In mid-August Buffalo Wild Wings reopened after completing an eight day, one half million dollar renovation to its Sidney restaurant. According to owner Tom Mayl, the well-known B-Dubs chain is undertaking a nationwide initiative known as Gen 4 to significantly enhance the atmosphere, electronics, and furnishings of their restaurants. The Sidney location was updated with 23 new television monitors, an expanded patio, new tables, chairs, and bar, additional seating for 100 guests, and a private meeting room. Walls and flooring throughout the restaurant received a face lift along with the installation of new fixtures in the restrooms. New eye catching signage has been installed at the front entrance with new street side signage to be added soon. Several staff additions accompanied the interior and exterior renovations. Mayl credits Director of Operations Kelly Gressett, General Manager Barb Greer and the entire Sidney based team for making Buffalo Wild Wings a local favorite for great food, refreshing drinks, and a best in class customer experience.
Trupointe Constructs New Grain Bin in Sidney Trupointe Cooperative, Inc. is a regional memberowned and controlled co-op headquartered in Piqua, Ohio. Trupointe serves 50 locations throughout 29 counties in Northeast Indiana and West Central Ohio with more than 500 employees. The Trupointe board is comprised of ten farmer members who represent the counties they serve. In 2008, the leadership of Southwest Landmark and Advanced Agri-Solutions Co-Op, two Western Ohio cooperatives, began talks to consolidate into one. On February 8, 2010 Southwest Landmark and Advanced Agri-Solutions Co-op members voted to become Trupointe Cooperative, Inc. The cooperative began official operations as Trupointe on September 1, 2010. After acquiring the former ADM facility on Vandemark Road, Sidney, Trupointe broke ground March 5, 2012 for a new 730,000 bushel bin at the grain facility. This bin will significantly increase their storage capacity and allow them to better serve customers. The project represents a $2 million investment at the Sidney site and will create 5 new jobs. “We are excited to see progress on this project
and are anxiously waiting for the chance to put the new asset into operation,” said Randy Broady, Director of Grain Operations. The project is slated to be completed at the beginning of September, as long as weather conditions continue to be favorable. The Sidney location will be in operation for wheat harvest.
