July 4th Weekend Itinerary

The Schaffer’s Mill Summer Concert Series: Don’t miss this amazing night as our series continues with its 2nd installment- featuring a concert by performing artists “The Sugar Pines” Lunch and Dinner Festivities: will be pool-side July 1st, including lunch, dinner, open bar and dancing late into the night! Our Hawaiian Luau dinner will be on Saturday July 1st from 6:00-9:00 pm and will include all the favorites like whole roast pig, ahi poke, lomilomi salmon, Mai-Tai’s and more!

Kid’s activities including: The Mill Bounce House, Frisbee golf, whiffle-ball games, Photo Booth, Arts and Crafts tent, Face Painters & Balloon Artists, and swimming/pool games at the Schaffer’s Mill Pool Pavilion in the North Village.

A Round of golf for Two: Play our award-winning course on Saturday July 1st or Sunday July 2nd Putting Contest: compete in Several Putting contests for adults and kids with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.

Ice Cream Truck: Saturday July 1st, from 11:00am-3:00 pm, back by popular demand is Super Swirl, Schaffers Mill’s favorite ice cream truck. Serving all your favorites and complimentary to guests, don’t miss your chance to be a kid again!

Tennis & Pickle Ball: Schaffer’s Mill celebrates its nine-year anniversary of the opening of the Schaffer’s Mill Tennis & Pickle Ball facility over July 4th weekend. With several pickleball tournaments all weekend long this is your chance to test your skills.

Property Previews: Be among the first to preview the newest release of property as Schaffer’s Mill gets set to unveil “The Fairway Lodges” this July 4th weekend. With some of the most dramatic views of the Sierra Mountain Range and double fairway views of the Johnny Miller designed course, these fully furnished homes are a must see this holiday weekend.

Get ready for a day packed with awesome kids' activities that'll keep everyone grinning from ear to ear. The pool will be jumpin' with excitement, and Schaffer's Square will be the ultimate playground with a cool kids' bounce house, epic games, face painting, balloon fun, and an ice cream truck!

Why We Chose Schaffer’s Mill

An owner story with Pat & Jane Marivielas

We were first introduced to Schaffer’s Mill in 2015 and immediately fell in love with everything we saw inside the gates. We had been looking for a community for years that could provide us with activities for the entire family in the winter and summer seasons. Looking around at other communities, we felt none offered the private, family friendly lifestyle in a laid back setting like Schaffer’s Mill. We also wanted a community that offered more than just golf because while I can play every day and be quite content, the rest of the family isn’t as avid a golfer as I am.

We purchased our first Mountain Lodge in 2018 and immediately felt like it was the best decision we could have made. We loved it so much that we started thinking about building, and without hesitation, something I am known for, we purchased a homesite with the idea of building in a few years. At that point, I was told by my friends, family, and even the Schaffer’s Mill Realty team, that I had been cut off and was no longer allowed to make any more purchases. Oh were they wrong!

After being in our Mountain Lodge for a few years, we realized we wanted to spend as much time at Schaffer’s Mill as possible, so it was time for something bigger. However, we didn't want to wait that long to build, so I decided to buy a larger Mountain Lodge instead.

Fast forward a year. We just moved in and couldn't be any happier. The place suits us perfectly and is the right size for our growing family. So, it's true what they say, the third time's a charm! And the one thing they don't tell you in all the marketing materials is how incredible all the other owners are within the community. On any given night, you can go up to the Sawyer restaurant and meet someone new, and the next day you are over at their house having drinks, making plans to go out on a boat, or playing golf with them. And in the last few years, we have made better friends here than in our hometown of Tracy, where we have been for 30 years. The amenities are amazing, but the owners are what make Schaffer’s Mill so special. It has truly been a life-changing experience and look forward to the years to come.

Slip, Dip, and Grip - The Schaffers Mill Summer Triathlon

• Slip, Dip, & Grip - the Schaffer's Mill Summer Triathlon is here! Join us for a fun and unique day around Tahoe.

• Slip down the mountain on your skis or board at Alpine Valley Resort with one of the most unique experiences Tahoe has to offer - Skiing in July! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

• Dip into Lake Tahoe's clear blue water to cool down! Lake Tahoe has been the clearest it's been in 40 years- water clarity depth reaching 80.6'.

• Grip your club for our Wedge Contest! Don't be late - Golf Director, Justin, will have a 3:00pm Wedge Talk at the start to prepare you for the win! Enjoy music and drinks on the range.

• Don't forget to Sip! We will have drinks available on the beach and range.

• The cost is $40 per person which includes drinks, snacks, shuttle transportation, and a triathlon tshirt*. There will be a Grand Prize for the winner! Winner must participate in skiing, jumping in the lake, and win the wedge competition!

• Shuttle space is limited so please be sure to select the correct ticket option when registering!

SLIP • 9:00 am - 11:00 am (8:00am Shuttle Departure from The Clubhouse)

• Ride our shuttle to relax, snack, and sip while you get driven through traffic! Please register on MSM to save your spot! Limited shuttle space available. You are also free to drive yourself and meet there!

• *In order to participate in the skiing portion, you must purchase a day lift ticket for $99 per person or use your Ikon season pass for lift access. If uninterested in skiing, you are welcome to join along for the ride to Alpine Ski Resort and get drinks/snacks at the base of the mountain while soaking up the sun!

• DIP • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

• After our Dip, the shuttle will drop you off back at The Clubhouse. You will have time to stop home if you would like to change and get prepared for the next challenge!

• GRIP • 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

• Meet back on the Driving Range for our 3:00pm Wedge Talk with Director of Golf, Justin Saragueta Learn tips and tricks to help you make the best shot! You may also arrive early for some sips before your grips.
