TIS and That
A Meeting of the Minds During the days of June 23-25 2014, approximately 60 West Virginia Teachers gathered to begin their journey toward becoming a Technology Integration Specialist. The conference marks the beginning of 320 hours of work that will earn them the certification. Technology Integration Specialist, or TIS, assist PreK through 12 classroom teachers with staff development and instructional support through the use of technology. A TIS doesn’t fix broken computers. Instead they provide strategies and training to help teachers integrate technology into their lessons.# The conference instructed the TIS trainees on the technology they would be using to complete the course work and expectations to complete the program.#
