Whether you have moved into one of Wichita’s historic, classic neighborhoods or into one of the incredible suburbs, you now live in the thriving Greater Wichita area.
My wife and I grew up here. We moved away temporarily for work. After coming back, we couldn’t imagine leaving again.
This city is on the verge of something BIG. Between the booming downtown area consisting of new restaurants, new businesses and new entertainment, like our brand-new $80 million Riverfront Stadium, there is something for everyone.
We encourage you to get out and explore our city, whether you moved across town or moved into town. Explore our city like you would as a tourist and support local. To get a small idea of what you could find: ▸ Arkansas River, protected by our guardian, The Keeper of the Plains ▸ 126 parks, including Sedgwick County Park, OJ Watson Park, and
Naftzger Park to name a few ▸ Over 100 miles of bike paths including along the river ▸ Nine breweries, a taproom, two wineries, a vineyard and a distillery
Take the time to explore and then get involved. There are numerous organizations you can get plugged into immediately and start making an impact. Make this city your own. Together we can continue to push Wichita forward and make it a better place, not just for us, but for our kids and for generations to come.
