rom two seasons on the CMT hit show Still the King to a blockbuster big-screen role in the Dwayne Johnson-starrer Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Madison Iseman’s beauty and acting abilities have been on full display on both the big and small screens for some time now. Born in South Carolina, it wasn’t long before the West Coast came a’calling, and a flurry of head-turning roles on hit TV shows like Modern Family, Henry Danger, and The Real O’Neals quickly put her on the path to even bigger and better things in the form of a regular role alongside multimedia heavyweight Billy Ray Cyrus on Still The King. Amazingly, this 20-year old dynamo’s feet remain firmly planted on the ground, even as her career continues to skyrocket. We chatted with her about rubbing elbows with A-listers, teaching Jack Black how to be a teenaged girl, and staying true to her values when life gets crazy.

6 Luca: Let’s break the ice, Madison. What’s your favorite holiday? Madison: Valentine’s Day! It’s not only the holiday of love, but it’s also my birthday, so it’s lots of fun. Of course, it also has potential to be the worst holiday, though. Sometimes if my friends all have boyfriends and I’m single, then they all want to go hang out with their boyfriends and not hang out with me on my birthday. So sometimes it can be bad. Luca: As someone who is devoted to staying healthy, what’s your workout routine? Madison: It’s kind of all over the place because when I’m working, I just do what I can when I have the time. It’s my physical and mental release, so I need it in my life, but whenever I’m off, I’m at the gym every day. I do a lot of weight lifting. I don’t do a bunch of cardio. So I’m really into the heavy weight thing right now. Luca:You are quite the pet lover, aren’t you? Madison: I really am. I am in love with my cat…he is the love of my life. He’s my son. His name is Owen. He got his name because I wanted to name my very first son Owen, and he came first so he got the name first. He’s just my little precious ball of energy. When I travel and go to Nashville, I bring him with me, so he’s my little companion.
entertainment
Luca: Does Owen make appearances when you are on set? Madison: No, if I do bring him, he usually stays at home. I don’t think he’d do well on set. He’d be kind of freaked out. He’d be like, “This is way too many people here.” He’s meowing at me as we speak. Luca: Many people have gotten to know you from watching you on two seasons of CMT’s comedy series, Still the King, alongside Billy Ray Cyrus. What was it like working with such a veteran of the entertainment world? Madison: He is one of the most interesting, amazing people I have honestly ever met in my entire life. I’ve learned so much from working with the guy. Still the King was my very first series regular. It was the very first time I’ve been on a show for more than three consecutive episodes. So he was just a dream to work with. He’s so nice, so friendly, was willing to help out with anything, just cared so much about the work, which was a breath of fresh air because sometimes people can just get comfortable, you know? And he was always wanting to make the best product and have the best performance. Plus, he’s so funny. You wouldn’t really picture Billy Ray as the funny guy, but his sense of humor is absolutely amazing. He’s such a cool dude and he’s kind of a legend, you know? Like, he was a legend in my parents’ time, and then for us, we had Hannah Montana, so I mean, everyone knows Billy Ray Cyrus.
Luca: On the big screen, the world has gotten to know you from your recent role in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, a blockbuster that allowed you to share the spotlight with megastars like Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart. How impactful was that experience for you? Madison: I still have a hard time processing it. It was just so fast and surreal, you know what I mean? It just never really hit me. It was a quick audition process, and it was such a big project, so I was like, “Oh, I’ll go in for this, but I probably won’t get it.” And the first time I went in, my agent called me and said, “Oh my God, they loved you. They want to bring you back to the producers,” and I was like, “Oh, okay, cool.” So I went back, still thinking “Oh, you can’t get it.” I literally went in twice, and then I got it, and it just never really totally hit me. They flew us out to Hawaii at the very beginning of production for table reads. I had never been to Hawaii before, and that alone was awesome. Then we walked into the table reads, and I sat in between Jack Black and The Rock, and it was just weird, you know? When in your life are you ever gonna sit next to Jack Black and The Rock? Luca: In Jumanji, you play a snobby prom queen-type named Bethany. What qualities were you able to relate to in that type of character? Madison: Her insecurities. Even though she is this stereotypical idea of a popular, pretty teen girl in high school, she’s got the same insecurities that I feel all the time and every day, and I think a lot of people do. It’s just covered up by her being obsessed with her cell phone and herself. Luca: For those who still haven’t seen the movie, Bethany’s personality ends up inhabiting a video game avatar in the form of Jack Black, so in a way, he’s playing you. What was that process like? Madison: Well, it was very collaborative because he had his opinions on the character, so we had to find the common ground of who Bethany was because we both had to be on the same page, or else it’s not the same girl. It was one of the most interesting work sessions I’ve ever had, especially working with an older man, who’s playing a young girl. He was very interested, too, because he is an older man, he was like, “What kind of movies do you guys watch? What kind of songs do you listen to?” It was very cool. Luca: Speaking of the notion of personalities rubbing off on each other, the work ethic of Dwayne Johnson has become the stuff of Hollywood legend. Is that something that you witnessed firsthand and felt motivated by? Madison: Completely, but even though he’s the downto-business guy in the workplace, he’s still the fun guy in the workplace. Everyone was feeling good, everyone was happy, but everyone was also down-to-business and ready to work, if that makes sense. So that’s definitely what the whole atmosphere was like.

8 Luca: Your career is still so young, but what’s been your favorite role so far? Madison: That’s a tough question. It’s probably Charlotte from “Still the King”. She’s just a cool chick. Every time I think about days on set, I just have the best memories, and it was just such a good time. I think the whole entire project and the people I was with and the characters we played, all of that together makes playing Charlotte my best experience. After playing her for two years, I feel I am her and I connected with her and I love her. Luca: Does anyone make your heart skip a beat? Madison: Definitely, I have a significant other who I’m very fond of. His name is Spencer Sutherland. He’s a cutie (laughs).
entertainment
Luca: Is there a particular charity or cause that you are involved with or learning about? Madison: I try to stay involved as much as I possibly can, especially with things that are super-current, like everything that was happening with Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. One of the charities I’ve worked with since I was 15 is a smaller charity called Start With One – Kenya. I have actually traveled with them out to Africa. Before I even moved to LA, I was in South Carolina and I went with my church, and they’re just a great organization. They install water filters into people’s campsites and homes so they can have access to clean water. I’ve stayed in touch with them throughout the years and try to help out as much as I can. Luca: That’s fantastic. Where do you think those values were instilled in you? Madison: 100%, my parents. They’re the greatest people in the world. Fun fact: I was actually a wild child in high school. I won’t get into too much detail, but I had a really big wakeup call in high school, and was in with the wrong crowd and not doing great things, and I just had this realization of, “Where am I gonna be in ten years if I keep doing this?” If someone were to say something about me, like, what do I want them to say about me? Or in the morbid world, what do I want them to put on my gravestone? I don’t know, I just want to live a happy life and make other people happy. My parents have always taught that to me from a young age.
insane thing they could possibly do. And so, they just got a hose and stuck it up through her clothes and she held it on the side of her mouth. And but it wasn’t just one spurt. They only showed one spurt of it coming out of her mouth, but they had it going on – I’m not kidding – for a straight minute, just throwing up this mix of oatmeal and apple juice. It was a mixture of all the grossest things they could possibly put together and it’s just all over us. We were drenched. It was disgusting. That was one of those days (laughs). Another day, we flipped a giant taco truck in a high-speed chase. It was just so random, and all they wanted to do was flip the giant taco truck, and that day was absolutely terrifying because our stunt coordinator, Rocky, was in the car as it flipped. He was fine, but it was absolutely terrifying. Luca: With so much career still in front of you, whom do you look up to in your field? Madison: You know, my two go-tos are probably Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston because I love the both of them and I love their career and their career paths. I don’t necessarily even know where I want my career to go, but I’ve looked up to them since I was young, and I still do. They’re not only amazing actors, they’re great influences on the world and great role models and really strong, independent women in our industry. Luca: You mentioned not knowing where you want to take your career, but do you have any specific goals that you’d like to pursue? Madison: You know, I just like to work and I have so many things I want to do, it’s hard for me to put it in a box. One day I’d love to do a Nicholas Sparks romance movie, and then one day I’d love to be doing some crazy sci-fi alien movie. I have so many things I want to do, I don’t know exactly which is the one that is the one, you know? Luca: Final request, tell us something about you that not many people know. Madison: I can lick my elbow. Like, no one else can really do it. If, you try right now, I bet you can’t do it. I’ve got a size four and a half foot, which is really small. And I’m allergic to eggs. Catch Madison Iseman in this season’s highly-anticipated blockbuster “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”, starring Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan.
Luca: With those life changes in mind, what do you think people might say about today’s version of Madison? Madison: Probably...grounded, weird, and silly. I guess weird and silly are similar, but it works. Luca: What’s the craziest thing that you’ve experienced while shooting a scene? Madison: There’s this scene we did for “Still the King”, and me and my special friend on the show, played by Luke Benward, we’re about to get a little serious at a party I’m throwing at my house. My best friend Mabel, played by Chelsea Talmadge, runs up and has had too much to drink and basically throws up all over us after like our fourth attempt of being alone. Oh my gosh, all the producers on our show are just insanely crazy and try to think of the most

uca recently discovered the incredibly talented singer, songwriter and author Bathsheba. A child of the foster care system, she uses her talent to advocate for children lost in the system.

Born in Indiana, the beautiful Bathsheba Nichole Adams entered the foster care system at the age of 5 and was raised as an adopted child. From battlefields to runways, the combat boot has made quite the journey throughout history. The first known to wear combat boots were the foot soldiers of the Assyrians, who wore hobnail boots called Caligae. The boot was originally known as “hobnail combat boot” because it was made with hobnails, which were short nails with thick heads. The durable hobnail was incorporated into the boot’s design so that it would be easier for soldiers to travel through any type of environment. Interesting note, these boots had no left or right shoe! They were expected to conform to the soldier’s feet. Bad idea. Fast forward to the ‘80s, combat boots had a new group of people looking to buy the outside of the military. With the invasion of the goth, punk, and industrial kids, combat boots became much more mainstream. They became a fashion statement for a large population of American youth. By the late 1980s, the more famously noted Dr. Martens (Doc Martens) boots were popular with punk rockers, new wave musicians, and urban street styles. Today, almost every fashion conscious individual has a pair of these edgy boots in her stash. The combat boot trend has managed to be successful in capturing the attention of all walks of style - with denim and flannel for the tomboy, leather jacket and lace pencil skirt for the chic and a floral cotton maxi dress for the boho festival goer. Some hard core lovers of combat boots want the real deal which creates an authentic and vintage vibe and can only find their fix at military surplus stores. But fret not, many designers have adopted the combat boot in their fashion lines. Whether straight from military surplus stores or designer showrooms, the combat boot seems to be here to stay!
uca recently discovered the incredibly talented singer, songwriter and author Bathsheba. A child of the foster care system, she uses her talent to advocate for children lost in the system.

LINDSAY ARNOLD PROFESSIONAL DANCER feature

Arnold can be seen quite literally dancing LWithindsay with stars every Monday night on ABC’s Dancing The Stars. For the gorgeous Utah native that began dancing at age four, this is a dream come true. At eight years old, she found a partner and began dancing ballroom. Opportunity came knocking when So You Think You Can Dance was holding auditions in the nearby major city, Salt Lake and her mother encouraged her to compete. She was thrilled to have not only made it to the audition, but also to the live show! Lindsay made top 8 and while she was on tour, she got a call from the producers of Dancing With The Stars landing a spot on the show. The rest is history; Lindsay is now a recurring dancer on the show and participates on Dancing With The Stars Tour when the show isn’t filming.

This season, her tenth, Lindsay finds herself paired up with the amazing Jordan Fisher. She is blessed in that she gets to do what she loves - dance, every single day. So what is a day in the life of a professional dancer? It’s scheduled, jam-packed, and some might say crazy. Having asked Lindsay to describe her favorite day during the season of Dancing With The Stars, Lindsay replied quickly, “That’s easy-show day!” Show days-a Monday-start super early and just keep going. 7:30 AM Lindsay arrives at the studios early spending the first hour and a half in the makeup trailer and then quickly moves next to the hair trailer.

10:00 AM At this point, Lindsay is stage-ready even though she doesn’t perform until 5! During this time, she and Jordan head to the stage to block out their dance. The two of them dance with lighting, music and cameras so they get feel for the stage. It’s time to put all the countless rehearsal hours to the test. 12:00 PM Noshing...A quick but no doubt nutritious lunch is enjoyed. 1:30-3:30 PM Now, it’s back to the stage for a crucial two-hour dress rehearsal. This rehearsal is full on; all the costumes, music, and lighting is just how it will be later on that night when the show is live. They even add in time for the commercial breaks and packages so the set designers can get the props on and off the stage seamlessly. It is also the first time the dancers will perform their dances in full costume. 3:45 PM As one can imagine, they might need to revisit their glam team post dress rehearsal, so they go in for some touch ups and wait for the live show to start. 5:00-7:00 PM It’s showtime! The show begins and of course, Lindsay and Jordan leave it all on the dance floor. Once it’s over, they head to a press line for an hour.
Jordan and Lindsay, who have had a connection from the beginning, head out to grub to end their night. They are the same age and thus have a lot in common. The two love spending time together and often hang out with each other’s families. She is very fond of his girlfriend and Jordan is friends with Lindsay’s husband, Sam. After dinner, it’s off to bed to start another long day of dance rehearsals for next week’s show in the morning. It starts all over again. So what is a perfect day for Lindsay Arnold? Naturally it involves dancing. It would start with a delicious breakfast made by her husband, Same. Then Lindsay would head to the gym with friends. Going with friends helps keep the talented dancer motivated. After a trip to the nail salon, Lindsay would then head to a
show or event to dance. To cap it off, Lindsay would then head home to have dinner and cuddle on the couch with her husband Sam, and their labradoodle, Moose, who turned four this last Halloween. What are they watching in Lindsay’s perfect day? She loves binge-watching shows and is currently binging the second season of Stranger Things. When Lindsay is done dominating the 25th season of Dancing With The Stars, she’ll begin on a Dancing With The Stars Tour. This next one specifically, will be extended-11 weeks long rather than the usual 8. She loves going on tour because it’s the only time she gets to see and engage with fans. Once that’s over, the star will begin another season of Dancing With The Stars and continue doing what she loves.

THE CREDIT CARD START AND STAY DEBT-FREE Craig Moore financial planner
hat does a credit card do? Silly question, right? Everyone knows how to use a credit card, but what do you know about the credit side of a credit card? Investopedia defines “credit” as an agreement in which a borrower receives something of value now and agrees to repay the lender at some date in the future, typically with an additional fee attached, known as “interest”. The card is simply the medium with which the transaction is conducted. For example, say you buy a new pair of $70 jeans on your credit card. When your credit card bill arrives some time later, you are reminded that your card charges you 15% interest, so your bill (and thus, your jeans) actually end up costing you $80.50. Different credit cards will have different amounts of interest, different lengths of time before you actually owe interest, and many even have rewards programs. Obviously, there’s a lot to consider when using a credit card and understanding the credit behind it. A credit card tests your financial discipline and resolve. When used properly, a credit card can be a useful tool to build good credit and improve your credit score. However, in a society that screams, “I need it now, I want it now!”, the credit card can feed that urge and provide an avenue for an individual to give in to those temptations. An August article by Market Watch says that, “Americans had $1.021 trillion dollars in outstanding revolving credit in June of 2017” - a record level of revolving credit! This clearly tells us that many Americans are living outside of their financial means. If you choose to use a credit card, be responsible! Only charge what you can afford to pay off monthly and eliminate monthly balance carryover. The rewards and incentives are great, but do not let that entice you to overspend. A very common way for this lack of financial discipline to occur is by allowing young people and newly independent college students access to get a credit card. They often have meager monetary resources and are easily persuaded by the ability to get

I can remember clearly my first day as a young freshman on the university mall, seeing all the credit card booths. These companies worked so hard to get you to sign up, even offering free school swag as an incentive. Young, impressionable adults, trying new things, now have this new resource that allows them to take part in virtually any activity they want with a swipe of the card. Little does this person know, but they are at the beginning stages of a vicious downward spiral of continuous debt and poor financial habits. Fast-forward a month from that point and this young, naive college student has had the time of their life, but now cannot afford to pay the bill in full. Credit card companies know all of this, of course, and their marketing departments know how to appeal to the younger generation. Unfortunately, our educational system usually lacks education on money management as a critical life skill, so financial habits are often instead learned behaviors that come directly from parents and other family members. As denoted by the
large revolving debt number above, when it comes to finance, unwise adults are passing their habits on to children. The question then becomes, how do you set yourself up to succeed financially? The answer is actually relatively simple! First, you must always start with a budget. With a good budget, you can always know where your money is going. Make sure you include a savings category. Next, have the self-discipline to spend less than you make. If you can learn to live on 80% of your income, you will start the process of developing sound financial habits that can last a lifetime. Finally, learn to live within your means and have the self-discipline to say NO! You can’t afford to do everything all at once! The bottom line is that the wise use of credit is a critical skill in today’s world and if done correctly, can be a great thing. But if used unwisely, credit can rapidly turn from a useful tool to a crippling burden. As a financial planner, my hope is that our younger generations improve their financial I.Q. to live a debt free, more stress-free life.

Cooking has always come naturally to Isabella. Food has been the connection to spending time with her wonderful family and many great friends, but few years ago, cooking became serious. Knowing Isabella’s passion for food, her father surprised her by entering Isabella into a cooking competition. She was selected to compete on Food Network’s hit show, Chopped Junior. After three rounds of crazy basket ingredients and fierce competitors, she won! In early 2017, she was invited back to compete yet again in the first ever Chopped Junior Tournament of Champions. In the Tournament of Champions appetizer round, Isabella knew she needed to think outside of the box, so she decided to make a soup. It was pretty risky move - it’s very difficult to get all of the flavors to develop in just 30 minutes, but the Tom Ka Gai soup was a hit with the judges, sending her on to the entree round.

How to Stay Healthy this Winter
A D o c t o r ’s G u i d e
Karen K. Prentice D.O. F.A.A.P.
medical expert
L
ate one busy afternoon during flu season, I was charting away on my computer before going to my next patient when a sixyear-old boy walked by me and said, “Doctor Prentice, do you live here?” I looked up from my work in a daze and said, “Feels like it honey.” Flu season, for anyone who works in the medical field, can be extremely busy and exhausting. As a doctor, I have researched ways to help my patients, my family and myself stay healthy. It isn’t easy when everyone around me is sneezing and coughing, but these tips are tried and true: Tip #1 Wash your hands. I can’t stress this enough. Wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after being in a public place, before eating, and before touching your face.
tomatoes, carrots, spinach, kale, citrus fruits and strawberries. Other foods rich in antioxidants include beans, avocado, eggs, mushrooms, fish, nuts and spices such as garlic, ginger and turmeric. Avoid processed foods, sugary foods, fried foods and soda. Limit alcohol to no more than four to six ounces of red wine per day (if you are over 21 and choose to drink alcohol at all!). Tip #4 Reduce stress. When your body is in a constant state of stress, your immune system has a harder time fighting off illness. Find activities such as yoga, meditation or mindfulness exercises that can help you manage your stress better. Laughter is truly great medicine. Spend time with people who bring joy to your life and make you laugh.
Tip #2 Get at least seven hours of sleep per night. Anything less than seven hours can compromise the immune system, making you three times more likely to get sick.
Tip #5 Exercise daily. Even if your time is limited, find a way to get at least thirty minutes a day. Whether it’s walking, hiking, running, biking or working out at the gym, it really doesn’t matter. The act of exercising and keeping a fit body will improve your blood flow, improving the circulation of your immune cells.
Tip #3 Eat an antioxidant-rich diet. Food is my favorite topic! I truly believe that by being intentional about what you eat, you can prevent health issues and illness. Try to eat at least three servings of fruits and four servings of vegetables each day. Top choices include sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, blueberries, prunes,
Tip #6 Get some fresh air and sunshine. Studies show that those who are nature deprived suffer from more illnesses and infections than those who “play” outside daily. Combining exercise and outdoor time is a great way to avoid illness. If that isn’t your “thing” then just go outside and sit with a friend or a good book. Outdoor
time means vitamin D time! Vitamin D is an essential vitamin we get from the sun and certain foods. Those who live in northern climates often suffer from severe vitamin D deficiency, which can lead to depression and increased infections – see tip #7. Tip #7 Take your vitamins. I believe that even the healthiest of eaters cannot always take in all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need. Take a vitamin D3 supplement to avoid vitamin D deficiency, which can lead to a weakened immune system, increase in bony fractures, depression and exhaustion. I also recommend taking a good multivitamin and probiotic on a daily basis. More and more research is showing that by taking a probiotic (a supplement containing live bacteria that adds to your healthy gut bacteria), you not only will improve your digestive health, but can improve your immune system and possibly your mental health as well. Ask your doctor what doses and supplements are right for you. Tip #8 Have a cup of tea. The polyphenols found in tea have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which can help reduce inflammation and illness in your body. Drinking green, white or oolong tea have been shown to reduce cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and bacterial and viral infections. Try to avoid canned or bottled teas with added sugars and chemicals and stick to loose-leaf tea or tea bags.
Tip #9 Get a flu shot. According to the CDC, in the last ten flu seasons an average of 34,000 people per year died in the U.S. of influenza – some years reporting as low as 12,000 flu-related deaths and some years as high as 56,000 flu-related deaths. Many of these deaths could have been prevented simply by getting a flu shot. Despite what many people think, getting the flu shot will not give you the flu, although your arm may be sore and you may get a slight fever for a day or so. Ask your doctor if the flu shot is right for you. I hope this article has empowered you to make some healthy changes in your life. Simple things like a positive attitude, managing your stress, improving your nutrition and exercising a little can make a huge difference. You have the power to improve your health and prevent illness, so get started! I’ll leave you with a quote from Mother Teresa, “Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today, let us begin.”

ACHOOOO!
How to Stay Healthy this Winter

ate one busy afternoon during flu season, I was charting away on my computer before going to my next patient when a sixyear-old boy walked by me and said, “Doctor Prentice, do you live here?” I looked up from my work in a daze and said, “Feels like it honey.” Flu season, for anyone who works in the medical field, can be extremely busy and exhausting.
Top choices include sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, blueberries, prunes,

magine a life with a dark cloud that follows you IAnd everywhere you go during fall and winter months. once spring arrives, sunny days fill you with sunshine and happy days. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) with a seasonal pattern, formerly known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), affects up to 10% of the population, depending on geographic location. It’s no wonder that there is a common phrase for people that thrive on sunshine called “sun-worshippers”. Ultimately, MDD with a seasonal pattern is far more serious than just being in a funk or having the “winter blues”. Some have described it as feeling like a numb sadness, falling, drowning or a dark hole. Doctors and therapists use the guidelines from the Diagnostic Statistical Manual V to diagnose and look for all criteria for Major Depressive Disorder coinciding with specific seasons.
Symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder include: • Feel depressed most of the day, almost every day • Feeling hopeless or worthless • Having low energy • Losing interest in activities you once enjoyed • Having problems with sleep • Experiencing changes in your appetite or weight • Feeling sluggish or agitated • Having difficulty concentrating • Having frequent thoughts of death or suicide And they tend to have a seasonal pattern: • Relational pattern with symptoms and time of year (fall and winter) • Depression disappears in the spring Studies have found that women are diagnosed four times as many times as men. Younger adults have a higher risk of being diagnosed than older adults. It has even been reported in children and teens. Individuals that have a family history of depression
are at greater risk to develop MDD with a seasonal pattern than people that do not have a family history of depression. Unfortunately, the causes of this diagnosis are unknown. But research is carving the way to understanding this diagnosis more fully. One study found that people with MDD with seasonal pattern have 5% serotonin transporter protein in winter months than summer months. Serotonin is a chemical nerve cells produced in the brain and is thought to regulate anxiety, happiness, and mood. Some individuals may overproduce the hormone melatonin. They may also produce less vitamin D. As researchers discover more data about why symptoms occur, we learn how to prevent and treat the diagnosis more effectively. The good news is that there is a wide range of effective treatments available to help. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Professional support is available to treat this debilitating disorder including light therapy, medication, psychotherapy and/or vitamin D.
Planning ahead: If you know you have a seasonal pattern, ask yourself – “How can I plan for this?” Since this disorder has a specific pattern, those who experience it can plan ahead in several ways. Exercise more toward the end of summer Get into therapy in September Plan a vacation to a sunny place in January Some may do well with treatment only during the months that symptoms are most prevalent, while others benefit from year round treatment. One must realize that this is a medical condition and should be treated. Consider what will be best for you, and move forward with a strategy to know you can manage the disorder well by knowing what you need and when you need it.

aving grown up in Vermont, winter sports came naturally to the Teter Brood. Young Hannah saw how competitive her brothers were in their sports and she embraced it, “I most definitely got my competitiveness being surrounded by boys my whole childhood who were all into sports! I would cheer them on as a toddler, and they took sports pretty seriously, so it rubbed off on me that if you’re going to do something, give it all you got! The biggest thing I learned from them was to not hold back, to jump into what you’re doing 110%.” A school program when she was in second grade helped her find the perfect vehicle for her passion, snowboarding. Hannah narrates, “They would take us up to the mountain every other Friday. I had a little girls crew and we would rip up the mountain and loved every second of it. From these wins from childhood games, Hannah became inspired and pursued to be the best in the sport. At 15, she won the Junior World Championship in the women’s halfpipe in 2002. The following year, Hannah made it to the U.S. National Team which opened the door for more honors: bronze in women’s halfpipe at the Winter X Games in 2003; four World Cup halfpipe events in 2003-04; U.S. Snowboard Overall Grand Prix women’s halfpipe champion in 2004; bronze in women’s superpipe, World Snowboard Champions in 2005; Vans Cup Champion in 2005; bronze in superpipe, Winter X Games, 2005; won women’s halfpipe at the Chevy Grand Prix, 2005; and every athletes dream -- gold in women’s halfpipe in the 2006 Winter Olympics. The road to these victories isn’t an easy path. At an early age, Hannah started doing jobs such as dishwashing and mowing lawns to afford snowboarding which could get expensive. She looks back at this time with pride though and with gratitude for the lessons she has learned, “I was happy about it the whole time because sometimes to accomplish something, you have to start at the bottom and just believe in yourself 110% while thinking strictly positive to make it to the top.” Surprisingly, this woman who makes a living diving from the top of high powdery mountains admits to moments of fear, “I definitely get scared and nervous, butterflies filling my stomach especially when it’s blasting wind, or sub zero temperatures. To conquer the fear I just visualize myself doing exactly what it is that I want to throw down, seeing it perfect, feeling like I’ve already done it. That helps a lot.“ Aside from the medals, the rewards for Hannah’s hard work have been sweet -- literally. A few years ago, she received an invitation from another Vermont
native, Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s to help them create a flavor named in her honor. They came up with Teter’s Maple Blondie which is made up of maple ice cream with blonde brownie chunks and a maple caramel swirl. Ever the competitive, Hannah is proud of the flavor’s success in the market and the fact that she is the first athlete and the first girl to have a Ben & Jerry’s flavor. To continue telling Hannah’s story, though, is to learn about how she is also a champion in helping others. Just like her passion for sports, Hannah reveals that she became hooked in helping ever since she was a little girl and she learned it from her parents. “We sponsored children from third world countries when I was real young, and I’d read the letters they’d write to us how the money we were sending was completely changing their lives. It had a huge effect on me.” It made her realize that even though she thought she was “poor” growing up, she actually had opportunities other children, especially those from other countries, did not have. Hannah also shared that her charity work actually motivates her to continue with the sport and do well as she donates her earnings to her worthy causes. In 2008, Hannah founded Hannah’s Gold which raises money through the sale of Vermont’s maple syrup. Earnings go to villages in Kenya to build schools and dig wells to provide fresh drinking water. One of the examples of her charity work is Hannah’s Gold and Sweet Cheeks – Panties for a Purpose which offers a unique way to help. Each month a new pair of undies will be released dedicated to a different charity. Doctors Without Borders was the first recipient for their relief efforts in Haiti. That month, for every pair that is sold, five dollars will be donated to a different charity each month. Hannah is hoping to raise $100,000 by selling 20,000 pairs by May of this year. For the first month, the panties’ design had “Make Love Not War.” To find out what the next design is, the Sweet Cheeks website, where the products are also sold, has all the information. Hannah’s story is still unfolding. She doesn’t see herself retiring soon, “Believe it or not I feel like I’ve been getting younger since the last Olympics I competed in. And it’s most likely from the fact that I care so much about health, and treating my body so good that it does exactly what I need it to do. The fact that I feel so good makes me want to keep going. To show people that age is all in your mind... the better you treat yourself, the more successful you can be. See you in Pyeongchang in 2018, Hannah!

Tara Gamel ara Gamel grew up in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. She always had T a passion for art, even at a young age. Growing up in the 80’s gave her an appreciation for pop art, which seemed to resonate with her personality. As a teen, she painted and sold images similar to popular pop artist Patrick Nagel. She obtained a degree in graphic design in Arizona, but still longed for the process of putting paint to canvas. Tara and her husband created art together for various companies around the Valley of the Sun for many years. After moving out of Phoenix, Tara discovered her love for painting again through close friends who were also professional artists. She began painting pieces for local and national galleries, and sold many works through a national publishing company. As she grew as an artist, she began to see a change in the way she wanted to create. She attended the Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program to elevate her skills and discover her artistic voice. Now, she hopes to continue to create art that communicates her ideas and humor while still creating a sense of pleasing aesthetics and thought-provoking visuals for her collectors. Tara and her artist husband, Stacy, have 4 children together - one who is also a professional artist. They plan to continue to travel, create art, and share their voice with the world.

“There is a voice inside of us that we want the world to hear, but it takes being honest about who you are, and being vulnerable with the viewers. I am a middle child, so of course trying to stand out and be heard has always been a part of what drives me. I grew up in a house of women, which included my mom and 2 sisters. We had to learn to be strong and independent and I loved having that strength as I became an adult. As a child it had its disadvantages, but l learned how to cope by bringing humor into every situation I could. I know I’m painting whatever is inside of me that needs to be heard. I try not to plan too much of what I do. It’s always exciting, but it never becomes easy. Not having too much control leads to inspirational moments. I try to convey an idea and a feeling through images instead of words. I love those moments when people connect with my work and say, “Ah, I get it!” It’s a good feeling to know people get you and that you’re not alone in how you think!”

emembered as Wendy Darling in the ABC hit show, Once Upon a Time, Freya Tingley earned loyal fans in the iconic role. “I love my fans. They are really supportive and sweet, and I’m so grateful that I have them,” Freya says. She adds that most of these fans often ask her if Wendy would end up with Peter Pan.

Some of these fans though may not know that this 23-year old Aussie has an impressive list of diverse roles under her belt. She played a teen werewolf in Hemlock Grove, a young woman in an interracial relationship during the 1950s South in No Way to Live, and she just started filming as a violinist intent in finding about her father’s past in the supernatural thriller The Sonata. Freya left the comfort of her close-knit family in Perth and hit the ground running when she decided to pursue her dream in Hollywood. Work came in a dizzying pace but Freya is not complaining now that she is living her dream, “I was always really creative as a kid, and I went around telling people I was going to be an actress, a singer, and a model.” Freya is enjoying the different characters she has played and prepares for each role with a passion. “I really admire actors like Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman who can transform themselves into so many different identities,” she said.

Upon reading the script for No Way to Live, Freya knew right away she wanted the role for herself. “I thought it was the best script I’d ever read,” she said. She reached out to the movie director through Facebook and convinced them that she was perfect for the role of Nora. Describing her role as “the most challenging role to date,” Freya rolled up her sleeves in researching for the role. She explains, “I really needed to understand Nora’s motivation and emotion in order to play her with as much reality as possible. I was aware of the country’s dark history and went into it with as much information as I could, but what I found refreshing about the movie was its approach, which I won’t spoil here, but it encourages a dialogue!” In between shoots and pictorials, Freya relaxes by reading, watching movies, watching movies, listening to music, and playing candy crush. Recently, she turned to painting as a hobby using her cat, Norman, as her subject. Her friends were so impressed that they encouraged Freya to do pet portraits and the hobby turned into a business. She narrates, “I handed out some business cards (and) I was commissioned to paint a portrait of a dog.” Something tells us that, no matter how well she does in pet portraits, Freya’s sticking to her day job. She is already looking forward to the next role, “I look for great scripts first and foremost, which means incredible dialogue, a great story, and interesting characters.”

She is already looking forward to the next role, “I look for great scripts first and foremost, which means incredible dialogue, a great story, and interesting characters.”

rom sewing to singing, there’s not much Jordan Fisher can’t do. On an overcast day in Los Angeles, the Luca team was treated with a ray of light: Jordan Fisher. He arrived to his shoot in blue-lensed sunglasses and a bomber jacket, ready to demand the camera. Greeting everyone in the room with a soulful hug, it was immediately clear what kind of person he is. From his beginnings in a small town outside of Birmingham, Alabama, to Broadway, to the stage of Dancing with the Stars, Jordan remains the humble and genuine person his parents raised him to be. A perfect example is the close relationship he has with his groomer, Dusty Starks. As they chat about each other’s personal lives, Jordan loves hearing about what her sevenyear-old son is up to! Hopping off the makeup chair ready to shoot, Jordan doesn’t just hug Dusty but embraces her warmly. Jordan credits his parents with who he is today. Adopted by his maternal grandparents at birth, Jordan felt comfortable sharing his story for the first time this year while on Dancing with the Stars – simply feeling like it was the perfect platform to discuss it. He calls his parents the two most selfless, loving, caring and beautiful people he’s ever known. Hoping that his story will touch others, he wanted people to know that parents are the ones who love and raise you. In addition to his beautiful soul, music is part of Jordan’s core. Constantly singing and harmonizing along with the music playing during the shoot, Jordan shares, “I grew up loving Prince and Michael Jackson, but I was also listening to Justin Timberlake, Whitney, Mariah and Tyrese.” Jordan has been writing, playing and creating music from a young age. Beginning with the success of his debut eponymous EP, Jordan Fisher is ready for more. We are loving his new release, “Mess”, co-written by Jordan, Dewain Whitmore, Patrick “J-Que” Smight and Mike Sabath, which showcases a smooth R&B feel. Once singing backup for industry giants, Mariah and Celine Dion, Jordan opened for Alicia Keyes at last year’s Apple Music Festival and is now planning an upcoming tour. When Jordan was busy finishing his album, he got the call to join the cast of the Tony Award-winning Broadway smash, Hamilton. Jordan, who has been described by the great
Lin-Manuel Miranda as “super-talented”, saw a lifelong dream of performing on Broadway come true when he took on dual roles in the musical. Of Jordan’s brilliant set of tattoos, he explains his favorite, which is a reminder of his Broadway accomplishments: “My Alexander Hamilton. It was a dream come true for me when I had the chance to play John Laurens/ Philip Hamilton on Broadway.” The star has a beautiful portrait of Alexander Hamilton on top of his left forearm to commemorate his time as a cast member on the Broadway performance. Fortunate enough to meet a few of his alter egos on set, we were in awe (not to mention laughing hysterically) as he channeled each new personality, displaying his incredible acting ability. It’s no wonder he has so many fans and his career is growing steadily. The star is appreciative that he has had to work for where he is now, and it doesn’t look like he has intentions of slowing down any time soon. From Teen Beach Movie, Teen Beach Movie 2, Liv and Maddie, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Teen Wolf, Hamilton, and to his breakout performance in Grease Live!, Jordan is a triple threat. He also wowed us in his duet with Lin-Manuel on “You’re Welcome” from Disney’s Moana. Jordan has to say of Lin: “Lin-Manuel has influenced me by challenging me to use my brain in every capacity. He is one of the smartest creators I have ever been blessed to know and work with.” Among these many other things, Jordan Fisher is also well-traveled. He has traveled for charity, pleasure and for work. Modeled by his parents since childhood, Jordan shares, “I am fortunate and I want to give back to others.” His charitable endeavors led him to Africa where he got down and dirty building a school for a community in need. More exotic destinations include Ecuador and a twoweek trip to The Amazon. Of these and all the other places he’s been, Hawaii is his favorite, “I love Hawaii. It is my happy place.” Often traveling for work, Jordan shares that when he finds himself in a new city, he enjoys going to a local sports bar to watch a game and try a local cocktail or specialty. He believes this a great way to get to know a place – do what the locals do! On any given Friday night in town, however, it’s likely that you won’t find Jordan Fisher partying or at the club. Jordan’s schedule is hectic – especially while he was competing on Dancing With The Stars. At the time of the interview, Jordan explained, “Right now, I am rehearsing 4 to 5 hours a day, plus writing new music and making time to hang with friends, family and my dog, which is a priority for me.” He actually told us that Dancing with the Stars was more tiresome than when he was on Broadway in the cast of Hamilton. How could that be? Jordan explained that when he was in Hamilton it was the same thing every night. He would have busy days full of events and filming but when he got to the stage, he was performing a routine he had down pat – every note, every motion was engrained in him. He found performing relaxing even, as it was something very consistent during that time of his career. On Dancing with the Stars however, he had a new dance each week. After killing it one week, he started immediately learning an entirely new dance so that he could kill it again the next. Luckily, Jordan and his partner, Lindsay Arnold, became extremely close friends. They have a lot in common and are close in age, which helps. Jordan says of his partner, “We became friends instantly. She created a fun, safe rehearsal environment. She is a creative choreographer and I just love her. She is very authentic and genuine and she deserves to win this year! Plus, we are both goofy and silly together.” Their success in the competition is likely a side effect of their amazing chemistry. If someone can be more than a triple threat, that someone is Jordan Fisher. Lucky for us, he plans on sticking around to give the people what they want: “Next year will be busy with new projects on screen, new music and a tour. Can’t wait to share the news with you all as things unfold.” If his new music is anything like his most recent, we’re in for a treat.

ost of you know the beautiful Lindsey Morgan as the badass genius Raven Reyes on CW’s hit show, The 100. Luca fell in love with her instantly when she wrote a powerful piece for us back in our Spring Issue. Immediately we wanted more from the actress, but had to squeeze in an interview and photo shoot months later when her busy scheduled would allow. It was so worth the wait. Growing up in Texas, Lindsey was always interested in acting and theater but was also initially pretty shy about pursuing it. She shares, “As I was graduating high school, I really felt if I don’t go for this now, I’ll always be wondering ‘what if’. I decided to double major in theatre and journalism in college and found my first agent. I dropped out of college after my sophomore year and moved to LA. Dropping out and moving across the country wasn’t on a whim. I had some major ‘life signs’ that pointed me there and I felt ‘time and youth’ were so important in the industry, that I could always finish college later if acting didn’t work out. It was very impulsive, but I never second guessed it.” Lindsey Morgan took that risk and it has paid off, but her success did not come without hard work. “I, thus, started my journey to become a working actor in LA, taking as many classes as I could, absorbing knowledge everywhere, reading anything, asking for advice and making a TON of mistakes. I finally found great representation from the help of an amazing acting teacher
and General Hospital was my third audition that led to a six year contract role. It was my first ‘REAL’ gig. I still felt like I didn’t know what I was doing half the time, but I was hell bent on figuring it out.” Lindsey truly believes that acting is a craft, an art form, and like any craft, you must practice at least 10,000 hours to master it. She continues to hone her craft, still in class, trying to broaden her strengths and knowledge. As far as her roles, Lindsey feels honored to portray such a strong character like Raven Reyes. “She [Raven Reyes] embodies so much strength, passion and intelligence, vulnerability but resilience. I think she is a fantastic role model for anyone, including myself. She never gives up and whatever she faces, she thinks a way through it or at least tries. The ‘never say die’ attitude is something I love so much about her. I hope other people can resonate with her, anyone with struggles or a disability (physically, mentally, emotionally) can find solace and inspiration in her strength to endure and conquer. I think she is also a rare character. It is surprisingly and unfortunately hard to find a female character on television that is a woman of color, disabled, a super genius, sexy and still kicks a ton of ass. She is never stereotyped by her ‘labels’ but instead defies them all.” Not only has Lindsey Morgan been killing it on The 100, she’s also continuing to add to her impressive acting portfolio. She just completed her fave role to date this summer in

I loved how different they were and just how fun it was to step back in time to the 80’s and live like that.” Having a chance to live in Brooklyn for a month and a half was a dream come true for Lindsey. Based on a real person, the upcoming film chronicles the life of Debbie Espinoza, a 23-year-old recent college grad from Long Island. Debbie is trying to pursue her dream to be a dancer on Broadway. Set in New York in 1983, Debbie is described as the ‘new age’ girl who is sassy as hell and thinks she’s worldly. Lindsey shares, “In the end, my character learns something about herself from someone she least expected.” Although she once compared herself to the very serious and disciplined Raven, Lindsey admits she has loosened up a bit over the years. She is incredibly grounded, and at this point is just trying to have more fun. Fun for her includes the outdoors

If I’m working on set, I usually have a go-to character playlist.” Lindsey also finds inspiration in helping others. “Right now I’m doing some work with the Red Cross in my hometown of Houston, where Hurricane Harvey just hit. I am also trying to find ways to help with Puerto Rico during my hiatus.” Take a look at Lindsey’s social media and you’ll see, she’s got great style. How does she define it? “I love anything Alexander Wang, he’s feminine with just enough edge and masculinity. I also really love Alexandre Vauthier, if only I could afford any of it. I usually stick to staples like my everyday Nikes, Rag and Bone jeans and James Perse. My IRO black leather motorcycle jacket is essential.” Not only does Lindsey use her social media to express her amazing style or amazing travels, she also uses it to speak for others and vocalize causes she deems just. “I think sometimes it’s difficult to share your political opinions as an actor because you don’t want to offend any of your fans or who knows, someone that may give you a job in the future, but I feel there are some issues that are more important than being liked by everyone or a job. There are some issues in our life we have to take a stand for, regardless of how it may affect our standing with others.” We couldn’t have said it better, Lindsey.
Although Lindsey despises talking about herself, she has great awareness and intuition about situations or circumstances. She is very empathetic and really enjoys giving herself to others, to uplift or make them laugh. “I sometimes think that’s what makes me a good actor, my empathy and my desire to give. I think it’s my best quality.” People often tell her that she gives good advice and has great perspective. Her best advice to others? “I think the best thing is to be honest and true to yourself. If you aren’t, what’s the point?” At her photo shoot, she radiated beauty, kindness and yes, badass confidence. She is excited for the future, as are we. When we asked what can we expect to see happen at The 100 Convention in Madrid this March, she replied, “A very happy Lindsey, lots of dancing and lots of paella! Spain is one of my favorite places in the world, so I am very excited to go back and meet our Spanish fans!” Keep an eye out for Lindsey in The 100 and her upcoming film Summertime. We can’t wait to see where Lindsey’s career takes her next. And for us, good things come to those who wait.

Blackening seems counter intuitive in our strive to brighten and whiten. The basic concept of incorporating charcoal into the the beauty regime is charcoal’s ability to attract and attach dirt and oil. Activated charcoal draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of skin, assisting in a flawless complexion and fighting acne. When dirt and oil in your pores come in contact with the carbon, they stick to it. Then it is as simple as rinsing it all away.

DRUG STORE STRONG
Whether Naughty or Nice...
You don’t have to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks! These are five of our favorite drugstore beauty products. They are perfect hacks for gorgeous glam without breaking the bank. First is the “Maybelline Precise Fiber Volumizing Eye Brow Gel”. With just the right amount of hold and color, it is easily a must have brow product. We’ve been keeping the “Garnier SkinActive Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller” a secret for a very long time! Keep one in the fridge to really wake up eyes and depuff every morning. For the lashes, we love the “L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara” because of it’s flexible brush and no flake formula. The “No.7 Beautifully Matte Foundation” is just that, a beautiful matte natural finish that really does well with long wear. Everyone struggles to find the perfect blush for everyday use. This Covergirl Cheekers Blush in “Brick Rose” is the perfect balance of pink and brown, giving you a pretty glow, great for any look. Hope you enjoy these fabulous drugstore beauty finds!
Products trending come from charcoal. All beauty bases covered. Hair, skin and teeth...yum!

Then it is as simple as rinsing it all away.

o other season is as unforgiving to your skin as winter. Frigid temperatures, a drop in humidity, and biting cold winds all strip your skin and leave it feeling raw. Step back inside, and central heating takes the water out of the air, drying your skin even more! Glam girls around the world know that the secret to maintaining a glowing complexion throughout the winter months lies in the restorative magic of the mask! There is a mask for every skin condition and complexion, and you can mask multiple times per week, tackling each of your skin’s needs.
beauty
When skin gets dry, it also gets flakey and needs extra help by exfoliating. Instead of choosing a rough exfoliating scrub (which will scratch the baby skin underneath, keeping your complexion in a perpetual cycle of rough skin), opt for a gentle enzyme mask. Enzymes break down and clear away dead cells and debris on the surface of the skin, leaving you with a healthy, glowing complexion. If you are battling congested skin with blackheads and pimples, an enzyme mask once every week or two will also help keep the surface clear, preventing dead skin cells from blocking your pores. Rather than using ultra-drying acne preventing skincare products, try adding a simple charcoal mask once per week. A charcoal mask can help end the pimple cycle by giving your complexion a deep cleanse and drawing out impurities. If your complexion feels dry or needs some extra glow, a nourishing, moisturizing mask is like giving parched skin a long, cool drink of water. Moisture masks make your skin soft and radiant. Sometimes winter skin just gets plain angry. If your skin is in a bad mood, looking rough and red, try an oatmeal mask to calm it down and make it happy again. Some masks serve multiple tasks: Rêves de Sabine’s beautiful Rose Clay mask (pictured here) softens your skin, encourages cell renewal and improves your skin’s elasticity, while its anti-inflammatory properties calm your complexion. Sabine makes affordable yet luxurious, all-natural skincare products, available online at RevesdeSabine.com. If you want to try some homemade masks this winter, head on over to the Luca Magazine website (LucaMagazine. com) and check out our recipes for DIY Masks!

inter is coming, and so is the new year! It feels like every year we make commitments to ourselves to get healthy. This year, let’s include making and keeping our hair healthy too! For starters, have your stylist give you a good trim – this will help your hair start to grow faster and healthier. Go back to get another trim every three months to keep those split and frayed ends from breaking off. Start doing a hair masque every two weeks. Masques help keep life, moisture and shine in your hair. For all of you blondes out there: check out purple and blue masques that not only hydrate your hair, but keep your blonde from going brassy, leaving you with that nice, icy cool blonde that you’ve been looking for. Ask your stylist for a nice shiny glaze to help seal your cuticle and add tons of shine. Your hair will love you for this! If you do color your hair, ask your stylist to use an ammonia-free color – this way, you still get all the beautiful color benefits without the damage. With the weather getting cooler and dryer, we tend to get a lot of flyaways and static in our hair. There are two simple ways to help combat this: One is to use a spray shine that will help tame those bad boys while adding shine. The other is to keep a couple of static-guard dryer sheets in your purse! When your hair starts feeling unruly, take one of them out and rub it on your hair. Works like a champ. If you are trying to grow your hair longer, there are plenty of hair and nail vitamins on the market – find a good, quality one and take as recommended. These will help give you the nutrients you need to have the healthy, thicker mane you’ve been wanting. Lastly, don’t forget to use heat protectants! This will help keep your blow dryer and hot irons from frying your hair. You will surely notice a difference. Getting your hair to healthy and happy is one of the best things you can do for yourself this coming year!

Ice Ice Baby
Midas Touch
Cool Silvery Whites paired with pale skin and pale lips make a dramatic statement for winter. Icey whites look stunning with any outfit but are especially fabulous with a monochromatic color palette.
Rolled Golds make an appearance this winter, lending a high drama, high impact, high fashion vibe to any occasion, whether it’s for work or play. Winter golds are not the same as bronzy, summer golds. Look for yellow undertones and true golds, pairing them with graphic liner and metallic lips.

Well Red
Winter Blues
Red eye shadow adds intensity and vibrancy to bleak cloudy days. Reds are the best match for green eyes, but are equally gorgeous on all. As subtle as a well-blended soft hint of red shadow, or as fired- up as an oversized red winged liner, red breathes excitement into winter’s neutral wardrobe.
Blue liner is back this season, adding mega drama to any look. Balanced with a creamy complexion and a soft lip, go bold with the shadow and let your eyes command all the attention. Huge lashes make a statement all of their own. Darken the eye for drama and bat these beauties at the world.

T-GAZZI
Aber Gazzi is a British brand. As a child she started developing illness in her vision that cost an eye, never spoke much only by painting. She painted singers that she was inspired by their stories. That’s how the brand was born. Gazzi continued to study people from different parts of the world, different sizes, heights and the way they look at life, what they have in their thoughts, but most of all their body language. That’s how she gets most of her influences. T-Gazzi by Aber Gazzi is a t-shirt that inspired by today’s life, and the people around the world. “We call our t-shirts (T-Gazzi) because T stand for today and tomorrow. Our brand is always been a huge supporter of human right and we always try to show awareness. As we believe in every dark room there is always a small light that shines for hope.” The T-shirts are created and hand embroidered in a small studio in Milan. T-Gazzi has no size, no age and is unisex. There are 7 designs, but each copy of a design looks slightly different than the other. Thus... you will always have a one of a kind T-Gazzi piece, designed just for you. photography Mattia Crepaldi • stylist Nicole Lustolin • model Numa Palindromia
