Size - 3,000sqft Value - ÂŁ85k Recent expansion created the need for further workspace in their existing office, along with new meeting rooms and a functional breakout area to replace the dated canteen.

CNS Media Spire walk business park, Chesterfield

Size - 3,500sqft Value - ÂŁ45k This fast expanding team required a new, larger space with capacity for further growth. By installing 17m length of glass partitioning to the space, we created management offices and a large boardroom, whilst preserving the bright open feeling the client wanted. Bright branding colours added vibrancy and character to the office, without driving the costs up.

EATON MEDC Sutton-in-ashfield

Size - 700sqft Value - ÂŁ28k Boardroom space which had a very dated look, and needed to be an impressive high-spec room to bring potential clients in for meetings & presentations. The proposal also needed to be flexible, to cater for smaller meeting groups as well as larger functions. The showroom next door had modern finishes, and the client wanted the same feeling to carry on into this space.

University of Nottingham Business school foyer, Jubilee campus Size - 7,500 sq-ft Value - £18K With so much natural light flooding the space, the client wanted to maintain the airy feeling of the foyer, whilst creating a multi-functional area for various different users. Zones were created by using a clever carpet layout which identified individual areas throughout the large open plan space, along with strategical furniture positioning. Furniture procurement had been done by others, so the proposal had to work with the selected fabrics to ensure the scheme came together as one.

PRESS RELEASE: Taking inspiration from the tranquil surroundings of the Jubilee Campus where the School is sited, the University wanted to create a stylish foyer that put students in the right frame of mind for lectures. A defined pathway bisects all of the distinct zones to draw visitors from the building’s doorway to the auditorium. Luiza da Silva, Interior Designer that led the renovation, explained: “The University wanted to find a way of bringing a more homely, calming feel to the straight lines and muted tones of the space’s business-like interior. We turned to Interface to help us create the perfect flooring scheme for the lobby." "To achieve the University’s goal, we felt it was crucial to tap into the current trend for bringing the kind of artisanal fabrics and materials normally found in the domestic environment into public spaces.”

Concept Design Private Client, UK

Grenade

Size - 18,000sqft Value - ÂŁ980k Initial concept proposal for the new headquarters of a large UK firm. The client wanted something exciting, bold, and unprecedented features to make them stand out in their new purpose-built premises. The proposal included a full space plan, external design and modular internal concepts.

Using the company’s punchy branding, the design was based on a "Stealth" concept and included a gym, climbing wall, bar, converted truck, as well a all regular office requirements.

Size - 80k-100k sq-ft Value - Approx. ÂŁ1.1m Feasibility study produced for Hydro's UK headquarters. They were surpassing capacity in their existing warehouse and required help putting forward a proposal document to their board of directors in order to obtain a purposebuilt space for them to grow into.

Kongsberg Automotive Burton Upon Trent, Nottingham

Size - 5,300 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ60K The UK headquarters were taking on a new premises which would be given to them at CatA level, and they wanted to use the opportunity to refresh their workplace culture to include some hot desking areas, various meeting spaces, and a designated breakout area. Whilst they were required to re-use their existing desks, the proposal included new soft furnishings, feature wall-coverings and a contrasting flooring design to add some vibrancy to the space without driving the costs over-budget.

Trent College Long Eaton, Nottingham

Size - 4,500 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ100K The client needed a full specification and procurement of suitable FF&E to suit the architect's overall colour scheme. The deadline was extremely tight as the refurbishment needed to take place during the summer holidays and was due to be completed one week before the students started back in September.

The outcome was a fun, vibrant yet practical and hard-wearing space for students to use for private study, collaborative working and meetings.

Nasmyth Group Bulwell branch, Nottingham

Size - 220 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ15K Nasmyth's Bulwell branch had a very dated reception area required a space that would give clients a great first impression upon arrival. The proposal included glass partitioning to prevent visitors from going upstairs, without loosing any natural light in reception. A large moss wall installation added a contemporary touch, and hard-wearing vinyl plank flooring created a long-lasting modern feature for the high-traffic area.

Retail Assist Friar lane, Nottingham city centre Size - 7,500 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ90K Nottingham based office was rapidly expanding, and acquired further areas within the building, which required future-proofing for additional staff members. There was a large amount of existing furniture to be kept, so I proposed to inject colour through an exciting floor design, and replacing the desk screens to match. A brand new kitchen area was installed, with a modern grey finish and LVT plank design on the floor for durability.

Careful planning and programming was required on this job, as the clients office was operational 24/7, which only allowed for specific out-of-hours windows where the refurbishment could take place.

Learning Pool The Birkin Building, Nottingham lace market

Size - 7,000 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ200K Working for both the landlord of the listed building, as well as the proposed new tenant, a carefully balanced design proposal was needed to ensure all parties were catered fore, whilst minimising costs across the project. By keeping as many of the original features as possible, the quirky design would appeal to a range of modern companies in the city centre, as well as showcasing little glimpses of what was once there. The bar, DJ booth, built in seating and split levels were all refurbished to suit the new requirements. Learning Pool wanted enough space to allow for expanding the team, as well as functional designated areas for different tasks.

Size - 900sqft Value - ÂŁ30k This first floor area at the Thrapston branch was being poorly used, whilst the office next door was desperate for more space and further meeting areas. High-spec furniture was proposed for longevity, as well as integrated storage walls, informal meeting booth and a private meeting room, which created a much better use of space.

Size - 1,300sqft Value - ÂŁ20k Ground floor office space also at the Thrapston branch required new matching furniture to other areas, and a general refresh. The proposal included a new tea point, informal touch-down areas, and flooring which designated the main thorough-fair.

SF Recruitment Millennium way west, Nottingham

Size - 340 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ14K This client wanted to provide a space to incentivize their workforce to get away from their desks during breaks and have a sociable space to enjoy. The space needed to include their recent 'bamboo' rebranding, as well as a multifunctional table that could be used for informal meetings if needed. Our proposal featured modern pendant lights to highlight the new areas, and an integrated drinks fridge under the island unit.

Butler + + Willow Long Eaton, Nottingham

Size - 2,800 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ11K In order to keep their showroom looking current, the client wanted an exciting carpet design to zone the various areas of the open plan office. The scheme included nearly 30 different tiles, which would enable them to show clients the various types of flooring they could provide. A new collaboration table went in the centre of the space, which also provided an informal space to display a collection of different sample chairs.

SMS Electronics Beeston, Nottingham

Size - 1,600 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ83K The brief outlined the necessity for a sound-proof room with minimal reverberations to act as a showroom for high-end sound systems. A detailed specification was put together for achieving this. Alongside the demo room, the large open plan area needed to be a multi-purpose space including various informal meeting spaces, unmanned reception, and breakout area. Clever flooring layout created these zones, whilst a large wall graphic added some tranquillity to the space. The proposal also included a large boardroom, housing modular furniture to be reconfigured as needed.

Liaison Group Pride park, Derby

Size - 2000 sq-ft Value - ÂŁ10K This office had plenty of space to work with, but was poorly utilised and was very clinical in its appearance, despite the bright colours of its branding. With minimal budget available, the client wanted to create designated social spaces within his open plan office, de-clutter the desks with some additional storage, and add some life to these areas to clearly differentiate working zones from breakout zones. Using different tones of the brand colours, the concept included clever use of decoration, a few bright elements of soft furnishings and subtle space dividers.
