MAUSOLEUM The project is a conceptual proposal for a mausoleum dedicated to the plastic artist Rangel Hidalgo, originally from Comala, Colima. Comala, Colima. México.
The mausoleum would be located on a plot of land facing a lagoon in the municipality of Comala, Colima, near the Volc·n de Colima. The concept of the design is based on the idea of the window as a symbol of memory and creativity. The mausoleum would have two main volumes: one oriented towards the lagoon, where the artist used to spend time with his family and where his most representative works and remains would be displayed; and another oriented towards the sky, in homage to his artistic and cultural legacy. The design would incorporate architectural elementsinspiredbythestylized windowsthattheartistdepicted in his works and that are characteristic of the traditional architecture of Comala.
LOOKOUT MUSEUM
The project is a conceptual proposal for a lookout-museum in a private bay of Manzanillo, Colima. The bay has a great biodiversity of fish and seabirds Manzanillo, Colima. México.
as well as being the home of one of the largest ports in the Mexican Republic. The concept ofthe design isbased onthe idea of seabirds as a symbol of the nature and culture of the region. The lookout-museum would have an organic shape that would evoke the flight of birds over the sea. The project would incorporate a museum space where visitors could appreciate the beauty of the landscape and learn more about the biodiversity and development of the bay as a port.
CAFE
The project consists of designing and building a cafeteria inside a shoppingmallinColima.Thestate of Colima is nationally Colima, Colima. México. recognized for the quality of the coffee it produces, therefore the goal of the business is to offer the tasting of local coffee accompanied by gourmet food. Being located in a place with high visibility such as a shopping mall, it is proposed to offer customers the possibility of enjoying the products individually or accompanied by some privacy among diners. For this purpose, a distribution of small groups of tables separated by height differences is created. Thus the ground floor is divided into three levels and the upper floor into one level, for those who want to go in groups and enjoy coffee in an environment full of natural elements such as plants and wood finishes that elegantly contrast with metallic textures.
URBANIZATION PROJECT
The project consists of designing and building a subdivision in the city of Colima. The rapid population growth in the city has pushed investors to develop new urban projects. Villa de Álvarez Colima. México.
Thisrepresentsagrowthofthecitythatinmostcasestranslates into an increase in the cost of services and a greater environmental impact. As a design strategy, a subdivision is proposed that takes advantage of the maximum population density allowed by state laws. Therefore the project includes a diversity of housing typologies ranging from single-family housing, duplexes, to lots for vertical multifamily housing. All encouraging the use of bicycles through a network of bike paths that connects the subdivision and connects with other bike path networks. In addition, public spaces ceded by the developer are contemplated where the activities that are carried out will depend on the inhabitants in order to give greater identity to the subdivision.
