Layout: The villa located on Ialomicioarei Street is a two stories structure that grew over time. The oldest part of the building, a brick structure dating back from the 40’s, includes two rooms situated two steps higher than the rest of the ground floor. However, before the GoW intervention, room 5 functioned poorly as a kitchen (with no sink) and the room 6 served as a passing space to the other parts of the building, owned by the same landlord. The intervention proposed changing the layout. A separate access was designed for each of the two rooms, the old kitchen became a new office/meeting room and the bigger room became a kitchen/dining area that opens towards the event room. The new translucent glass doors bring more daylight inside the two rooms.
