FASHION RETAIL BY LUISA HURTADO

BRIEF With this project I intend to give people an enjoyable experience of shopping not only for adult but to children as well, because most shops might not think how boring shopping would be for the little ones and not care about how parent can struggle when their kids start crying or run away because they are bored. I also want people to be amazed by the way the shop is on the inside and outside by giving inside a different look from other shops, so I want it to stand out from what people would think a shop should look like

SPECIFICATION • It would have 2 floors, one for male and female, children, vending machines and a zone to crate/style your own clothes on the first floor. • Big windows to reduce the use of electricity and use more natural light. • Available to everyone including people with disabilities. • It would have a slide, so people have a funny way to get down to the first floor.

Louis Vuitton: London

•This was designed by Peter Marino, he used work from Tracy Emin and the Capana brothers to create the interior of the shop

House of Dior : Soul, South Korea

•Designed by Christian de Portzamparc. A French architect born in Casablanca, Morocco. • The entrance reminds me of the petals of a flower. The Colorado columbine

I'll add a second floor, do some changes how the place is arranged and it will be used for my final model

Final model First floor

Second floor

Final model made with sketch up The outside of the first floor some photos from different perspective of the building.

The wall in he entrance are white on purpose because it would like it to be decorated with the drawings of the costumers with makers. The furniture give the inside of the shop a really colourful look as they have bright colours, so it doesn’t look boring for the eyes

The mirrors behind the slide are actually not to only to look if the clothes fits you but also to make your own outfit with clothes designed by yourself, this allows adults and children to develop imagination and explore with clothes

The slide is for people to have a fun time going down to the first floor or the exit

Second floor perspective views

The playground is for the children to have fun after the adults finish shopping, it has some seats for people to rest and behind those seats there are some vending machines sealing drinks and snacks if they are hungry or if the children are thirsty The big window will give the room more natural light and the building will save more electricity
