GEEO is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and assisting teachers to travel abroad and share their experiences with their students upon their return to the classroom. Understanding the world today has never been more important to America's future. For most of us, this understanding begins in the classroom. Students look to their teachers for knowledge about a world that is not yet part of their own lived experience. By spending time abroad teachers gain fresh perspectives that deeply enrich their students' learning and global awareness.

GEEO is offering the following teacher travel programs in 2014: Angkor Adventure, NCTA Backroads of Japan, Bangkok to Hanoi, China, Costa Rica, Family Costa Rica, Galapagos, Greece, India/Nepal, Italy, Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Morocco, New Zeland, Peru, Portugal/Spain, Heart of Silk Road, South Africa, India Spring Break, Morocco Spring Break, Russia/Mongolia/China, Turkey, Vietnam

What is Wiki? A Wiki is a free expandable collection of interlinked webpages, and hypertext system for storing and modifying information, a data base, where each page is easily edited by any user. A Wiki can be thought of as a combination of a web site and a Word document. At its simplest, it can be read just like any other web site, with no access privileges necessary, but its real power lies in the fact that groups can collaboratively work on the content of the site using nothing but a standard web browser. Two Great Wiki Hosting Platforms to Start With: 1 – Wikispaces http://www.wikispaces.com/ 2 – PBWorks http://pbworks.com/
