PROJECT BRIEF Al-Jumhuriyah hospital is a project designed to provide a hospital specialized for matenity treatment. It is designed as a replacement for the previous hospital that was located in the site. However, on the contrar y to the previous one, the new design aims to provide a healthier and more home-like environment for its patients. Accordingly, the project utilises many strategies of future hospitals.

26
PROJECT BRIEF The main aim of the project was to revitalize the por t of Benghazi and activate it for passengers use, which required the design of a maritime terminal, while taking into consideration the proper structure to be used, as well as designing an aesthetically pleasing mass to represent the por t entrance to the city of Benghazi.
27
28
The site provides high accessibility for dif ferent transportation methods - especially public transpor tation, as well as a safe pedestrain circulation.
29
The plans demanded including assigned areas for both international and local passengers, while taking into account the other amenities they might need without compromising
the security of the terminal. A huge attention was given to natural light as can be percieved in the majorly glazed facades and the roof shaping.

PROJECT BRIEF This vacation house was the first professional project I work on, it was for a family that enjoys gathering on a regualr basis for liesure and relaxation.
Relaxation and openness to the outdoors were impor tant design aspects, it can be
interpreted in the plans as great attention is paid to the living space that overlooks the garden and swimming pool. More impor tantly, the living space can be extended to the terrace when opening the sliding door. Thus connecting it to the outdoor dining and built in BBQ area.
STREET
The design was set to be built in 2 phases due to both financial and social factors. The first phase included the gen-
eral functions of a vacation home, while the second phase included a guestroom with a toilet, upgrading this vacation home into a potential small villa for the grandparents.

Due to the clients budget, the apar tments elevations cladding was minimal. In addition, paint colours were mainly ear thtones in order to minimize the need for outdoor repaint. Upon clients request, the facades were also a hybrid of classic and modern architecture elements. On the other hand, the garages and of fices elevations were minimal and modular. However, they were more generous in material cladding, using a combination of Travertine and wood. 43
44
Additionally, this project included visualization of the interior spaces of the apar tments to give better understanding of the spaces.
