How did you start in real estate? My mother, Joan Thomson, is the reason I am in real estate. She’s been an agent since 1969 and focused primarily in Northern Palm Beach County waterfront properties, becoming the expert in that area. I sat in the passenger seat of my mother’s car as a child and listened to her talk about real estate, and I would get so tired of hearing her talk about it, not knowing I was getting the education of a lifetime. It was such a golden opportunity to learn from her. Hearing her talk real estate so often helped it become second nature to me. She was very passionate about her sales techniques and continues to be my mentor.
