B io Graduate architect with master degree at politecnico di Milano in april 2013, I started travelling (and fell in love with it) during the summer (or shall i call it winter?) of 2010: it was during that mid-semester brake when I left Brisbane, Australia - where i was attending a 12 months internship for my architecture studies - to hitch hike 1500 km North, direction Cairns. That was my first real voyage since before going to Australia I had only experienced short trips around italy: the feeling of freedom, indipendence and uncertainty was incredible, never felt like that before. I repeated and tried to travel as much as possible while down under, so i drove 1200 km to Sydney with 2 friends in a van, flew to New zealand where i hitch hiked alone for 2 weeks then back to Melbourne where i met my old roomies for a road trip on the great ocean road and surroundings. After coming back, I kept travelling as much as I could while studying: Summer 2011 is when I decided to ride my vespa for 3300 km down to the bottom of my country -and back of course- to discover its beauties and secrets: the giro d’Italia; in autum I roadtripped and surfed in Canarian Islands. Next year (2012) I travelled around Europe to meet friends: France, Spain and Portugal by every mean of transportation: plane, bus, train, car, hitch hiking; in autumn I flew to Norway to hike in the beautiful fjords of Sytravanger, a sort of “into the wild” trip with Olav, my old housemate from Brisbane. The only reason I wrote about all of my travels is this: from the many different ways of travelling I gained the experience of moving and being autonomous in a foreign country, I learnt how to move and relate to people from all over the world, with different cultural backgrounds and speaking languages (also the hand-gestures language is very important sometimes). My curiosity towards all of this is driving me in the discovering of what’s New and different from me and what surrounds my everyday life.

B ike ...I have always been cycling since I was young, being my father a road bike enthusiast: i biked to school, going to the city... living in a medium size town like Modena with heaps of cycling paths really helped. My first bike trip was in summer 2013, and it was planned but totally casual in a way: I was planning a postgraduation bike trip with a fellow since months, but he got a job in Austria right After. So during the summer i decided to just go and meet him...crossing the alps by bike, 450km in 4 days was due to the hurry of arriving in 4 days, but that was the beginning of everything. I just fell in love with the bike travel philosophy. Later on I created and tested an original trip we named the “7 lakes, during which me and my girlfriend touched 7 of the most beautiful lakes in the north of italy, from mantova to molveno, for a total 450 km in 5 days of slow cycling and 3 days of resting and relax. Discovering secret and amazingly beautiful places as well as ourselves. Super low cost, no emissions, fisical workout and heaps of marvel and satisfaction. Camping here and there or asking for a warm shower from friends on the way; we also randomly met a few friends on the road, how small the world is! 2014 was time for the big trip: i spent 1 month cycling across Ireland, from south to north: 1200 km on the Incredible Wild Atlantic Way. It has been the ultimate adventure trip, no plans, justfollowing the spirit and discovering this beautiful country kilometer after kilometer, meeting incredibly hospitable and friendly people and being stunned from the sceneries. WHAT’S NEXT?
