Q&A
Q&A Wolf Creek Restaurant Laina McFerren, Co-Founder
Please give us a brief history of Wolf Creek Restaurant and tell us what it’s all about.
Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Co began on April 1, 1997, when husband and wife team, Rob and Laina McFerren, realized their dream to open a restaurant and brewery. We’ve been serving our delicious, hand crafted ales and made from scratch food for nearly 25 years, winning lots of awards for both along the way. We call it “staples with a twist” and our wide, varied menu has something for everyone. Dine in or take out with our convenient “backside pickup” and don’t forget the beer!
What can a visitor expect to see and experience when coming to Wolf Creek Restaurant? We have a big, beautiful patio and a fun rustic experience at Wolf Creek. Our seasoned staff can help guide you through the menu while enjoying one of our handcrafted ales.
30
(661) 255-4347 VISITSANTACLARITA.COM
Tell us about a seasonal and/or yearround favorites on the menu. One of the things that is so great about Wolf Creek is the variety of beers we do. With over 20 years of experience behind us, we have made all kinds of different beers. Our flagships include our Golden Eagle (blonde) Ale, Howlin’ Hefeweizen and our Desperado IPA. We also do lots of seasonal beers including a rotating Single Hop IPA, a Pumpkinweizen and a Winter Wonderland. Our house made desserts rotate daily, so make sure to save room! Speaking of desserts – we would be remiss if we didn’t brag a little bit about our pastry-chef, Meghan! She’s been with us from day one and always has something amazing to offer. Her famous chocolate cake is the best around and, once again, she took the award for best desserts in Santa Clarita! There’s always a cheesecake, carrot cake and something fun and seasonal in the line-up – just ask your server for the daily choices!

LOCALS
Round Up
We asked some locals to describe their perfect day in SANTA CLARITA. Here is what they had to say: Weekends in Santa Clarita are the best. We start off with a long walk through the paseos and head over for a delicious cold brew from Havana Savannah. After shopping with my husband at the Patios we stop by Wolf Creek Restaurant for some craft beer, their amazing olive tapenade, bread and lunch. A great girls night begins with dinner at Salt Creek and over to Pinot's Palette for some fun painting with friends. Cory Peterson-Owner Peterson Printing My perfect day would start by getting a breakfast pizza at The Daily Harvest and iced coffee at Honu. Then I would head out with my dog to Central Park, which is our favorite place to go because of the off-leash area where she gets to run around and play with the other puppies. I’d spend the rest of the day doing some shopping at Westfield Valencia Town Center or browsing the used book at The Open Book! Cailin Garcia City of Santa Clarita Administrative Analyst I love to start my day early with my two daughters for breakfast at Casa Canela. We love to share their huevos rancheros and Belgian-style waffles, topping it all off with a fresh glass of horchata. From there we make our way to Central Park, with our mini pincher Bella, where the girls get to play on the play sets and Bella gets to meet new friends in the dog park. On any given evening you could find me on Main Street in downtown Newhall enjoying a coconut sundae from POPS Artisanal Creamery after having a BBQ tri-tip salad from Smokehouse on Main. Desiree Wammack Area Director of Sales Dimension Development My perfect day starts with looking out at the view from the hills of Stevenson Ranch, watching the hawks circle over the canyon. From there, I’ll head down to Neallie’s Skillet for breakfast, then over to Willian S. Hart Park with my daughter to hang out with the bison, see the old trains and houses and imagine what it was like to be here a hundred years ago. Next, a stroll down Main Street in Old Town, where I’ll stop in for some wine at Pulchella Winery with Joey, Goalie, Nate, and Steve. By this time. I’ll need to head to work at the Double Trouble Wine Room and pour some of my own Hoi Polloi Winery wines, along with Scott and Sidney from Pagter Brothers Winery (yes, two wineries under the same roof!) while listening to some excellent live music. Q&A
Q&A Six Flags Magic Mountain Don McCoy, Park President
What’s your favorite thing to experience in the park?
You might think it’s a roller coaster but for me, it’s all about the people. My favorite thing is getting to see people happy and having a great time. When I’m in the park, it’s seeing our team members enjoying themselves and witnessing how hard they work. I get to walk outside into a world-class “Thrill Capital of the World” amusement park and interface with our team members and guests. It’s the people that truly make the experience the best. And of course, being able to enjoy and experience the park itself. Six Flags Magic Mountain has so much to offer, with thrills for people of all ages.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is billed as the “Thrill Capital of the World,” what sets Magic Mountain apart from other theme parks?
It’s absolutely the collection of roller coasters. Six Flags Magic Mountain is known for having high-thrill attractions – the tallest, the fastest, the first-of-its-kind coasters. Every ride is unique and different, and has its place in our iconic line up. Everything that makes Six Flags Magic Mountain the “Thrill Capital of the World” is attributed to not only having more world-class coasters than any other theme park on the planet, but also having the biggest and the best.

What can guests look forward to with new additions to the park? Six Flags, as a brand, has always promised to deliver the biggest thrills and offer something for guests of all ages. At Six Flags Magic Mountain we strive to deliver just that. We’re continuously working to be more innovative with new technology and offerings, to really increase that overall guest experience. What’s important to note too, is our commitment to the community. Six Flags is dedicated to giving back, ensuring the well-being of everyone with focus on staying green and improving our efforts towards decarbonization. I can promise that guests will start to see something new in every aspect of their visit to the park, from the moment they arrive to the very moment they leave.
Presenting high quality seasonal events and offerings has seemed to be a real focus, what can visitors look forward to with Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park and is there anything else that we should put on the radar? We’re committed to upping the thrill factor in all aspects at the park. At Six Flags Magic Mountain, Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park are just two seasonal events that we know our guests look forward to year after year. Looking ahead, we’re always developing plans to expand the product with new additions, embracing and infusing new technology as we go, not only for these events, but for July 4th Fest in the summer and others.
