Polish skin care guru Joanna Czech is fashion’s favorite facialist. The esthetician counts Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian and Anna Wintour, to name just a few, as loyal customers. Known for her science-backed approach to skin care, Czech has 35 years of experience under her belt and knows what it takes to achieve perfect skin, which explains her two year waitlist.
Known for using both machines and massage techniques within her signature facials, Czech works deep in the muscles to lift and sculpt the face, combining it with LED light therapy, cryotherapy, Lyma Laser and microcurrent therapy.
While the remedy for glowing skin is different for everyone, Czech recently launched her first-ever products emphasizing skin care basics. The Kit contains seven skin care
Skin care guru Joanna Czech; some of Czech’s skin care essentials essentials formulated by Czech and chemists in Los Angeles and is designed to restore complexions, reduce hyperpimentation and increase hydration.
“The Kit was inspired by my lifestyle and 80% of my clients’ lifestyles,” she says. “I travel nonstop and needed something that would adapt to temperature and climate changes. Plus, nobody should have a 17-step skin care routine on a daily basis, but you do need your five basic steps.”
The Kit helps to balance the skin’s pH, repair the skin’s barrier, energize cells and reduce oxidative stress. She said that hyaluronic acid, found in The Soothing Serum, and Vitamin C, found in The C+ Serum, are two important essentials. She also designed the ultra-hydrating Balm to be used as a skin protector and hydrator. Every ingredient was carefully chosen, from the rosemary extract in The Cleansing Wipes, to the weathered volcanic ash in The Face Mask.
The real change to our skin, though, is what we put in our bodies. “It starts inside with our digestive systems, meaning what we eat and how much water we drink,” she says. “It’s also important to incorporate movement for blood flow. Next, you need your basic ingredients like vitamins A, C, E and peptides. Be consistent and be sure to focus on your nighttime routine when the skin has about 60% more efficacy to absorb everything.”
Czech has studios in Dallas and New York and plans to launch pop-ups in Los Angeles soon. (joannaczech.com)
