To calculate the length of the radiator, multiply the number of sections by the section width (see table above), then add 24mm for

bushes. Please note there is a +/- 2mm manufacturers tolerance per section. We strongly recommend not setting pipework until the radiator has been delivered. We will always strive to keep on-site assembly to a minimum, but for radiators larger than the maximum factory assembled size (see charts above) on-site assembly will be required.

Electric only models are factory filled and tested, ready for electrical connection, with the MHS Smart electric element fitted to the right hand side (unless otherwise specified).

Correction factors

The outputs shown within this brochure are based on BS EN442. BS EN442 specifies that all outputs must be stated at ΔT 50°C, which is based on 75-65-20°C operating conditions.

The ΔT is calculated by taking the mean water temperature and deducting the ambient air temperature.

For example, a typical air-source heat pump system will have flow temperatures of 45°C and return temperatures of 40°C. With an ambient air temperature of 20°C, this means the system is operating at ΔT 22.5°C.

To calculate the output of a radiator at operating conditions other than ΔT 50°C, multiply the listed output by the correction factors shown in the table below.

Connected to the central heating system and supplied with the MHS Smart electrical element that can be used when the heating is off, typically during the summer months.

Dual fuel models are supplied with an electric element (loose) and two tee pieces to provide symmetrical connections.

Note: Installation should only be carried out by a qualified electrician and comply with all current UK regulations.

COLOUR MATCHING

If you’re looking for a colour other than those shown in our colour chart, we can finish your radiator to any RAL colour in gloss, semi-gloss or matt finish. We also offer a colour match to most designer paint brands. Colours outside of our colour chart carry a £50 ex VAT (£60 inc VAT) special mixing charge (per colour).
