"Let’s buy Christmas presents from small businesses and selfemployed people, e.g. your neighbour who sells online, a craftsperson or artist, the bakers that do handmade cakes. Let’s make sure our money goes to individual people and not multinational companies. This way, more people will have a better Christmas. Support real people if you think this is an awesome way to show community support! We do and that's

DECEMBER DELIGHTS IN SE1 Well here it is, Merry Christmas, and everybody's having fun at Skylark Galleries on London's South Bank. We're here to sprinkle some seasonal magic over your holiday with our Christmas shows at Skylark 1 in Gabriel's Wharf and Skylark 2 in the Oxo Tower.

Whether you are after a small gift or something a little more extravagant, we have beautiful objects to please every taste and budget. From hand-made cards such as the linocut leaves shown below by Kit Boyd or Christmas tree textural cards by Gill Hickman, in effect you can pick up an original for the price of a turkey sandwich. And we also have some unique tree decorations in Skylark 2. Among the paintings and photography, Colin Ruffell's London Collection paintings in Skylark 1 are a great choice for the city-dweller or tourist to the capital. In Skylark 2 photographic artists Michelle Elwell and Colin Pearce both have a surprisingly unique take on

nature and still life.

And ceramics make a wonderful gift for a loved one. Ruty Benjamini's Christmas Leaf below is just £50, and Deana Lee's beautiful dish to the right is £350. Carrying on the 3-dimensional theme, Steve Yeates's papier-mache editions and pewter figures shown below make adorable presents. And we'd like to introduce you to a new artist in the gallery, Kathy Prest, whose award-winning bronzes and lead crystal sculptures are now in Skylark 2.

As a collective of artists making a living from what we enjoy most, we are very grateful for your patronage and support. Even buying a card from Skylark supports the artist and the gallery. We love meeting you and talking to you about our work, and without you we wouldn't be able to carry on. With this in mind, we'd like to wish you all the best for the season, and look forward to seeing you again soon.
