriculum. Understanding that technology is not a “one size fits all” model, each member of the class of 2022 is participating in our “device of choice program.” Students are provided an email account, cloud storage, and a copy of Microsoft Office. Digital design students will be provided with a copy of the necessary Adobe software via Adobe Creative Cloud.

BROTHERHOOD IS A BOND FORGED IN SHARED EXPERIENCE AND STRENGTHENED BY TIME. The greatest friendships do not just stand the test of time: they grow with it. Attending La Salle College High School means joining a brotherhood whose connections will remain with you for life. A strong, close-knit community offers support and camaraderie within and beyond campus life, providing an invaluable network of like-minded individuals wherever your personal, academic and professional 24
paths lead.
La Salle College High School is a community whose students are taught to make use of their freedom and overcome prejudices, ready-made ideas, and social pressures. La Salle students are encouraged to listen, seek, understand, trust, love, respect, and contemplate – all in an attempt to develop in the image of God. The “Boys will be Boys, but La Salle Boys will be Gentlemen sign is found in every classroom and instructional space at La Salle College High School. The timeless statement serves as a constant reminder to our young men that they have a greater calling to act and behave as gentlemen while adhering to the Lasallian values of integrity, compassion, and respect.

community that is grounded in core Catholic values. La Salle students are called to develop into Men of Intellect and Accomplishment, Men of Faith and Compassion, Men of Service and Justice, and Men of Integrity and Respect. When a young man receives his diploma, he is getting more than a piece of paper. He receives validation that he is not only an accomplished student, but also a man who can be trusted and counted on to speak out and act when others are unable, unwilling, or afraid to do so. He is a Man of Character.

THE OFFICE OF LASALLIAN MISSION AND MINISTRY SEEKS TO BUILD A LIVING FAITH COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCES AND SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOTH STUDENTS AND FACULTY. Liturgical programs are celebrated at significant times throughout the year. A yearly retreat program is organized and conducted by the Office of Lasallian Mission and Ministry and assisted by many faculty members and student leaders. Rooted in the spiritual and educational vision of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, La Salle empowers students to serve those in need. During the summer of 2018, over 300 rising juniors and seniors – representing almost 60% of the school’s upperclassmen – participated in one of sixteen voluntary SUMMER SERVICE PROJECTS located in nine states and four countries.
