Where did the time go!? On May 29th, Memorial Day aka the unofficial start to summer is approaching! While the day is filled with fun events such as family cookouts, the beach etc. Memorial Day has many unhealthy temptations i.e. deep fried foods and alcohol.
Here are 3 health and fitness tips to help you boost your confidence for the big night! • Ditch the crash diet plan, it is unhealthy and will resort a bad relationship with your body and food. Make your plates colorful with fruits and vegetables. Take a browse through the LR lifestyle blog for healthy recipe ideas.
Here are 5 tips to maintain your health and fitness routine and ensure you don’t fall off track for the rest of warmer and brighter months to come!!

Sneak in your veggies wherever possible.
• Fit in exercise 3 to 4 times per week. Try to get at least 30 minutes per day, alternating between cardio and strength training workouts.
Opt for seltzer water or the regular stuff over the colored and boozy drinks.

Exercise in the morning before the festivities begin - you can do a quick HIIT workout.
• Start saying this every morning (even after prom) “I am good enough, right now, as is, but I will always try to be better”

Take a dish with you such as a healthy dessert or a refreshing fruit salad to prevent feeling obligated to eat the unhealthy tempting dishes.

Do not focus too much on the food. Focus on spending time with friends and family.
