Soft Signage and Textile Graphics You have probably heard a great deal about soft signage recently. In fact everyone in the print and display world is totally convinced it is a technique that is here to stay. Let’s take out the mystique! Soft signage actually refers to any image that has been printed onto a textile fabric. The two most common materials currently used are polyester and canvas. The benefits to you are enormous. The most obvious being that very large display panels which previously would have been produced using a rigid board and then delivered in a lorry can now be folded up and posted in an envelope! So the front end financial and environmental benefits of producing your display graphics this way are obvious. Quality is not an issue as printed textiles can now be stretched into a bespoke aluminium frame. Shell Scheme Solutions Many of our customers rent space at exhibitions and conference venues that are known as shell schemes. If you are new to exhibiting it might be helpful for you to understand that this consists of an area of floor space bordered by walls. The stand will often be described using two figures eg 2x4. In this case the 2 denotes the depth in metres and the 4 indicates the width in metres. Invariably you will also be given the option to have it open on one side (in a row of other stands) or open on two sides (a corner site). Your stand will come with blank walls and an upright pole every metre. The exhibition organiser will often offer you a header panel on which your organisationâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s name will be displayed. Your stand therefore consists of an open space and blank walls which are ready to be populated and decorated.
