wo homes, both waterfront. Neither backyard had been updated since the homes were built, and it was important the outdoor space complemented the sophisticated styles of the homes’ interiors. Both outdoor renovations incorporate all the elements of Zen: earth, fire, water, wood and metal. Rogers Design Group stepped in to transform the backyard loggias, which received a complete overhaul. The end result? One decidedly modern, one more transitional; both re-imagined spaces create attractive, peaceful places to relax or entertain.
The 4 silver travertine columns that support the ceiling from the exterior to interior also house the recessed track for the phantom screens. A ceiling divided into four quadrants each reinforces 2 recessed lights and a speaker for music. An ivory and taupe sofa and four bent rattan chairs surround a custom designed bronze table topped with a Calcutta slab.
Notwithstanding the spectacular view of waterways leading to the intracoastal, this covered loggia was an exercise in an eclectic multimedia design. Various pieces were from Janus ET-Cie. Custom designed by Rogers Design Group, the columns camouflaged the remote-controlled screens as well as hurricane shutters.
The peaceful sound of water can be heard from this yen like sculpture of concentric circles. It greets guests at this beautiful waterfront home in Admirals Cove, Jupiter.
