Leveraging Technology to Empower Educators

Welcome to the iSchool Initiative Travis Allen, 26 year old founder of the iSchool Initiative was a huge hit at the WVSTC 2015. He was a featured keynote speaker and a vendor at the Conference held in Morgantown. His goal is to educate educators to implement technology into their classrooms. His organization has been instrumental in helping schools go 1:1 or begin BYOD initiatives.

Last year Allen went on a nationwide tour to different schools all over the US promoting his iSchool Bus. It is a fully equipped bus with a SMART Board and classroom iPads. iSchool calls this the Digital Learning Revolution or the DLR Tour. The idea is to mobilize learning and empower student learning.

Allen is on a mission to empower students to begin to think and learn for themselves. Using the technology that they already know and apply it toward a deeper, more critical thinking set of skills. Travis Allen and his team are available for consulting with school districts and have grants opportunities available.
