Hello Friends, While it’s always prudent to be cautious, it’s fair to say that our economy turned a corner, or at least took a gradual ‘bend’ in the right direction, earlier this year. Our real estate market breathed a sigh of relief and the realtors that service that market are looking at the glass half full again, instead of half empty. While it typically takes longer for the effects of economic recovery to work their way up to the luxury real estate market, we’ve already seen some very strong signs including two record setting sales in our own back yard in Calgary. Congratulations go to the Gordon Ross team for their role in the sale of the hockey legend’s property. Congratulations also to Christa Frosch of Sotheby’s International Realty for her role in achieving Canada’s highest priced property sale for 2009 at $13.1M just south of Calgary. We’ve got a fantastic issue for you with pages lined with sumptous “dream homes” and “dream living” content from one end to the other. I’ll wager you’ll have a hard time putting it down.
