Message From The Chairman It’s been my privilege to serve as your Chairman in 2010. We’ve had another fantastic year, and not only are we one of the most accomplished chambers in the nation, we have the best members in the nation who support us unconditionally. We hope you have had the opportunity to take advantage of the numerous member benefits the Chamber has to offer. From our award-winning Chamber Employer Health Plan to our newly launched website devoted to all things agriculture, the Chamber truly does have something for everyone. I am especially proud of the stability of our business community. You continue to withstand tough economic times and emerge as shining stars in commerce. Message From The President/CEO Thank you for your investment in the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, one of only 1% of chambers nationwide holding a 5-Star Accreditation designation from the United States Chamber of Commerce. Because of your support, we are able to continue providing premier programs, products and services. Whether we’re advocating for you at the local, state or national levels, conducting world-class events like our Business Expo or Hub City BBQ Cook-off, or providing leadership opportunities through not only our leadership programs but our committees as well, we are proud to work for you each and every day. We work to uphold our mission through the dedication of our Board leadership and involvement, but they are only one group out of hundreds of volunteers who keep our organization focused on moving forward. We thank you again for your membership and look forward to continuing to serve you and your business throughout 2011 and beyond. Sincerely,
Eddie McBride Strengthening, promoting and serving our member businesses since 1913

Chamber
on the
Move
In May 2010, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce relocated offices to the east wing of the first floor of the Wells Fargo Center, located at 1500 Broadway. Chairman Joe Rapier noted that the move allows the Chamber to maintain their presence in downtown Lubbock while providing a more professional work environment for staff and volunteers, more customer parking and better direct support to members. The move put the Chamber back in the same building as the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, Visit Lubbock and the Lubbock Sports Authority to maximize support for Lubbock’s growth and development. A volunteer task force, led by former chairman Steve Verett, worked for months to plan the relocation effort. The Chamber held a reception in July to celebrate the move.
