H I S TO R I C AT T R AC T I O N S

We started a revolution right here in the Hudson Valley. From battlegrounds and West Point to the Great Estates and manor houses of the landed gentry, there are countless ways to experience how Americans lived here over the centuries.

T H E A RTS

Paintings of the Hudson Valley hang in museums all over the world, a product of the 1800’s Hudson River School of painters. This art movement, the first in America, lives on in galleries and art institutions of international fame found throughout the region. The Hudson Valley is also home to a vast number of artists and artisans who find inspiration in the area’s beauty.

W I N E R I E S & FA R M S

The Hudson Valley was the first wine region in the U.S., started by vintners from Europe who found a climate similar to their homelands. Rich soil and favorable growing conditions also produce an abundance of fruits and vegetables sold at farm markets throughout the area. Taste the wine at our wineries and fill a market basket with some of the freshest produce and farm products you’ll ever find.

Follow the river

YO U ’ R E A B O U T TO E M B A R K on an adventure along

one of the most scenic rivers in America. Come see where the history of the United States began, where the first wine region was established, and the first regional art movement started with the Hudson Valley School of painters. It’s a region full of surprises.

M E E T I N G S A N D CO N V E N T I O N S

Small business gatherings and large conventions can find a wide range of meeting options throughout the Hudson Valley. From boutique hotels to major convention properties and resorts, bring your group to our unique spaces. We provide a level of service that has brought repeat business throughout the years.

Surround yourself with the scenic beauty of the Hudson Valley. Hundreds of miles of trails, thousands of feet of fairways and numerous lakes and streams to paddle are all part of our landscape. Four seasons of fresh air and fun offer countless opportunities for recreation throughout the region.

Kids will never run out of things to do here. Amusement parks, zoos, snow tubing, nature centers, fairs and festivals are just the start. Take them ice skating, roller skating or to a children’s theater production. Events just for kids happen every weekend, making it easy to entertain both toddlers and teenagers. (Not to mention the parents!).

Take a bus, take a plane, ride a bike, board a train, just come back to us! We’re easy to reach with a network of Interstates, as well as train lines and buses that will take you into and out of Manhattan.

SHOPPING & ANTIQUES

The Valley is chock full of craft shops, designer outlets, gift galleries and stores carrying vintage decorative items. We have villages devoted just to crafts and others full of antique stores for days filled with destination shopping. Our designer outlets are world renowned and people flock to our boutiques and shops found within the charming Hudson River villages.
