Lucy Baker

Lucy Baker is a fine art portrait photographer who focuses on issues of identity and the self. Being an identical twin, she has always been passionate about exploring ideas of identity development, and she explores these issues through the medium of portraiture photography. The vast majority of Lucy's body of work explores identity in some way, all of it coming together to question ideas of self-perception and self-identity. Past works have also looked at the identity of a person within their landscape. In her current project 'Monozygotic', Lucy is using sets of identical twins to create a series of portraits which are completely fictitious in that they are created using postproduction to merge different elements of the twins physical features to create a 'singleton'. She works with digital imagery and manipulation to create her work.
