Dear Luminox-Friends,
Providing unmatched nighttime visibility for up to 25 years, with no additional charge needed, significantly sets Luminox apart from other watch brands. For this reason, Luminox has been the watch of choice for sports lovers, adventurists, first responders, and the military worldwide for more than 35 years. Our robust design, due to our innovative materials like CARBONOX™ and CARBONOX™+, combined with our cutting-edge illumination, makes Luminox the qualitative, durable choice.
We are proud and honored to be selected to design and supply watches for one of the most elite and respected Special Forces in the world, the US Navy SEALs. Our collaboration goes back to 1994 when we worked together with Nick North, the Assistant Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Officer to develop a watch specifically for the SEALs.
Continuous improvement and innovation ensure that our watches have exactly those functionalities that our fans worldwide would appreciate most. From using the finest lighting technology on our dials, hands and bezels, to the strongest, lightest materials for our watch cases, a Luminox watch is designed and built for those who operate or explore in most extreme environments. We are bringing new materials and technology to our watches which we can’t wait to share with you all.
Not only do we create watches with great passion, but we are also proud to be part of the Mondaine Group Ltd, presumably the first watch group worldwide to be comprehensively CO2 neutral on scope 1,2 and 3 of the GHG protocol. The Greenhouse Gas Protocol provides standards and tools that help companies, countries and cities track progress toward climate goals and is the most used standard for greenhouse emission accounting and management. We will continuously strive to improve ourselves also in this area.

30 year anniversary of the partnership with the Navy SEALs.
Switzerland is the beating heart of the global watch industry. The history, the expertise, its reliability and the craftsmanship is unique. When walking through the small Swiss towns that are home to many production and assembly sites of the world’s most renowned watch brands, you will realize how embedded watch making is in the culture of Switzerland; some families work for several generations in the watch industry. It is a passion, a dedication, for life, and you see that in the quality and design of Swiss watches.
Luminox is therefore extremely proud to be Swiss Made. But what does this mean? A watch brand can claim to be Swiss Made when at least 60% of the manufacturing costs and the essential manufacturing of the watch head (so excluding the strap) occurs in Switzerland.
Situated in Solothurn, in the heart of Switzerland, the Luminox watch comes alive with the greatest care and precision including thorough testing of the LLT’s (Luminox Light Technology) on the watch (which ensures night visibility for up to 25 years), water resistance, and in the case of the automatic watches, also the automatic movement is checked. The factory is solar powered: up to 80% of annual needs of energy is provided through 800m2 of solar collectors on the roof, producing green electricity for the manufacturing of Mondaine Watch Ltd.

Luminox watches glow up to 25 years in any light condition – ALWAYS VISIBLE!
The Luminox Light Technology (LLT) provides unmatched night visibility through a self-powered illumination system that lasts up to 25 years. Each Luminox watch features micro gas lights (borosilicate glass capsules), which are always lit, on the hands, hour markers and, when necessary, on the bezels.
How is it different from other watch brands?
Super-LumiNova ®, the most commonly used luminosity system, has to be exposed to a light source (natural or artificial) to get charged and then it will hold the luminosity for a limited time depending on the quality of the material.
Luminox watches with the LLT’s (activated luminosity) need no external light source to “charge” the paint on the dial or hands in order to glow. They neither require a push of a button to light the dial as do watches with electro luminescence, and therefore Luminox watches do not consume any battery power. These are the main advantages of the LLT’s.

Luminox uses an innovative carbon compound material – CARBONOX ™ – for its ultra-lightweight watches. CARBONOX ™ is six times lighter than steel, three times lighter than titanium, non-metallic, anti-allergenic and anti-magnetic. CARBONOX ™ has strong chemical resistance, very low thermal extension, low heat expansion and is weatherproof – creating a very rigid and hard finished watch case that takes ruggedness and durability to a whole new level.
CARBONOX ™ + is a high performance carbon long bar compound, in which carbon fibers count for 40% of the compound. In addition to the many consumer benefits already provided by CARBONOX ™ , CARBONOX ™ + also delivers an ultra-strong watch case. That’s thanks to the rigidity of the carbon fibers, tensile strength, which is twice as high as with CARBONOX ™ , while water absorption is three times lower. CARBONOX ™ + imparts a very modern and distinctive gray colour to the Luminox watches.
Our sapphire crystal glass is scratch resistant with anti-reflective coatings for superior readability at all times. Our mineral crystals are specially hardened (550 to 650 Vickers), approximately 20% harder than conventional mineral crystals.
Luminox uses titanium because it’s extremely strong and durable in relation to its weight. Titanium is used in our Military Spec (MIL-SPEC) and DEEP DIVE series, as it’s probably the most durable and strong material available, making it perform at a very high level in all conditions.
Luminox uses high grade 316L stainless steel which has superior strength. 316L steel is also more scratch resistant and will not oxidize, rust or change color.
A material that is used as standard practice for quality dive watches. Luminox primarily uses ceramic as bezel ring inserts because it provides a high quality finish to the watch (it stays like new for a life time), it’s super scratch resistant and has a high level of water resistance.
A new aluminum material used in our watches for its extreme lightweight feel and adaptability benefits. ALUMI-NOX can be produced in a large range of colors making it ideal for watch design. It is extremely lightweight which is ideal for adventurers and explorers in the field for long periods of time. It’s also anti-corrosive making it highly resistant to water.
#tide ocean material is made from 100% ocean-bound plastic, developed in partnership with Swiss scientists. Partnering with #TIDE is another step in the sustainable direction for Luminox.
Luminox uses an innovative carbon compound material – CARBONOX ™ – for its ultra-lightweight watches, favored by elite professionals and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
With CARBONOX ™ , Luminox creates high-tech timepieces with a very rigid and hard finished watch case that takes ruggedness and durability to a whole new level. Luminox has a long history with CARBONOX ™ , using this material for its watch cases, and some bracelets, since 2006.
Today we’re familiar with carbon in a variety of goods and equipment where it is used as a lightweight alternative to materials such as aluminium.
Carbon materials are regularly used in high tech industries such as construction, automotive racing and aerospace. CARBONOX ™ was inspired by professionals around the world who choose carbon because of its perfect combination of strength and durability.
CARBONOX ™ is a trademark of Luminox.
CARBONOX ™ consists of carbon powder in varying percentages depending on the watch model.

More and more people are discovering the magic of mechanical movements – automatic movements actually interact with you, as the movement of your wrist keeps them wound – with no battery to change!
An automatic movement is a mechanical movement with a self-winding design which harnesses the energy produced by the wearer’s motion to wind the spring. The watch maintains its power reserve if you wear it every day otherwise it is advisable to store it on a watch winder to keep it at full power.
Automatic Swiss Made Power reserve: 38 hours

SINCE 2020, LUMINOX (AS PART OF MONDAINE WATCH LTD.) IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S FIRST CARBON-NEUTRAL WATCH BRANDS.
The Mondaine Group is in tune with the times and, as a global SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise), is taking a leading role. Since 2020, the Group has been presumably the first watch company in the world to be comprehensively CO2 neutral on scope 1, 2 and 3 of the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) protocol across all four of its brands, encompassing the factory, the offices and the manufacture of the watches, watch parts and packaging, making the family-owned business genuine trailblazers. Corporate sustainability and a sense of environmental and social responsibility have been an integral part of the Mondaine Group’s DNA for decades.
The Mondaine Group has long known that time is a precious commodity. And how we use it is even more important. The Swiss family-owned business has been investing heavily in the future of the planet and began long before the environment became a hot topic for the general public. «When it comes to sustainability, there have been ongoing improvements across all areas of the company and the time is now right, » says co-owner André Bernheim.
As a greenhouse gas, CO2 contributes significantly to global warming and is therefore also responsible for the increasing imbalances in the eco-system. The Mondaine Group has been engaged in efforts to reduce its own carbon footprint for several decades. The installation of a large photovoltaic system at the factory in Solothurn in autumn 2019 has led to a reduction of up to 80% in greenhouse gas emissions resulting from power generation. «We have been engaged across all areas of the business: the photovoltaic system on the factory roof, the use of hydroelectricity at our headquarters, a reduction in the volume and weight of packaging and the use of eco-friendlier materials in our packaging, casings and straps have all had a positive impact on our carbon footprint» says board member and Head of Sustainability, André Bernheim. Our guiding principle is WE CARE – about our environment and about social factors throughout the supply chain.
Today, everyone has to do their part to make the world a better, and more sustainable place to live.
For Luminox, this has meant revamping its production processes, as well as partnering with a Swiss company to collect plastic waste from the ocean and using those materials to create the #tide series of watches.
Watches that use #tide ocean material ® :
3 x 500ml plastic water bottles 1 watch =
#tide ocean materials are made from 100% ocean-bound plastic, developed in partnership with Swiss scientists. On five islands in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Thailand, local fishermen are being trained and paid to gather and sort plastic waste.
The #tide material starts out as this collected plastic waste, which is then broken down by a sophisticated sustainable process to its base particles. These are treated, cleaned, and then shredded so that they can be injected, just like the original plastic it once was. In this way, Luminox reuses this material, reduces the impact on the planet, and helps to clean up the ocean, while also helping these indigenous people learn a new skill and make a regular income.
With the #tide series of watches you can feel good about helping Luminox make a difference. People talk about wearing your heart on your sleeve – with the #tide material series from Luminox, you can wear your environmental commitment on your wrist.

OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP
Luminox announced its historic partnership with Bear Grylls, the world’s most recognized face of survival and outdoor adventure, and is rolling out the full Luminox X Bear Grylls collection.
“Life isn‘t about how high you can climb but is about how many times you can fall down but get back up and keep moving onwards and upwards. And in those critical moments this watch has proved such a reliable friend to have by my side”.
All these watches have features exclusively specified by Bear Grylls to make them useful to him and other adventurers. Of course, all the models feature Luminox LLT technology so that the watch is visible in any lighting conditions and will remain visible for up to 25 years.
The partnership between Luminox and the Navy SEALs began in 1992 when Nick North, the Assistant Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Officer, sought a watch that would withstand the rigors and the harshest conditions of night missions. The ultra-light weight, extreme durability and unmatched Light Technology (LLT) were the features that turned the Original 3000 Series into the Navy SEALs’ chosen timepiece.
Luminox is honored to be selected to design and supply watches for one of the most elite and respected Special Forces in the world.
Luminox is proud to be an Official Partner of the Navy SEAL Foundation. The mission of the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF) is to provide immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community and its families, the families of NSW fallen, and SEAL and SWCC veterans.
U.S. Navy SEALs have been in sustained combat for nearly two decades, performing hazardous work in unforgiving environments at an unrelenting pace. NSW operators are currently deployed in over 30+ countries across the globe and can spend up to 270 days each year in harm’s way.
The Navy SEAL Foundation stands behind these warriors and their families by providing a comprehensive set of programs specifically designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resilience, empower and educate families and provide critical support during times of illness, injury or loss.

As the official partner of the Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue (ICE-SAR) Luminox is committed to creating watches that meet the needs of these intrepid public servants as they go about their daily duties – which can mean dealing with volcanic eruptions, avalanches, shipwrecks, mega storms and even more.
The ICE-SAR teams need a timepiece on which they can rely, which is why they chose Luminox as their official timepiece. With its rugged, shock resistant construction, robust water resistance and luminosity, Luminox certainly fits the bill. In addition to ice, heavy rains and strong winds, ICE-SAR also has to deal with limited daylight visibility as Iceland remains in partial or total darkness during several months in winter. In such conditions, Luminox watches and their unique self-powered illumination system – providing constant glow for up to 25 years – truly become essential gear to ICE-SAR teams in order to conduct their missions.
In 1998, Luminox was approached by U.S Air Force pilots flying the F-117 Nighthawk™ stealth fighter jet, to create a watch. This turned into a worldwide license agreement to produce Lockheed Martin timepieces.
The Luminox Air Series has its origins in our partnership with renowned fighter aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin.
The watches are inspired by the world-famous F-117 NighthawkTM , the CONSTELLATION ® and the P-38 LIGHTNING ® three unique Lockheed Martin Aircrafts.
As part of Luminox’s support for the Navy SEALs, we have been proud to support FORCE BLUE for multiple years on many different levels. We are now extremely pleased to be Official Partner!
FORCE BLUE is a group of Special Operations Veterans who have come together to link their technical and unparalleled diving skills with ecologically sustainable and marine conservation projects that require their unique capabilities.
By repurposing the skills learned during their service, FORCE BLUE team members can carry out underwater missions with the same level of purpose and thoroughness that they demonstrated while on the frontlines.
Luminox is proud to support FORCE BLUE in its efforts to preserve marine resources and provide Special Forces veterans with a meaningful post-service cause.

Made up of a trio of gorgeous wristwatches, the Pacific Diver Automatic 3100 Series takes the beloved design of the original collection and transcends it to perform at an even higher level both in and out of the ocean - with its first Automatic series.
To evoke the spirit of the ocean, the Pacific Diver Automatics sport a distinct wave pattern dial and shimmering bezels with coloured ceramic ring inserts. However, the real magic happens below the surface where an intricate SELLITA automatic movement lives, providing a new level of precision powered by the wearer’s activity.
The watches feature full Luminox Light Technology across the hour markers, the hands and bezel. For even greater visibility, SuperLumiNova ® is used across the hour numbers on the 3101 and 3104, whilst the standout is the 3101.H with SuperLumiNova ® across the full dial.
Whether you’re in the office, catching a wave, or hundreds of meters underwater, these dynamic timepieces are engineered for peak performance.

Take to the skies with our AIR watches. With their characteristics, such as high durability and extreme illumination power, which lasts for up to 25 years thanks to our Luminox Light Technology (LLT) self-powered illumination system, these watches are the perfect companion for your next adventure. The Series has its origins in our partnership with renowned fighter aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin, which still operates today.
› P-38 LIGHTNING ® 9520 Series
› F-117 NighthawkTM 6400 Series
The Luminox Air Pilot P-38 LIGHTNING ® lives up to the storied fighter jet that heroically served during WWII in both the European and Asian Theaters of Operations. Feared by the enemy because of their maneuverability even at high altitudes, the fighter jet earned the nickname, The Fork Tailed Devil, by the Luftwaffe. Lockheed’s P-38 LIGHTNING ® was an engineering feat of it’s day, and the Luminox Air Pilot P-38 LIGHTNING® pays homage to both the design and functionality of this iconic airplane.
A nod to the traditional B-Uhr navigation watch of the 1940’s, just below 12 o’clock is an upwardly pointing triangle with two dots providing quick orientation and the ability to read the time at a glance.

The F-117 NighthawkTM was thanks to its design and speed almost invisible for radar, ‘reflecting’ only a small percentage of its shape in any one direction, and, from the front, it’s hardly as ‘big’ a Blip on a Radar Screen. The sleek charcoal aerodynamic contours of the aircraft has been the inspiration for the diamond-shaped faceted bezel and the angular links of the bracelet. The matt look of the case is reminiscent of the jet’s surface. The Arabic numerals on the dial and bezel feature a stencil font from the cockpit in an ice blue SuperLuminova for a glow-in-the-dark effect. Along with the LLTs in contrasting vivid yellow, the watch has unmatched night visibility in all conditions and a singular stealth aesthetic. The F-117 NighthawkTM boasts a multi-jewel Swiss Quartz movement with GMT function for dual time zones with anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

1.
– Measure your wrist size using the ruler found on the end of this document and add a tolerance of 5mm to your wrist size to ensure you have a long enough strap.
i.e: If your wrist is 18cm long, add +5mm tolerance for a final measurement of 18.5cm total length.
You can adjust the final strap length with the deployment buckle at the end.
2.
– Remove the deployment buckle from both ends of the strap by using a strap changing tool or other suitable device.
– Strap changing tools can be purchased on luminox.com
5.
– Cut the strap in the designated slots with sharp scissors.
6.
– To re-assemble the strap, watch case and deployment buckle you first have to remove the watch case.
– De-tach the watch case from the strap usingthe quick release spring bars.
– Attach the strap to your watch case by using the quick release spring bars which can be operated without a tool.
– The strap part with the LUMI spelling must be attached to the 6 o’clock side of the watch case.
– The strap part with the NOX spelling must be attached to the 12 o’clock side of the
7.
– Place the spring bars into the ends of both strap sides.
– The less wide side of the strap fits into the deployment buckle opening.
– The security clasp should open in the direction of the LUMI spelling side of the strap. The NOX spelling side of the strap should be closest to the Luminox logo part of the security clasp.
4.
– Lay the watch and strap flat on a surface. Use the ruler to measure the entire length of the watch and strap.
– If the full watch and strap is 22.5cm long and your measured wrist is 18.5cm, then the strap is 4cm too long which you will have to cut off.
– Always try and cut off the same amount on both sides of the strap so that the watch case is centered in the middle of both strap sides.
– If the length to cut results in an odd number (in this case 4.5cm) cut off more on the LUMI spelling side. For this example, cut off 2.5cm on the LUMI spelling side and 2cm off on the NOX spelling side of the strap.
– Always cut along the designated slots which are each 5mm long.
– Attach the watch case to the strap using the quick release spring bars.
