Con i suoi colori e la sua vivacità, Lugano LongLake Festival torna dall’11 al 28 luglio, nel cuore dell’estate luganese. Un vero e proprio festival urbano, giunto alla 14ª edizione che coinvolge alcune delle più belle location di Lugano, dal Parco Ciani al lungolago, ﬁno a Piazza Manzoni, Piazza della Riforma e il LAC.

Con oltre 300 eventi in programma, il festival o re una vasta gamma di esperienze, tra cui concerti, attività per famiglie, spettacoli, installazioni di arte urbana, mercatini, conferenze e ballo per permettere alla popolazione e ai turisti di vivere grandi emozioni all’insegna della cultura urbana e della convivialità.

Nel ricco cartellone di eventi spiccano i concerti con artisti della scena musicale internazionale e svizzera proposti dalla storica rassegna Estival Jazz (11 – 14 luglio) che vedrà ospiti Diodato, Tom Walker, Gary Clark jr., Cory Henry, Bokanté, Gil Evans Remembered, Chiara Dubey, Hiromi’s Sonicwonder.

In una novità assoluta, Blues to Bop entrerà a far parte del Festival, spostandosi da ﬁne agosto al weekend compreso tra il 18 e il 21 luglio, avvalendosi anche di una preziosa collaborazione con LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura che ha portato a inglobare la prestigiosa sede del LAC tra le location del festival, nonché ad includere alcuni concerti blues & world della rassegna LAC en plein air nella programmazione u iciale di Blues to Bop e viceversa. Ricordiamo, oltre

a queste proposte musicali, i concerti di Alborosie & Shengen Clan (15 luglio) e Ludovico Einaudi (16 luglio – già sold out). Spazio inoltre verrà dato alla Swiss Music con numerosi ospiti selezionati dalla direzione artistica nell’arco di tutto il Festival.

Fra i momenti principali ci sarà anche quest’anno il Buskers (24 – 28 luglio) che torna con una nuova edizione che rende omaggio alle prestazioni artistiche di strada.

Fra i numerosi altri eventi nascono quest’anno i Midi Time: un ciclo di 11 intimi incontri che invitano il pubblico a trascorrere una pausa pranzo diversa dal solito per dedicarsi a sé stessi, al dialogo con l’altro e all’approfondimento.

Il festival riserva ampio spazio ai bambini e alle famiglie, con un programma ricco di spettacoli, letture e laboratori creativi. Il Villaggio Family al Palazzo dei Congressi sarà un ambiente di gioco sicuro e accogliente.

Tre progetti di Arte Urbana arricchiranno l’edizione: un murales degli studenti del CSIA presso le ex scuole di Viganello, un intervento artistico di Sten Lex sul muro a pettine che separa il Lido di Lugano da Via Foce, e il progetto Bestiale! in collaborazione con la rassegna ORME...on the road 2024, che presenterà un percorso poetico-performativo del Teatro Danzabile alla scoperta di una selezione di opere di arte urbana legate tra loro da un tratto comune: l’animalità.

Sono diverse anche le “esperienze” per vivere in pienezza l’estate luganese in riva al lago durante il Festival. Dalle suggestive atmosfere di Lugano Marittima, al salotto estivo Park&Read presso il Parco Ciani dove rilassarsi sulle sedie sdraio in compagnia di una buona lettura. Fra le novità invece verranno proposti dei pic nic al Parco Ciani organizzati in collaborazione con Sambì mentre verrà riproposto il container rosso targato Lugano Scintilla, uno spazio d’incontro creativo intergenerazionale che propone ogni giorno atelier creativi, ma anche tanta buona musica, amicizia e leggerezza. I pedalò, i lidi, le piscine, le escursioni e altri eventi estivi completano l’o erta. Durante il festival, ci saranno diversi mercatini sul lungolago e un’area food al Parco Ciani con vari food truck.

La gratuità degli eventi è importante per garantire svago accessibile a tutti, specialmente alle famiglie. Speriamo che cittadini e turisti apprezzino la qualità dell’o erta e che il passaparola attiri nuovi ospiti.

The Lugano LongLake Festival, with its colours and energy, is returning from 11 to 28 July, right in the middle of the Lugano summer. A true urban festival, now in its 14th edition, taking place in some of Lugano’s most beautiful locations, from Parco Ciani and along the lakefront to Piazza Manzoni, Piazza della Riforma and the LAC.

With more than 300 events on the bill, the festival o ers a wide range of experiences, including concerts, family activities, shows, urban art installations, markets, conferences and dancing, where both locals and tourists can have a great time while enjoying urban culture.

The wide programme of events includes concerts with artists from the international and Swiss music scene in the long-established Estival Jazz festival (11 - 14 July), which will feature guests Diodato, Tom Walker, Gary Clark Jr., Cory Henry, Bokanté, Gil Evans Remembered, Chiara Dubey and Hiromi’s Sonicwonder.

Exciting news this year is that Blues to Bop will become part of the Festival, moving from the end of August to the weekend of 18 to 21 July, also taking advantage of a valuable collaboration with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura that has led to the prestigious LAC venue being added to the festival locations, as well as several blues & world concerts in the LAC en plein air festival being included in the ofﬁcial Blues to Bop programme and vice versa. In addition to these musical performances, there will be the concerts by

Alborosie & Shengen Clan (15 July) and Ludovico Einaudi (16 July - already sold out). Visibility will also be given to Swiss Music with numerous guests selected by the artistic management team throughout the Festival.

Not to be missed this year is also the Buskers Festival (24 - 28 July), which is returning with a new edition paying homage to the art of street performance.

Among the numerous other events, this year sees the launch of Midi Time: a series of 11 intimate encounters inviting the public to take a lunch break out of the norm to devote some time to themselves, chat with others and deepen their understanding of a number of subjects.

The festival places considerable importance on children and families, with a programme full of shows, readings and creative workshops. The Family Village at the Palazzo dei Congressi will be a safe and welcoming play area.

Three Urban Art projects will accompany the festival: a mural by CSIA students at the former Viganello schools, a piece of art by Sten Lex along the comb-shaped wall that separates the Lugano Lido from Via Foce, and the Bestiale! project in collaboration with the ORME...on the road 2024 festival, which will present a poetic and performative walk by the Teatro Danzabile to discover a selection of urban art works linked by a common trait: animality.

There will also be various “experiences” to fully enjoy the Lugano summer along the lakeshore during the Festival. From the party atmosphere of Lugano Marittima, to the Park&Read summer lounge in Parco Ciani, where you can relax on deckchairs in the company of a good book. New this year will be the picnics organised in Parco Ciani in collaboration with Sambì ,and the red Lugano Scintilla container will make an appearance once again - an intergenerational creative meeting space o ering creative workshops every day, as well as lots of good music, friendship and fun. The pedalos, lidos, swimming pools, excursions and other summer events complete what the festival has to o er. During the festival, there will be numerous markets along the lakefront and an area with various food trucks in Parco Ciani.

The fact that the events are free is important to ensure accessible entertainment for all, especially families. We hope that locals and tourists appreciate the quality of the events on o er and that word of mouth will attract new visitors.

Estival Jazz è la manifestazione che dagli anni ‘70 porta a Lugano concerti gratuiti di artisti di grande qualità. Nato da un’idea di Jacky Marti e Andreas Wyden, Estival Jazz raccoglie l’eredità del Circolo del jazz di Lugano, che nel 1962 aveva lanciato il primo festival internazionale del jazz in Svizzera. Sin dagli esordi, Estival Jazz ha ospitato artisti di calibro internazionale diventando un appuntamento tradizionale per i luganesi, i ticinesi, e visitatori da tutta Europa.

Estival Jazz is a festival that has been attracting high-quality artists to Lugano since the 1970s. The brainchild of Jacky Marti and Andreas Wyden, Estival Jazz carries on the legacy of the Lugano Jazz Club, which launched the ﬁrst international jazz festival in Switzerland in 1962. Piazza della Riforma e Parco Ciani

Tanti altri concerti verranno organizzati durante il Festival, sia al Parco Ciani che in Piazza della Riforma con artisti di grande richiamo internazionale. Tra gli ospiti il pioniere italiano per eccellenza della musica e cultura reggae, Alborosie & Shengen Clan e lo straordinario pianista e compositore Ludovico Einaudi. Accanto ai grandi ospiti musicali internazionali, anche gli artisti della scena musicale svizzera avranno la possibilità di esibirsi sui palchi allestiti al Boschetto e in Punta Foce. Alcuni tra gli artisti svizzeri che si esibiranno per tutta la durata del LongLake Festival sono stati selezionati tramite bando, mentre altri sono stati invitati dalla direzione artistica che da diversi anni, si impegna per favorire lo scambio, in ambito musicale, tra le diverse regioni linguistiche nazionali.

Many other concerts will be organised during the Festival, both in Parco Ciani and the Piazza della Riforma with internationally-renowned artists. Guests include the Italian pioneer par excellence of reggae music and culture, Alborosie & Shengen Clan, and the extraordinary pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi. Artists from the Swiss music scene will also have the opportunity to perform on the stages set up in the Boschetto and the Punta Foce alongside the great international musical guests. Some of the Swiss artists who will perform throughout the LongLake Festival have been selected through a call for entries, while others have been invited by the artistic management team, which has been committed to promoting the exchange of music between the di erent national linguistic regions for several years.

Blues to Bop è il festival che celebra il blues a Lugano dal 1989. Originato da un precedente evento jazz, o re ogni estate concerti con artisti locali e internazionali nelle piazze della città, con sessioni di approfondimento. Blues to Bop si inserisce quest’anno per la prima volta nel contesto di Lugano LongLake Festival o rendo quattro giorni di musica coinvolgente e incontri di approfondimento culturale con gli artisti, il tutto a ingresso gratuito. Con una selezione accurata di musicisti internazionali, il festival celebra l’universalità del blues, inteso come elemento di unione e di valorizzazione di culture diverse attraverso la musica. La sinergia con LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura aggiunge la prestigiosa sede del LAC tra le location del festival, decisione che simboleggia non solo l’importanza della collaborazione tra le due istituzioni cittadine, ma anche il desiderio comune di celebrare la musica negli scenari più rappresentativi di Lugano.

Blues to Bop is the festival that has been celebrating the blues in Lugano since 1989. Originating from a former jazz event, every summer it o ers concerts with local and international artists in the city’s squares. Blues to Bop will be part of the Lugano LongLake Festival for the ﬁrst time this year, offering four days of captivating music and interesting cultural meetings with the artists, all with free admission. With a hand-picked selection of international musicians, the festival celebrates the universal nature of the blues and how its music can appreciate di erent cultures and unite people. The synergy with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura has led to the prestigious LAC venue being added to the festival locations, a decision that symbolises not only the importance of the collaboration between the two city institutions, but also the common desire to celebrate music in Lugano’s most iconic settings.

Lugano Buskers rende omaggio alle prestazioni artistiche di strada. Seppur essenziali nei mezzi, le performance sono intense e si scatenano nei generi più svariati: concerti, teatro, cabaret, marionette, acrobazie aeree e installazioni estemporanee. Organizzato dall’Associazione Buskers, in collaborazione con la Divisione eventi e congressi della Città di Lugano, la nuova edizione sotto il segno “Vulcano Edition” ospiterà più di 50 artisti tra musicisti, acrobati, attori che si esibiranno per le strade della città, regalando spettacoli imperdibili. Il tutto avverrà simultaneamente in 12 postazioni distribuite sul lungolago, da Piazza Manzoni ﬁno a Punta Foce, che possono essere palchi veri e propri o postazioni create sulla strada attraverso una presa elettrica e una piccola luce per quando scende la sera.

Lugano Buskers pays homage to the art of street performance. Although its means are simple, the performances are intense and unleash a wide variety of genres: concerts, theatre, cabaret, puppets, aerial acrobatics and impromptu installations. Organised by the Buskers Association, in collaboration with the Events and Conventions Division of the City of Lugano, the new edition, which has been named the “Volcano Edition” will host more than 50 artists including musicians, acrobats and actors, who will perform in the streets of the city, offering unmissable shows. All these performances will take place simultaneously in 12 locations along the lakefront, from Piazza Manzoni to Punta Foce, either on real stages or at di erent points created on the street with just an electric socket and a small light for when night falls.

Nel quadro del LongLake Festival, nascono quest’anno i Midi Time: un ciclo di intimi incontri che invitano il pubblico a trascorrere una pausa pranzo diversa dal solito per dedicarsi a sé stessi, al dialogo con l’altro e all’approfondimento. Si tratta di un viaggio di apertura alla scoperta di storie, realtà locali, creatività e introspezione: un invito a prendendosi il tempo per le cose importanti. Gli 11 incontri si svolgono dal 12 al 26 luglio, dal lunedì al venerdì, dalle 12:00 alle 13:00, nella location di Punta Foce. Alle ore 18:00 presso la location del Boschetto, il 19, 21, 22 e 23 luglio ci saranno inoltre 4 momenti importanti in cui la parola sarà protagonista. Saranno diversi gli spettacoli che verranno presentati sul lungolago e che coinvolgeranno il pubblico presente, mentre altri spettacoli teatrali saranno presentati presso il Teatro Foce.

This year sees the launch of Midi Time as part of the LongLake Festival: a series of 11 intimate encounters inviting the public to take a lunch break out of the norm to devote some time to themselves, chat with others and deepen their understanding of a number of subjects. A voyage of openness to discover stories, local realities, creativity and introspection: an invitation to take time for the important things. The 11 meetings will held from 12 to 26 July, Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 13:00, at the Punta Foce. On 19, 21, 22 and 23 July at 18:00 at the Boschetto, there will also be four important occasions where the word will take centre stage. Several shows will be presented along the lakefront that will involve the audience, while other plays will be presented at the Teatro Foce.

Fin dai suoi inizi, il Festival ha sempre riservato una grande attenzione alla programmazione dedicata ai più piccoli e alle famiglie, o rendo un’alternativa valida e stimolante per trascorrere tempo libero di qualità insieme all’aperto durante l’estate.

Il programma, ricco e variegato, comprende una vasta gamma di eventi gratuiti che spaziano dagli spettacoli alle letture, ﬁno ai laboratori creativi. Le attività sono pensate per i bambini da 0 a 12 anni, garantendo divertimento per tutti i gusti. Anche quest’anno, durante il festival, verrà allestito il Villaggio Family, un ambiente di gioco sicuro e accogliente per bambini e famiglie con tanti bellissimi giochi e libri scelti con cura per tutte le età. Situato all’interno del Palazzo dei Congressi e nel giardino adiacente del Parco Ciani, sarà aperto tutti i giorni dalle ore 16:00 alle 21:30. Quest’anno il Villaggio Family ospiterà, per tutto il periodo del Festival, l’esposizione fotograﬁca itinerante a cura di Pro Familia Svizzera Italiana dal titolo ‘Famiglie - esplorando il passato, immaginando il future”.

From the very beginning, the Festival has placed great importance on its programme for children and families, o ering a valid and stimulating alternative for spending quality leisure time together outdoors during the summer.

The rich and varied programme includes a wide range of free events from shows to readings and creative workshops. The activities have been designed for children aged 0 to 12 years old, guaranteeing fun for all tastes. The Family Village, a safe and welcoming play area for children and families, will be set up once again this year during the Festival, with lots of great games and carefully-selected books for all ages. The Village, located inside the Palazzo dei Congressi Convention Centre and in the gardens of the Parco Ciani next door, will be open every day from 16:00 to 21:30. This year, throughout the entire Festival period, the Family Village will host the travelling photograph exhibition by Pro Familia Svizzera Italiana entitled “Families - exploring the past, imagining the future”.

Urban Art è un cantiere di iniziative artistiche che spazia in ambiti sperimentali diversi e mette in relazione i cittadini con il contesto urbano. Per questa edizione saranno tre le proposte artistiche in cantiere: il murales che gli studenti del corso Pittori di scenari del CSIA, con la supervisione dell’artista ticinese Marco Scorti e la guida di Mauro Zanolari, docente responsabile CSIA, realizzeranno presso le ex scuole di Viganello , un importante intervento artistico a cura del famoso duo di artisti italiani Sten Lex, e il progetto Bestiale! Il Teatro Danzabile accompagnerà il pubblico in un percorso poetico-performativo alla scoperta di una selezione di opere di arte urbana legate tra loro da un tratto comune: l’animalità.

Urban Art is a collection of artistic initiatives held in different experimental spaces that puts locals in contact with the urban environment. This year three artistic events are in the pipeline: ﬁrst of all, a mural that the students from the CSIA’s Background Painters course will create at the former Viganello schools, under the supervision of the Ticino artist Marco Scorti and the guidance of the CSIA teacher in charge of the project Mauro Zanolari; secondly a major piece of artwork by the famous Italian artist duo Sten Lex; and thirdly, the Bestiale! project. Durante tutto il Festival in programma diversi appuntamenti per gli appassionati dei balli latino-americani a Rivetta Tell. Sono previsti inoltre delle serate Swing, Boogie, Tango e Milonga.

Yuri Catania’s street art plunges into the depths of the Lugano lake and the adventure continues with an underwater voyage made up of astronaut mermaids and local ﬁsh in a kind of overlap between what is on and what is below the surface. Il progetto, promosso da Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi (TPL) con il Centro Scolastico per le Industrie Artistiche (CSIA) e Arte Urbana Lugano (AUL), sensibilizza sull’importanza dei mezzi pubblici per lo sviluppo sostenibile.

Gli studenti del corso Pittore di scenari del CSIA, guidati dall’artista ticinese Marco Scorti e dal docente Mauro Zanolari, hanno realizzato l’intervento.

The project, promoted by Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi (TPL) in collaboration with the Centro Scolastico per le Industrie Artistiche (CSIA) and Arte Urbana Lugano (AUL), aims to raise awareness about the importance of public transport for sustainable development. The intervention was carried out by students of the CSIA’s Scenic Painting course, under the supervision of Ticinese artist Marco Scorti and guided by CSIA teacher Mauro Zanolari.

The Curumins Ensemble is composed of young talents from the outskirts of São Paulo, who have found a powerful tool for social liberation in music. Their repertoire draws inspiration from the rich and varied tradition of Brazilian folk music, a fascinating world of rhythms, styles and inﬂuences that reﬂect Brazil’s vibrant cultural complexity.

Sempre pronti a soccorrere i passanti. Questi enormi personaggi dei cartoni animati utilizzano trampoli powerskip che consentono loro di saltare e rimbalzare ﬁno a 2 metri d’altezza mentre sorvegliano le strade.

Always ready to rescue passers-by. These huge cartoon characters use powerskip stilts that allow them to jump and bounce up to 2 metres high while they patrol the streets.

Boschetto - Parco Ciani

Cantautore intenso e ricercato tra i più apprezzati del nuovo pop italiano con quattro album all’attivo. Progetto di Pete Levin, ex membro della celebre Gil Evans Orchestra, attiva negli anni ‘70 e ‘80. Qualche anno fa Pete ha riunito un gruppo di ex allievi della band, con cui ha suonato in un grande locale di New York. Così è nato Gil Evans Remembered, ricordando gli anni in cui la band suonava ogni lunedì sera allo Sweet Basil Jazz Club di New York e vinceva i Grammy per gli album “Plays The Music of Jimi Hendrix” e “Live At Sweet Basil”.

Project by Pete Levin, former member of the well-known Gil Evans Orchestra, popular in the 1970s and 80s. A few years ago Pete reunited with a group of former members of the band that he had played with in a renowned New York club. And that is how Gil Evans Remembered was formed, recalling the years when the band played every Monday night at the Sweet Basil Jazz Club in New York and won Grammys for the albums “Plays The Music of Jimi Hendrix” and “Live At Sweet Basil”.

Il duo di artisti italiani Sten Lex realizzerà un intervento artistico sul muro a pettine che separa il Lido di Lugano da Via Foce. L’opera è un’astrazione geografica, una composizione che rimodula i confini geografici e ne crea di nuovi; il murales riprende sia la cartografia e sia il concetto di spartito e di componimento musicale, sottolineando nel contempo la cadenza ritmica dei pilastri stessi.

The Italian artist duo, Sten Lex, will create a piece of art on the comb-shaped wall that separates the Lugano Lido from Via Foce. The work is a geographic abstraction, a composition that reshapes geographical borders and creates new ones. The mural echoes both the cartography and the concept of the musical score and composition, while highlighting the rhythmic cadence of the pillars themselves.

Any Other is a project by Adele Altro, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer with a spontaneous indie-rock sound and DIY attitude. With two albums under her belt, Adele writes, sings, plays, produces and arranges all of their songs, developing a mature aesthetic ﬁlled with jazz and orchestral arrangements.

Duo formatosi nel febbraio 2023 dall’incontro di Bad Honko e Nino Farini. Con una strumentazione che va dai tamburi distorti, strumenti autocostruiti e sintetizzatori, spaziano da sonorità tribali ipnotiche, elettro punk e drone; unendo psichedelia e techno eseguono un set strumentale dove può sembrare di essere dentro un ﬁlm di John Carpenter.

Duo formed in February 2023 when Bad Honko and Nino Farini met. Instruments ranging from distorted drums, home-made instruments and synthesisers produce hypnotic tribal, electro punk and drone sounds. Combining psychedelia and techno, they perform an instrumental set that at times make you feel like you are in a John Carpenter ﬁlm.

Sei acrobati che si trovano su un campo di gioco e decidono di giocare con ciò che li circonda, spesso orientandosi verso il rischio. Bal Trap è uno spettacolo di precisione basato su lanci e propulsioni, pensato come un balletto di corpi e oggetti a ilati.

Six acrobats, who ﬁnd themselves on a playing ﬁeld, decide to play with their surroundings, often taking risks. Bal Trap is a precision show, where bodies are thrown around and propelled in every direction, designed as a ballet of bodies and sharp objects.

Anissa and Robin have been going strong since 2017, driven by lightning and passion! Their music is pop-free and punk at heart at the same time. 2023 marks their comeback, full of drum machines, digital saxophones (or otherwise), damaged basses and guitars.

Da una piccola cittadina del Mantovano alla trasmissione sulla BBC di Iggy Pop: questa è la favola che stanno scrivendo i Bee Bee Sea. Wilson Wilson, Giacomo Parisio e Andrea Onofrio, raccontano la noia della vita di provincia, sentirsi bloccati, essere al verde. C’è tutto questo nella loro musica. Eppure nulla di tutto ciò ha impedito al trio mantovano di girare l’Italia e il mondo, accrescendo la reputazione di live band pazzesca e incendiaria.

From a small town in the Mantua region to the BBC broadcast of Iggy Pop: this is the fairytale that Bee Bee Sea are writing. Wilson Wilson, Giacomo Parisio and Andrea Onofrio, talk about the boredom of small town life, feeling stuck and being broke. All of this is in their music. Yet none of this has stopped the Mantuan trio from touring Italy and the world, enhancing their reputation as a crazy, incendiary live band.

Artista dal sottile senso dell’umorismo, incarna un po’ di teatro dell’inquietudine con una voce non convenzionale.

Delaney Davidson, a singer-songwriter, musician and visual artist, has forged his identity on the European touring circuit and has been an important member of Switzerland’s Voodoo Rhythm family since 2003. An artist with a subtle sense of humour, he embodies a little of the theatre of the uncanny with an unconventional voice.

A musician in several bands, including The D4 and A Place To Bury Strangers, in 2017 he recorded a solo album entitled “Dion Lunadon”, which encapsulates everything he loves about rock and roll. In June 2021 Lunadon decided to form a band to bring his songs to life.

DJ Marcelle, attiva da più tempo di quanto molti siano in vita, è un’amatissima DJ nei Paesi Bassi. Attore siciliano con inﬂuenze Urban, Black e Hip Hop, Gonzalo è supportato da centinaia di fratelli e sorelle sparsi per il globo per creare un prodotto sonoro, visivo e performativo unico.

The project was created during lockdown when a group of friends set up a Whatsapp group to play around with Battle Freestyle and themed lyrics. Sebastiano Sicurezza, aka Gonzalo Baby Boy, emerges as the group's only talent. A Sicilian actor with Urban, Black and Hip Hop inﬂuences, Gonzalo is supported by hundreds of brothers and sisters around the globe and has created a unique sound, visual show and performance.

Mina and Bryte met for the ﬁrst time in Accra Ghana, in 2017 and hit it o straight away thanks to their shared passion for club music. Since then they have released several singles and their joint debut EP "Abeka Bugatti" was released in 2021. The duo perform regularly in international festivals.

Da 3 anni Skinny, Sboo e Kinder cercano di trovare una quadra a tutto questo ambiguo disagio universale.

In the hypocrisy of everyday life, a conﬂictual relationship is born. It is the ego that condemns itself for being too conspicuous and the conscience that turns a blind eye to make these theatrical images pass quickly. For three years, Skinny, Sboo and Kinder have been trying to ﬁnd a solution to this ambiguous universal malaise.

Sleep e leap: dormire e saltare. Due verbi diametralmente opposti tra loro, una tensione lunatica che rappresenta perfettamente l’anima del progetto. Il pianoforte da bambina l’ha portata ad amare la chitarra e il basso da adolescente, e questi hanno calmato le tempeste che si scatenavano nella sua testa. È così che nel 2018 è nata Sleap-e, progetto dal sound inedito di Asia Martina Morabito.

Sleep and leap. Two verbs that are polar opposites to one another, a moody tension that perfectly represents the soul of this project. The piano led her to love guitar as a child and bass as a teenager, and these calmed the storms that were brewing in her head. This is how Sleap-e, Asia Martina Morabito’s unreleased sound project, was created in 2018.

The Jungle Jazz Band is a traditional jazz band formed by six young international musicians based in Berlin. In centro città troviamo il Lido di Lugano e la Piscina coperta; nel periodo balneare è possibile recarsi al Lido Riva Caccia che poggia su una piattaforma galleggiante, al Lido San Domenico sul sentiero di Gandria e alla piscina di Carona immersa nel verde.

Sambì, in collaboration with LongLake Festival, presents the “Picnics at Ciani”. You can pick up a Picnic Mystery Box at the Darsena oBoathouse in the Parco Ciani in Lugano from 18:00. The boxes, prepared by Ticino chefs with local ingredients, include a Sambì or an Olivone herbal tea, a gadget and a tablecloth (to be returned). You can buy organic and locally-produced wine from the Azienda Agricola Bianchi, Sambì and some other non-alcoholic drinks from Ticino. To take part, you need to book, indicating whether you want the Vegetarian or Omnivore Mystery Box, plus any allergies. Un contesto particolarmente suggestivo e intimo per potersi godere gli eventi del Festival completamente immersi nella natura. Il palco del Boschetto, situato all’interno del Parco Ciani di Lugano, ospita numerosi concerti, spettacoli e talks.

A particularly picturesque and intimate setting for enjoying the Festival events completely surrounded by nature. The Boschetto stage, located in Lugano’s Parco Ciani, hosts numerous concerts, shows and talks.

Palazzo dei Congressi

Durante il LongLake Festival, la hall del centro congressuale della città cambia volto, ospitando il magico mondo del Family. Un piccolo villaggio interamente dedicato alle famiglie e ai più piccoli, animato per un mese con letture di ﬁabe, teatri, cinema, spettacoli e tanti laboratori.

During the LongLake Festival, the hall of the city’s convention centre takes on a new look, hosting the magical world of the Family Village, which is entirely dedicated to families and children, providing entertainment for an entire month with fairy tale readings, theatre, cinema, shows and many workshops.

Rivetta Tell

Con l’arrivo dell’estate questa piazzetta, che deve il nome alla statua di Guglielmo Tell di Vincenzo Vela, si anima di servizi, iniziative ed eventi. È possibile a ittare pedalò e motoscaﬁ, oppure gustarsi un buon gelato artigianale presso il chiosco “Chez Guglielm”. Durante il LongLake Festival la piccola piazza ospita concerti, spettacoli e diversi appuntamenti dedicati al ballo.

With the arrival of summer, this small square, named after the William Tell statue by Vincenzo Vela, comes alive with services, initiatives and events. Here you can rent pedalos and motorboats, or enjoy a delicious homemade ice cream at the “Chez Guglielm” kiosk. During the LongLake Festival, the small square hosts concerts, shows and various dance events.

Teatro e Studio FOCE

Con un teatro e una sala concerti, il FOCE è un piccolo polo culturale che nel corso dell’anno intrattiene il suo pubblico con più di 200 eventi. Il cartellone o re un’ampia proposta musicale e teatrale e propone anche appuntamenti con il cinema, la danza e gli incontri. Al suo interno ospita inoltre l’Agorateca, una biblio-mediateca dove sono presenti e disponibili al prestito migliaia di titoli di dvd, cd musicali, libri e VHS. Nel periodo estivo, il FOCE non interrompe la sua attività, ma diventa venue ufﬁciale del LongLake accogliendo alcuni concerti, spettacoli teatrali e after party.

With its theatre and concert hall, the FOCE is a small cultural centre that entertains its audiences with more than 200 events throughout the year. Its programme o ers a wide range of music and theatre events, as well as cinema, dance shows and meetings. It also houses the Agorateca, a book and multimedia library where you can ﬁnd and borrow thousands of DVDs, music CDs, books and VHS. In the summer, the FOCE does not close its doors, but becomes an o icial venue of the LongLake Festival, hosting a number of concerts, theatre performances and after parties.

Piazza Manzoni e Piazza della Riforma

Centro nevralgico della Città di Lugano, a due passi dal lago e contornate da ediﬁci storici, le due piazze adiacenti sono lo scenario perfetto per i grandi eventi. Piazza della Riforma è da sempre la casa di Estival Jazz e Blues to Bop, mentre Piazza Manzoni accoglie il palco principale del Buskers.

The nerve centre of the City of Lugano, a stone’s throw from the lake and surrounded by historic buildings, the two adjacent squares are the perfect setting for major events. Piazza della Riforma has always been the home of Estival Jazz and Blues to Bop, while Piazza Manzoni hosts the main stage of the Buskers Festival.

Punta Foce

La sua bellezza paesaggistica la rende il “palcoscenico” ideale per godersi gli eventi nell’abbraccio della natura circostante. Questo scenario bucolico fa da cornice ad alcune performance del Buskers, ai concerti e alle conferenze del mezzogiorno.

The beautiful landscape makes Punta Foce the ideal “stage” for enjoying events while surrounded by nature. This idyllic setting is the backdrop for several Buskers’ performances, as well as concerts and midday lectures.

Darsena e Park&ReadParco Ciani

“Incastonata” sulla sponda del Ceresio, al centro del Parco Ciani si trova la darsena, una costruzione ispirata ai cottage inglesi con elementi dell’architettura ottomana. Punto strategico del Festival, la Darsena è sede anche del Park&Read, il salotto estivo per gli amanti della lettura e della natura. A disposizione del pubblico ci sono tavolini, sedie e sdraio, e un punto ristoro. Durante il Festival accoglie numerosi eventi, dalle performance di buskers alle conferenze.

“Nestled” on the shore of Lake Lugano, in the centre of Parco Ciani you will ﬁnd the Darsena boathouse, a building inspired by English cottages with a hint of Ottoman architecture. Strategic point of the Festival, the Darsena also hosts Park&Read, the summer living-room for bookworms and nature lovers. Tables, chairs and loungers and a snack bar are available to the public. During the Festival it hosts numerous events, from Busker performances to lectures.

La passeggiata luganese per eccellenza si può assaporare in tutta tranquillità grazie alle chiusure al tra ico previste ogni giovedì, venerdì e sabato. Durante il Festival, il lungolago accoglie numerosi mercatini, spettacoli e le performance degli artisti di strada che coinvolgeranno il pubblico presente.

Lugano’s promenade par excellence can be enjoyed in peace and quiet thanks to the tra ic closures every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. During the Festival, the lakeside promenade hosts various markets, shows and performances by street artists involving the public.

Il palco Fleur, nel cuore del Parco Ciani, è un punto centrale del festival. Questo spazio incantevole accoglie una varietà di proposte e spettacoli dedicati ai bambini, creando un’atmosfera magica e coinvolgente. Il palco Fleur ospita anche deliziosi concertini e spettacoli busker, o rendo intrattenimento per tutte le età.

All’interno del Parco Ciani saranno presenti dei food truck che servono cibo e bevande. Per i metodi di pagamento accettati veriﬁcare con i rispettivi food truck presenti in loco. A pochi metri dal Parco Ciani, alla Foce del ﬁume Cassarate, Lugano Marittima propone una o erta di cibo e bevande; i pagamenti possono essere e ettuati tramite carta, Twint, contante e LVGA. All’interno del Parco Ciani si trovano diverse fontane di acqua potabile.

There will be food trucks in the Parco Ciani serving food and drinks. For accepted payment methods, please check with the respective food trucks on site. The Lugano Marittima, just a few metres from Parco Ciani, at the mouth of the Cassarate River, also o ers a variety of food and drinks. Payments can be made with card, cash or via Twint and LVGA. There are several drinking water fountains in the Parco Ciani.
