PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW
MARCH 24-27, PALM BEACH, FL One of the top five boat shows in the U.S., the Palm Beach International Boat Show features more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts and accessories, including hundreds of boats ranging from 8-foot inflatables to super yachts nearly 200 feet in length. Located along the waterfront and Flagler Drive in Downtown West Palm Beach, the outdoor show includes live music and refreshments at the famous floating cocktail lounges. FRIDA: IMMERSIVE DREAM
MARCH 3 - JUNE 11, HOLLYWOOD, CA The groundbreaking team behind “Immersive Van Gogh” has announced the next painter taking over Lighthouse, their Hollywood art space: Frida Kahlo. The Mexican painter’s surrealist portraits will mix alongside historical photographs in “Frida: Immersive Dream,” a multicity spectacle put on by Lighthouse Immersive and Impact Museums. Guests strolling the 25,000-square-foot gallery will see the artist’s work come to life in large-scale projections, accompanied by a haunting musical score from Massimiliano Siccardi. THE BOSTON MARATHON
APRIL 18, BOSTON, MA The Boston Marathon began in 1897 with only 15 participants and is the world’s oldest annual marathon, as well as one of the world’s most prestigious road racing events. The marathon has distinguished itself as the pinnacle event within the sport of road racing by virtue of its traditions, longevity and method of gaining entry into the race (via qualification). APRIL 29-MAY 1, INDIO, CA Make the pilgrimage to country music’s biggest jamboree at the Empire Polo Club. For the three-day fest, expect the usual mix of contemporary and classic country. MET GALA
MAY 2, NEW YORK CITY The 2022 Spring Met Gala theme will be “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” the second in a two-part exhibit meant to spotlight American designers that launched in September of 2021. The hosts this year will be Amanda Gorman, the 23-year-old U.S. presidential inaugural poet; actor Timothée Chalamet; tennis champion and mental health activist Naomi Osaka; and Billie Eilish, the 19-yearold singer-songwriter. The honorary co-chairs for the gala will be Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri and designer Tom Ford.
INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY FURNITURE FAIR
MAY 15-17, NEW YORK CITY The famous International Contemporary Furniture Fair returns to the Javits Center in spring for two days of exhibitions and panels for the main actors of the design sphere. With its emphasis on original and sustainable design, ICFF presents a broad range of furnishing products for residential, contract and hospitality environments to an audience of 10,000 architects, interior designers, retailers, distributors, developers and press from 25 countries.
