The 2013 cruising season begins with our popular weeklong journey through colourful Holland and picturesque Belgium when the tulips are in full bloom. Take a memorable trip along the extensive waterways that stretch like an elaborate net through the Low Countries and see the almost endless fields of tulips on both sides as you float through them. Your cruise includes seeing the sights of famous cities like Amsterdam with its canals, Ghent, Bruges and Brussels. Among other highlights of the week are the well-known fishing village of Volendam with its buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries and crossing over the IJesselmeer, the dyke-surrounded sea bay stretching between the coasts of Friesland and North Holland. Visiting the Keukenhof, probably the world’s most beautiful park in the spring, is a further highlight of this colourful week. Also known as the “Garden of Europe”, the Keukenhof is the largest flower garden in Europe and situated in South Holland. More than seven million flowers, including tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, form a glorious decor for your most beautiful pictures.

Before discovering the beauty of the historic cities along the Danube on your one-week cruise, you have the optional opportunity to enjoy three days in the “golden city” of Prague. The AMADEUS SILVER, the first ship in the AMADEUS fleet to boast a length of 135m, has a total of 78 enlarged standard cabins (16m²) which, on the Mozart and Strauss decks, are equipped with a new, innovative type of French balcony: the panoramic window front, which extends the whole width of the cabin, can be automatically lowered and thus used as a balcony. The 12 AMADEUS suites (24m²) also come with a functional outside balcony with table and chairs, a large panoramic window, and a comfortable bath with separate toilet and separate shower. Particular highlights of the AMADEUS SILVER are the open air ‘River Terrace’ lounge in the bow of the ship, the spacious fitness room on two decks and the new Café Vienna with typical Austrian coffee specialities and Sachertorte.
