Professional Experience -HKS Architects | Intern Architect Orlando, FL | May 2014- August 2014 | I worked primarily as part of the lead design team which successfully won two new projects during the summer of 2014. My responsibilities included design exercises on several current HKS projects as well as pursuing all potential future projects, producing conceptual design options, diagramming conceptual ideas, producing color renderings, putting together design presentations, and meeting with clients. I was able to work on several types of projects including healthcare, education, sports facilities, entertainment, and high-end residential condos. As a Retail, Dining & Entertainment Development, my responsibilities included internal schematic design studies, consulting with the Reedy Creek Building Department while conducting code analysis on pre-existing building conditions, restaurant space planning, tenant coordination and flexibility exercises, participating in the IPD “Big Room” and “ICE” sessions, and working with the Creative Team on themed design solutions to existing building code issues.
-ZHA Intl | Project Planner Orlando, FL | January 2013 - May 2013 | Cape Canaveral Air Force Station | 45th Space Wing, US Air Force - General Plan | I provide master planning services including hand drawn color renderings and construction documentation for ZHA, Incorporated, a contractor for NOTU, Naval Ordinance Testing Unit and Cape Canaveral Air Force Base, General Plan. Both Projects included assessment on existing facilities, provision of space need assessment for future 20 year and 50 year planning, including launch facilities, munitions and storage, earth covered magazines, quantity distance arcs, testing, and process and security operations. -Benavides Architecture | Intern Architect, Winter Garden, FL | May 2012 - May 2013 | LA Fitness Health Clubs | I worked on producing construction drawings for LA Fitness Health Clubs. Both new construction exceeding 50,000 sq.ft. and interior renovations which require change of use occupancy. Experience in multiple stages of projects including Construction Documentation, Design Development, Schematic Design, calculation of occupancy loads, producing color renderings for architectural review boards, preparing Building Department comments, and preparing documents for permitting. -Higbie Kitchen Renovation | March, 2011 Winter Park, FL | Kitchen Renovation for a single family residence. | Responsible for all phases of the renovation including: Design of the new kitchen, Planning and Scheduling of the installation, Demolition of the existing kitchen, Construction of all cabinets and build outs, Final Installation of all new components.
