WELCOME To The Town Farnham Town FC is a community-centred football club based in Farnham, Surrey.
teams here at Farnham, we have players ranging in age from 4 to over 70, making us one of the most diverse and inclusive clubs in the area.
Our first team currently compete in the Combined Counties Premier Division South, and we boast a number of other teams including women’s and several youth age groups. Across all of the

place every other Saturday. Our club relies upon the support of the local community and we have an army of more than 60 volunteers who contribute their own time and effort to keep the club running. History Established in 1906 - Through the merging of Farnham Bungs (the Farnham Brewery) and the Farnham star, the club was one of the founder members of the London Spartan League in 1975.
1976-77 – Reached the fourth round of the FA Vase.
1990-91 – The glory days finally arrived as the club won their first ever league title.
1979-80 season - At the end of the 1979/80 season, Farnham Town left the London Spartan League and applied to the Combined Counties League. The club’s application was accepted, finishing 4th in the first season.
1991-92 - In the 1991-92 season, the Town got a clean sweep of the major trophies by winning the Combined Counties Premier League, the Dan Air Elite Cup and the Dan Air Challenge Cup. Having won the league, the club applied and were accepted into the Diadora League, however funds for necessary ground improvements could

not be generated and resulted in the club not having a league to participate in for the 1992-93 campaign. 1993-94 - Being accepted back into the Combined Counties League the following season, Farnham finished in the top six of the Premier Division for three consecutive seasons. Subsequent to this, the club suffered relegation from the Premier Division in 2001 before bouncing straight back and then going

onto endure four tough seasons in the Premier Division. 2007 - after four tough seasons of bottom four finishes, the club showed resilience in bouncing back again and then were crowned champions of Division One in 2007 under the guidance of Barry Bridger. With the ground not meeting the desired grading by the league, The Town were denied promotion again, having to spend another four seasons in Division One.
2010-11 - Clinching promotion in the 2010-2011 season after finishing second behind Worcester Park, Paul Tanner’s first season at the helm saw the side gain automatic promotion to the Premier Division at the first attempt, having retained only four members of the side from the previous year’s squad. Tanner’s side also won the Combined Counties Fair Play Award for 2010-11 after not having a single player sent off for the whole

History CONTINUED season – a record to be proud of. In a very successful year for the club on the whole, Dean Nelson’s reserve side finished second behind Mole Valley in the Combined Counties Reserve Division, improving on their fourth place finish the previous season. The ladies team also finished second in their respective league to cap quite a remarkable season in Geoff Chapple’s final season as Chairman. In 2011, Ray Bridger took over as Chairman.

2015-16 – The team lifted the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup in 2015-16 whilst also reaching the final of the Aldershot FA Senior Cup. 2017-18 - The 2017-18 season was ultimately one of disappointment for the club. A good start saw the club go on its best run in the FA Vase in decades, the defeat of higher league opposition in the County Cup and reaching 12th place on the back of a long undefeated
run by early November. However, defeat in the last minute of the FA Vase 2nd Round to Bridgwater Town marked a significant turning point, not recording a single league win between 8th November and the season’s end. This run led to the resignation of longserving manager, Paul Tanner. Paul Bonner and then Emmanuelle Boudine were brought in to try and attempt to reverse the club’s fortunes but alas it wasn’t to be. The Town ended the

season right at the foot of the table, being relegated back to Division One. The one highlight of the latter half of the season however was the progression to the semi-finals of the Aldershot Invitation Cup, losing to eventual winners, Hartley Wintney.
There is renewed optimism around the club, with experienced new manager Tony Reid at the helm as the first team manager. The club also has exciting plans in the pipeline, and has made a effort to improve the ground and bar area.
In 20-21 season we got promoted to the Combined Counties Premier League, where we now compete.

A club for all Farnham Town prides itself on inclusivity and we are pleased at both the array of teams we have and the popularity and success of each of them. In total, we have over 30 teams that represent Farnham Town, including men’s, #U PT HE TO W N
women’s, vets, pan-disability and our youth mini monsters. We also have a walking football team which is aimed at those over the age of 50, but also includes players aged 35 and over who are no longer able to compete in regular competitive matches. We launched our walking football teams
in 2020, and hope to soon have teams entered into 50s, 60s and 70s age group leagues. We have a qualified coaching team in place that lead our weekly sessions every Tuesday evening, and our walking football teams train on a 3G pitch which reduces the risk of discomfort and injury.

Living Well with Illness Our Living Well service supports patients who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer, to help manage their everyday life at home. Our holistic team includes Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Therapists, Counsellors and Patient & Family Advisors, who visit patients at home to offer symptom management, therapies, pain control and provide equipment to maintain independence. They also provide 1-2-1 and group support at the Hospice and Beacon Centre through programmes focussing on topics such as fatigue, nutrition and therapies, supplemented by exercise & movement sessions. Regular contact with our clinicians ensures that patients and families get all the help they need and, if they attend our sessions, they can meet and chat with others to share experiences. As their illness progresses, they can then be referred on to our Hospice Care at Home or In-Patient Unit for end of life care.

Development Team In 2022, we launched a development team aimed at providing a seamless pathway from youth football to the senior game.

Throughout the youth age groups, a lot of players are signed by academies of clubs higher up the football pyramid, and our development team is designed to allow players to remain part of the club.

we teamed up with Waverley Borough Council to launch Farnham Town Walkers. At Farnham Town Walkers we want to build a team who enjoy football and a good social environment, but most importantly want to stay active. Our long
term aim is to be able to enter teams into both 50’s, 60’s and 70’s leagues. Although walking football is aimed at people over the age of 50, we also encourage players who fall below this age looking to stay playing but can no longer compete playing in the vet’s league.

Games are normally 5 or 6 a-side. Our Farnham Town Walkers play every Tuesday night at Weydon School,
