This courtyard also provides a summary of Tocra’sdiverselandscape-Terracota lands, Petrified sandstone and the Mediterranean. Additionally, it is centered by a multi-use arena designed for flexibility and diversity, allowing activities such as hologram shows, live enactments, temporary exhibits and display of large artefacts.

PROJECT BRIEF

Themainaimoftheprojectwastorevitalize the port of Benghazi and activate it for passengers use, which required the design of a maritime terminal, while taking into consideration the proper structure to be used, as well as designing an aesthetically pleasing mass to represent the por t entrance to the city of Benghazi.

32
33

The site provides high accessibility for different transportation methods - es pecially public transportation, as well as a safe pedestrain circulation. The plans demanded including assigned areas for both international and local passengers, while taking into account the other amenities they might need

without compromising the security of the terminal. A huge attention was given to natural light as can be per cieved in the majorly glazed facades and the roof shaping.

34
35

A great deal of attention was paid to the structure, ventilation, lighting, and sanitary services of the building. The sections above demonstrate th structural details studied and impleentedin the

building. The sections also demonstarte the skylight imbedded in the mass that plays a major rol in lighting this huge space naturally, in addition to creating a playful interior with the light it provides.

PROJECT BRIEF

This vacation house was the first professional project I work on, it was for a family that enjoys gathering on a regualr basis for liesure and relaxation. The design was set to be built in 2 phases due to both financial and social factors. The first phase included the general functions of a vacation home, while the

second phase included a guestroom with a toilet, upgrading this vacation home into a potential small villa for the grandparents. Relaxation and openness to the outdoors were important design aspects, it can be interpreted in the plans as great attention is paid to the living space that overlooks

the garden and swimming pool. More importantly, the living space can be extended to the terrace when opening the sliding door. Thus connecting it to the outdoor dining and built in BBQ area.
