! You’ll Come A Long Way Baby: About Our Auctioneer, Laura Michalek ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Fundraising Auctioneer Laura Michalek still relies on the endurance and discipline she possessed when at the age of 15, she was the first female winner of the Chicago Marathon. While Ms. Michalek has hardly missed a day of running since then, it’s this intention to excel at what she loves that is most evident. “To me Auctioneering is about giving a lot of yourself, before and during the event, in a way that most folks wouldn’t expect.” Her style, fundraising insight, and commitment to her clients and their mission, not only sets her apart, but has created a career beyond Ms. Michalek’s wildest dreams. “I’ve always been deeply interested in how non-profits I care about are going to sustain themselves, so it is nothing less than a thrill to know I can personallyand professionally be part of that.” For 15 years prior to becoming a full time Fundraising Professional, Ms. Michalek owned and operated several nationally recognized vintage modern furniture stores in Seattle. “My critical eye, intuition, and energy level has been pretty consistent all these years, so whenever I set out to do something, it’s the same set of skills, just a slightly more developed new chapter.” As the youngest winner in the history of the Chicago Marathon, it has not been lost on Ms. Michalek that this experience informed her whole life. “When I start Auctioneering, it’s like being in the starting block all over again, and I still set out to win, however this time it’s for the organization I’m representing.” To hear what folks are saying about Ms. Michalek visit www.lauramichalek.com or email auctioneer@lauramichalek.com or call direct at 206.464.0850.

102 Domaine Pouillon Wine Cellar Domaine Pouillon is a family-owned and operated winery and farm located in the scenic Columbia River Gorge. Start your own wine cellar with this collection of their Katydid and Savoir-Faire wine.
!
Katydid presents itself in a classic old world style, with a nose full of raspberries and hint of earth. Proud tannic structure tells us this wine will age well with flavors of dark chocolate and cassis infused with spicy pepper.Â
!
Savoir-Faire has a dramatic nose of pineapple and asian pear and lends itself to the refined structure of an old world wine. Minerals and honey fill the palette as hidden notes of ginger excite the senses. A perfect pairing for poultry dishes and light cheeses.

117 One Week Long Session at Castle Rock Ranch Camp Castle Rock Ranch Camp is a summer camp for kids located in the Bitterroot Mountain Range in Idaho's northern panhandle. They are a kids camp with a farm-to-table curriculum, located on a ranch with a mile of frontage on the Coeur D'Alene river. Their mission is to cultivate an interest in ranch life, the outdoors, sustainable food, gardening, and agriculture, and to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the natural world in a soul-rejuvenating, rural setting. Kids ride horses and float down the river everyday, but also learn about ranch animal care and growing food. The majority of their food comes from the ranch: with an extensive vegetable garden and over 100 blueberry bushes, strawberry plants, and a raspberry orchard, in addition to chickens, cows and goats. Campers help with ranch chores in the morning – milking the goats, collecting eggs, feeding the animals and harvesting from the garden – and have the opportunity to help in the kitchen if they're interested as well.
