COPPER BEECHES is set in established grounds with mature tree boundaries in Peppard Com-

mon, a delightful village on the Chiltern Hills, within 5 miles drive of Henley on Thames, famed for its annual Royal Regatta, Festival of Music and the Arts and Literary Festival. Henley is a bustling market town, with numerous eateries, coffee shops pubs and restaurants, and a busy Waitrose. Reading is within 6 miles, and includes all major retailers, including John Lewis. At Copper Beeches village life is to the fore. The cricket ground is located beyond the rear boundary and The Unicorn, a typical Chilterns Gastro Pub is within easy walking distance. For the commuter, or teenagers, there is even a bus stop at the pub, reaching Reading Station within 25 minutes, with onward regular train services to London Paddington in under half an hour. Excellent state and private schooling are close at hand, from the traditional Peppard Primary School on the common, half a mile away, to a choice of state secondaries, and an excellent range of fee-paying schools such as Moulsford Prep, The Oratory, Cranford House Queen Annes and Bluecoat.

The area is a haven for horse-riders’, cyclists and walkers, who can travel many miles without crossing major roads, and Henley-on-Thames hosts two golf clubs, and active rugby and cricket club, with tennis and cricket also at nearby Peppard.
