A delicadeza do abandono

A temática que norteou a elaboração dos nossos trabalhos na Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo para a PQ15 foi a delicadeza do abandono. Abandono dos espaços público, privado, figurativo cultivado em cada um de nós, que é quando o abandono atinge seu auge e também limite: o autoabandono. A partir daí, encontrar a delicadeza, a beleza nem sempre aparente ou formatada, os detalhes mais significativos, e então fazer propostas para reconstrução ou expurgo de todas essas esferas.

The delicacy of the abandonment

The theme that guided the elaboration of our works in the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo for the PQ15 was delicacy and abandonment. Abandonment of the public, private spaces, cultivated figurative in each one of us, which is when abandonment reaches its height and limit: the self-abandonment. From there on, find the delicacy, the beauty that is not always apparent or formed, the most significant details, and thus make proposals to reconstruction or purge of all these spheres.

Este projeto insere bonecos na casa dos espectadores, criando diferentes situações, e propõe uma relação direta entre público e bonecos. A ação teatral prevê duração de trinta dias, iniciada e encerrada com três episódios especiais compartilhados. Trabalho inspirado em As Viagens de Gulliver, Volta ao Mundo em Oitenta Dias e nas novenas católicas.

This Project inserts puppets in the house of the spectators, creating different situations, proposing a direct relation between audience and puppets. The theatrical action predicts duration of thirty days, started and finished with three special shared episodes. This is a work inspired in Gulliver’s Travels, Around the World in Eighty Days and the catholic novenas.

Reflexos busca representação pessoal pelo bordado, técnica ligada à oralidade, à transmissão de conhecimento e ao feminino. Fundado na questão da memória e do conhecimento partilhado que o bordado carrega, o projeto propõe um espaço colaborativo de representação de si. Todos são convidados a bordar seu retrato.

Reflexes searches for personal representation by needlework, a technique connected to orality, to the transmission of shared knowledge carried out by the needlework, proposing a collaborative space of representation of the inner self. Everyone is invited to embroider his or her portrait.

A arte tem o poder de capturar imagens e desvendar os pensamentos dos artistas. A série mostra os segredos que guardamos em nossa vida: Durante minha infância, fiquei um período calada, carregava uma a mordaça cotidiana, não podia falar, não tinha pessoas para me ouvir. Hoje, observo o corpo e sua presença na vida cotidiana, levando em conta suas mazelas e seus problemas.

Art has the power of capturing images and unveils the artists’ thoughts. The series shows the secret that we keep in our life: during my childhood, I was silent for a period, carried an everyday gag, I could not speak, there were no one to hear me. Today, I observe the body and its presence in the everyday life, considering its ills and problems.
