Thoughtful site planning considers sun orientation to optimize shading and energy efficiency while maximizing views through elevated outdoor spaces, such as rooftop decks or raised patios, to enhance sightlines over dunes and surrounding structures. Seamless access to parking, pedestrian pathways, and community amenities ensures convenience and connectivity. Material selection is paramount, incorporating durable solutions that withstand salt exposure, humidity, high winds, and hurricanes. The ultimate goal is to create an elegant, architecturally sound residence that serves as a legacy property to be enjoyed for generations.

The design of this home embraces a modern yet timeless architectural vision, seamlessly integrating with the iconic contextual language of Alys Beach. Inspired by its surroundings, the residence exudes elegance, sophistication, and a signature Christopher aesthetic. Every detail was carefully considered to enhance the way residents and guests experience the property, from circulation and entertainment to the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The ground level features a full guest suite, kitchenette, laundry, and a pool bath, with seamless access to the courtyard and cocktail pool through floor-toceiling pivot doors. The second level serves as the heart of the home, housing the main living spaces—including the kitchen, dining room, great room, wet bar, and outdoor porch— alongside an additional guest suite and a bunk room for six. The third floor is dedicated to private retreats, offering two guest suites and a primary suite with a private terrace. A fourth-floor rooftop terrace, accessible via an outdoor staircase, interior wood and metal stairs, or a fully glass-enclosed elevator, provides panoramic views, completing the home’s thoughtfully designed architectural experience.

When our team at Christopher Architecture & Interiors began working on the initial design, the priority was for the home to execute exceptional planning. We wanted the home to be an unparalleled escape for guests and residents, therefore, carefully designed to not sacrifice functionality for architectural ornament. In an area rich with great architecture and detailing, we gravitated towards simplicity and sophistication.
