Genes take part in whether or not we develop a mental illness
Problems with communication between neurones
With depression the brain has high levels of cortisol and low levels of serotonin
The processes and techniques that I use to produce the work that I do is very simplistic as I use abstract style and it is a way to symbolise my subtheme, mental health, which is very complex.
What I do is to try to show and express and make people aware that mental illness can be
Triggered by multiple reasons and how it feels to be in a constant fight with yourself and how tiring it can be. To have depression, something that I mostly focus on, is something that can affect all ages, but it mostly affect young people. This can be caused by stress given by the school or problems as well at school or home. Mental health is also something that a lot of young people tell their parents or guardians, but they might think that they are just weak minded, so a lot of young people prefer to not say anything as they feel like they will be judged by adults. In conclusion my sub-theme is actually more complex but the way that I present my outcomes will appear more simple.
