The Pedagogical Week
THE PEDAGOGICAL WEEK AT LUSEM
Welcome to the Pedagogical Week at LUSEM
Welcome to LUSEMs pedagogical week 2025!
LUSEMs mission is Educational for Impact and Innovation in the pursuit of “balanced excellence”. High quality university teaching is vital for shaping the future and creating a positive impact on students, communities, and society. It prepares our students not only for their careers but also for informed citizenship, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills that allow them to tackle global challenges. The footprint of teaching at LUSEM extends far beyond the classroom, influencing economic development and addressing local and global issues.
In an era characterized by global challenges, our commitment to educational excellence has never been more crucial. This week, we focus on advancing pedagogical practices that not only uphold traditional academic values but also cultivate the professional skills necessary for students to address complex societal issues. Our aim is to empower our students with the analytical and innovative capabilities required for responsible leadership on a global scale.
Throughout this week, you can explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning. We invite you to examine new methodologies, share best practices, and ultimately strengthen our collective mission: To provide education that drives meaningful impact and contributes to a better society.
Join us for Open Classroom, an invaluable opportunity to share insights and learn from colleagues by observing their teaching. Attend a colleague’s lecture, seminar, or other learning events to observe, reflect, and provide constructive feedback. Faculty will be available all week for enriching pedagogical discussions.
Sign up for the events you find interesting. You can choose a single lecture or seminar during the week or enroll in the whole program. Some events have limited space; the first-come, first-served principle applies. Together, we can deliver transformative education for a sustainable future!
Looking forward to an interesting week,
Ulrika Wennersten, Vice Dean Education Associate professor in Business Law
