Rolling Hills Skate Nearly Ready for ACTION Paula and Zach Hill have always been interested in owning a business and family is very important to them. Having four children of their own, the Hill’s set out to bring a family friendly activity to this area. When the opportunity arose to acquire Sam’s Skating Club in Sidney, they took it. Opening this spring, Rolling Hills Skate will offer recreational skating for individuals and group outings alike. Rolling Hills will provide a place where kids can be active and will offer an environment where parents can be assured their children are safe. Many hours and significant work have gone into renovating the skate club. When the Hill’s bought the rink, there was significant water damage to the maple wood flooring. They have successfully restored this floor to like-new condition. The walls and furnishings have been cleaned and covered with a fresh coat of paint. The restrooms, snack bar, and front desk area have all been completely refurbished. All 480 pair of skates have been cleaned, disinfected, and outfitted with new laces and insoles. According to Paula Hill, “Our goal is to build strong, long-term relationships in the community with civic, church, and school groups. We are thrilled to bring Rolling Hills Skate to Shelby County. Our slogan is straightforward and simple – to provide a safe, clean, wholesome environment – THAT’S HOW WE ROLL!”
